Absolutely zero complaints about the visit today. We stopped in for a quick lunch at Beach Hut Deli. We were immediately greeted and offered to take our order. We ordered a large Surfin Bird which is turkey, bacon, cream cheese avocado, lettuce, tomato, red onion and pepperoncinis. So delicious. It was served on a soft Italian roll with mayo and dressing. We shared a large and it was just about more than we could finish. We added a cup of clam chowder which was the soup of the day and was very good and loaded with bacon. They have a selection of drinks but we just had water. They do have happy hour for $1 off beers after 3:00. The restaurant is clean and delightfully decorated in a beach theme. The tables are quasi surfboards. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the service is quick and the price is right. Hadn't been there for quite a while but having come back, I will be returning. Everything was so fresh and tasty and lots and lots of meat and cheese and toppings. Highly recommended. read more

This place is good and used to be really cool pre covid. They have a cool ambiance with wall art and some arcade games but they used to have a whole room dedicated to cool retro arcade games and they sadly stopped allowing people to use that room. I normally get the surfin bird and it's such a good sandwich! Cream cheese, bacon, avocado and turkey (best of everything)! My husband also always gets the Santa Cruz and it's really good. We recently decided to branch out a little and try the meatball sub and it was just okay. It ha peppercinis, sauce, cheese, meatballs and cream cheese in toasted bread. It's so messy you can't pick it up and eat it has to be eaten with a fork and knife and the meatballs are really lacking and cut in half for some reason. They are kind of like frozen meatballs it seems like. The people are always nice here although they seem not to be the most attentive. Customer service is fine just not always the most work inclined people work here. They also have local beer on tap which is plus! Definitely come back when we are craving a good Sammy! read more

They have a bunch of sandwiches to choose from which is great but, I would say they're very PRICEY. The service was good but, they did give my order to another group. Normally, I consider this place a bit too expensive, but my wife really wanted to try a couple of sandwiches. So she went and got few different sandwiches. There's not that much difference between the price of two 6 inch sandwiches and a foot-long. So we decided to try a few different sandwiches. What we ordered Pig kahuna North shore Santa Cruz High tide One thing we notices there was plenty of meat on all of the sandwiches. This place is expensive, however, they were not stingy. The only one that came up a bit short was the high tide. We ordered it hot, like a melt. And it seemed to have less meat and also the avocado was hard to find lol. We have always loved beach hut so I think it is time for a review! We have always had a comfortable, clean place to sit and eat and everyone has always been helpful and the food comes out quick! I love that they have the Voodoo Chips and also some of the best salt and vinegar chips as well. Shark Bite, Surfin' Bird, Surfin' Pig, and Marley Nachos are some of our standbys and we love each and everyone of them. My stepson is OBSESSED with a Skinny Dipper and can inhale a large one in minutes. My husband and I always split a sandwich and this time we went for The Woody. As always we were not disappointed. Perfectly toasted, warm and gooey cheese with the crisp bite of the onion and lettuce. Because of Beach Hut I try to keep cream cheese on hand at home for my own sandwiches! Beach Hit Deli is a great spot to get a great specialty or classic sandwich. I've eaten here a few times over the years but this was my first trip to the Las Brisas location. I like the decor and appreciate the outdoor patio seating. They have a nice decor inside with the classic beach theme seating and a TMNT mural! The menu can be overwhelming with the amount of sandwich choices but I always find a good one. I went with the classic Pastrami and Cheese with everything. You can see by the picture that it comes fully loaded with meat and toppings. Beach Hut also has beers on draft which hits the spot on a hot afternoon hanging on the patio. Everything was great, the servers were friendly and quick to get our order and all the food was great. Look forward to my next visit and the next delicious new sandwich for me to try! read more

