In our family we have a tradition of having donuts for breakfast when a family member is celebrating a birthday. Since my oldest daughter's birthday occurred while we were vacationing nearby, we stopped here to get a dozen. I chose two of their Key lime donuts and she chose the remaining ten. We took them back to the beach house for breakfast and everyone agreed that the donuts were fresh and yummy. My wife said the Key lime donut was awesome, and the birthday girl loved the "heavenly creme" donut. I had a terrible experience with Swillerbees in Flagler Beach. A customer in Swillerbees told me she also comes to House of Donuts and maybe I would have better luck. Stopped here while driving down A1A. Purchased a donut for my two kids and myself. Purchased a glazed, vanilla frosted with sprinkles and a blueberry cake donut. The east donuts were EXCELLENT! We have a very ill daughter who was treated very rudely by a guy. We went back to calmly discuss with him. Come to find out he's the owner. When we told him her situation and why she was walking so slowly he didn't have one bit of compassion or remorse. He yelled at us and told us he had work to do and for us to get out. I ordered from House of Donuts 3 days in advance on Grub Hub and my order was canceled an hour after it was scheduled to arrive. I first got a call from Grub Hub notifying me that my order had been canceled. After the call, I called a House of Donuts to get a better understanding as to why my answer was canceled and to find a resolution. This order was a surprise gift for friends out of town so I could not got into the restaurant to pay/order in store. The employee on the call proceeded to yell at me and accuse me of trying to get out of paying for the food. Apparently they do not accept Grub Hub orders whilst paying to advertise on the app. Overall, customer service was horrible! read more

Cute little donut shop in OBS - always see people sitting outside which attracted me to try the place. While I did not have a donut that day, they certainly looked amazing and what the locals come in for. They also have an assortment of other baked goods and bagels. I decided to try a bagel and made a "breakfast sandwich" with eggs, cheese & tomato. Coming from NY, I am going to be a bit critical but honestly bagels not fresh at all. They were even wrapped up - least take it out of wrap to make it seem "fresh." While the taste was good, the freshness was not there. I asked for a poached egg but it came out more hard boiled like. Also a little disappointed that they did not have so much variety in ways to top your bagel but I guess it's called "House of Donuts" for a reason. The prices were pretty up there too. The girl behind counter was very nice though and helpful. Maybe come back here to try a donut next time. read more

The dougnuts are good, as is the coffee. This place has a lot of retiree regulars, so if you go at the right time, it's a throwback to another era. Long time customer of House of Donuts. I have been in Ormond Beach for a few years now and have been through two sets of owners, the previous ones and the current ones. I consider myself a regular with 2-4 visits a month on average. Today I went in to get a single donut and I have always paid $1.08 for a donut, I know this because I bring 4 quarters and a dime and have always given 2¢ to the tip jar. Today they told me it was $1.16 and I politely asked the lady helping me if they had raised their prices and the owner immediately stepped in and aggressively came at me and said "NO". At this point I didn't want 80¢ in change so I used my card to pay. While still standing there with my card in their chip machine, the owner asked me why I don't use the cash in my wallet to pay. Why didn't I? Because it's not up to him. He then continued to argue with me on the way out the door about the price and payment method.