In the past I have enjoyed Beach hut food (although over priced). Unfortunately, when I was there recently it was horrible. I had a regular sizes tuna sandwich. Seems easy enough right?! It took the 2 teenagers FOREVER to make and was flavorless and had big chunks of unmixed tuna in it. My son had a regular size pastrami......it was the smallest pastrami sandwich I've ever seen! Decided to try this place for the pictures in previous reviews, which made the sandwiches stacked with meat. So we tried 4 sandwiches-The North Shore, The High Tide,Santa Cruz, and the Pig Kahuna. If the 4 sandwiches only one wasn't packed with meat, the High Tide came up as a low tide... The wheat roll on the North Shore sandwich didn't seem like it was fresh,kind of stale bread. If you like cheese, there's a big chunk of cream cheese in the Santa Cruz. If you like pulled pork, the Pig Kahuna is packed with bbq pork and pineapple. I opted for no Tabasco on my sandwich. The BBQ sauce they use is a bit on the spicy side,but if you like a spicier sandwich, Tabasco away. All in all, for a sandwich place, it was pretty good. This place has a tendency to get backed up during lunchtime. It also doesn't take online orders until 1030 which is really late. I'd like to see the business adopt a policy for call in To Go orders be placed on the side or counter the public can access. Allowing customers on a time crunch to bypass the queue. Similar to what Starbucks does and what many other businesses have adopted. Let's face it, if we've ordered it remotely and prepaid for it the last thing a customer wants to do is wait in a busy line to just get their order. Let's leave the traffic mentality in California and embrace Nevada's expeditiousness. Your customers will appreciate the efficiency and those that want to cruise through their lunch hour the old fashion way waiting 20 minutes for their order to be made can do so- but not in the passing lane holding up traffic read more

I love beach but deli! I would say tho I got spoiled with the beach hut delis in California because they were always top notch and made to perfection. This location can be a hit or miss depending on who's working. When it's the younger workers food isn't made as perfectly. Sandwiches can be a bit messy, and last time I got a sandwich that was supposed to be warm and the middle was not warmer through all the way. I love beach but food so much that I'll still be back, just a lil sad it's not as great as the locations in the Auburn, ca locations. read more

The sandwiches are all beach / surfer themed names and you can get them 6", 9", or 12" sizes. There were quite a few that came with cream cheese on them! I thought that sounded weird but the gal behind the counter convinced me to keep it in. I ordered the Surfin Bird with tons of turkey, avocado, and some bacon. The cream cheese didn't distract, it just added a nice creamy element. The ingredients were fresh and of good quality. It was pretty packed so even though it's kind of pricey, a 12" made two meals. The total cost for two 12" sounds was around $37. Expensive but really tasty, so I would treat myself every so often! read more

I hate leaving bad feedback, when things are a bit gray at the time of service. I went to this place on Sunday. They usually close at five on Sundays, but I am sure there are ways to tell customers that you're about to close. I felt like they were more concerned about closing the place than taking care of one last customer who did not know their service hours. Rather than offering their outdoor area, I was told that I had to take my order to go because they're about to close. I ended up eating in less than 15 minutes, and there really was no need to go through that embarrassment in front of the other customers. I don't remember even asking to talk to a manager or anything like that, but I was informed that I was talking to the owner. I guess an appeal to authority is necessary in this all the time. I asked for a beer, and I guess I looked like a slow drinker because I was refused the beer. Next time, I think I will take my business somewhere else. If I was the owner of this place, I would've told the customer and I'm sorry at least. Some thing in the lines of we're really sorry, we're about to close, would you like this order to go? I live by this place and used to frequent the one in South Lake Tahoe almost every weekend. I finally decided to stop in today to see if they were as good as I remembered. I tend to always revert to my old ways and order the same thing in regards to sandwiches. I got the Turkey Bird and it def was as good if not better than I remember. This I a hearty sandwich with tons of turkey, bacon, avocado, and cream cheese. It comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pepperonchinis. The little chick had a taco salad without meat with romaine lettuce and she was happy as a clam. She said it had a fantastic taco flavor. "Amazing" The service was quick and the staff was polite.
