    Fish tempura tacos
    Grethel D.

We had a dinner with our adult daughter. We ordered the toast, tuna for appetizers. We ordered hamburger, tempura tacos, and the fish and chips. The bread for the toast was super fresh however the butter is served cold. Wish that would have been served soft enough to spread. The toast was hot. Tuna was good. Tempura tacos were good but street tacos small. The fish and chips were a substantial size and was very tasty and fresh. My husband's hamburger was ordered with spicy mayo. He said it was ok. The biggest complaint is the host sat a party with three adults and four children (under the age of 5) and a dog directly behind us in the center of the restaurant. The kids were out of control loud and hitting the back of the booth while we tried to finish our dinner. What sense did it make to have a dinner with these kids sitting directly behind us. The restaurant was empty and there was no reason to sit them directly behind us at an empty restaurant.

Came here for the first time and probably the last time due to an issue with other patrons. The table behind us was roughly 4 females and 4 males and a frenchie. The dog was well mannered. Unfortunately the dogs parents didn't think to take the dog out to handle its business so after sitting through an entire Laker game the dog took a dump right where we were all sitting. The stench that followed was disgusting. Now let me preface that I'm a dog mom and love to take my dog out to places. But I also take him out hourly to handle his business. The owners of the dogs didn't apologize and the restaurant didn't either after we said something. Disappointed because I'd have made this a regular spot but not making your guests responsible is a No for me. And let me say this was all in the main dining. Not outside.

Truly delicious Cheddar Biscuits at Beach + Brew in Venice

Like my desire to discover this place sooner, my review is also a bit delayed. But hey...better late than never, right? I dined at Beach & Brew with friends and family after the Bills vs. Rams game in Los Angeles about two months ago. It was recommended by someone in our group who lived nearby with her boyfriend. Beach & Brew operates with a wristband system for self-serve beer and wine, but they also have a solid food menu. The wristband setup felt a little unusual, and to be honest, the ordering process was a bit confusing. We had to provide a credit card upfront, and with such a large group, things got tricky when sorting out the orders. Fortunately, our server Jin Y. was incredibly patient and accommodating, doing her best to manage our lively (and already somewhat intoxicated) crowd. At the recommendation of one of my dining companions, I ordered the cheddar biscuits and I'm so glad I did! They were fantastic. I also got the spicy tuna roll, which was a decent portion and hit the spot. My friend had the burger and seemed pleased with it and the rest of our table ordered a mix of dishes, all of which were well received. Despite the initial confusion with the ordering process, everyone agreed that the food was worth it. If I remember, I'll definitely be back. The food was great, and as much as I enjoyed the tuna roll, I'm looking forward to trying more from the menu next time!

If you're coming to Venice for happy hour, that has a spacious seating area and open window seating as well if you want to be away from the crowd and enjoy your friends/family or date, this is your spot! My fiancé and I went here for the first time and we will definitely be coming back! The appetizers and happy hour bites are packed with flavor, and we will definitely be back for some of the bigger dishes as well. The drinks were also great and the menu caters to everyone from beer and wine drinkers to people who want a mixed drink. I also do appreciate being able to pour your own drinks on tap for beer, wine and some seltzers! Gong also deserves a huge shoutout because his service was so quick, and very helpful when we asked questions. He deserves a lot of credit for his hard work and we will for sure be back more because of it included with everything else amazing about this spot!

Leslie (I think her name is, gothic looking girl) ,Kieth, and G (gitano) are all favorites on the block. Leslie definitely makes a great espresso martini with fresh espresso and she's very friendly . Food is decent as well.

The Happy Hour and the bartender are Carpaccio and crispy tuna both $8 and spicy margarita for $10 - all high quality, very impressive for a spot I stumbled onto near the hotel- dinner and fab cocktail for under $30- I'll be here all week

At first you walk in and you think it might be a sports bar, with the basketball game on the projector and large TV's. I wasn't interested in the game, but was intrigued by the beer wall. You get a wristband and get to try as many beers and wines as you'd like, paying by the ounce (fair pricing). Next we ordered food and I have NEVER had such a yummy jalapeño popper - it was filled with spicy tuna with the cream cheese filling. Then live music started and the ambience changed, with a delightful calmer and laid back atmosphere. Will definitely be returning for the vibes and delicious food!

Came here on Thursday night for date night, specifically for the experience of pouring our own beers and it was so much fun! They give you an armband to wear, and then you can sample/drink to your heart's content. It was a really fun experience and we enjoyed having so many options to try! The food was also great - we loved the fresh chips and guac, as well as the wings. I'd 100% get the chips and guac again, but the portions for the wings was just a smidge smaller than we would've ideally liked. I think they have a weekday happy hour as well, so definitely worth checking it out!

We tried Beach & Brew for a Saturday brunch based on our daughter-in-law's recommendation. Underwhelmed. This is essentially a sports bar with an impressive beer wall. The Brunch Menu was rather pedestrian -- nothing really exciting. We ordered a Breakfast Burrito (3/5 $20), which was smaller than expected but tasty, and Avocado Toast (4/5 $16) with an egg (+$8) . Service was slow and inattentive -- coffee cups sat empty for most of brunch. With less than a third of the tables occupied, the place was loud ... hate to hear it when full.

What a fun establishment! We loved meeting up here for a girls catch up/happy hour! Their happy hour menu is AMAZING! We loved the crispy tuna, tuna sashimi, French fries, spicy garlic edamame, and crispy chicken! The cheddar biscuits are DIVINE! The drinks were delicious and the ambiance was perfection! A definite opposite of what this place used to be.. a pretty old Japanese restaurant with oddly no windows! If you're a local like myself you'll be presently surprised with this uplifting open concept bar restaurant. Awesome service too! Our sever was amazing, as was the entire waitstaff. We will definitely be back, and you should most definitely give it a try too! Plenty of street parking, FYI! Cheers to good vibes, rolling drinks and decadent food! How could you go wrong?!

It was such a fun and unique experience dining here! What got our attention was the beer wall where you get a wrist band and can choose your own beers from the wall. The food here ended up being delicious as well. The fried chicken was much better than expected and the sourdough was fantastic! They had live music at the time we were there too. Overall it was a great experience, if I lived closer I would stop by here often.

Wonderful brunch spot! Food was hearty and delicious. The drinks were smooth. The staff was friendly. This is a great spot to stop by to watch the game with TVs and projector screens. Calming and inviting environment. Family friendly Good for parties of 1-6 They can host larger parties. Highly recommend.

The energy was relaxed, the location couldn't be better, and the menu? Full of pleasant surprises. I ordered the vegan tacos, and they were everything. Fresh, flavorful, well-balanced -- the kind of meal that makes you feel light but full in the best way. You can tell they care about quality here, not just checking a plant-based box. The service was friendly, and the space felt calm and intentional. This was one of those unexpected finds that I'll absolutely be coming back to. If you're near Venice or Marina and want something vegan without sacrificing vibes -- this is it.

It was these 'onion rings' only, no bodies/tentacles. The dish hit the table with a plastic ramekin of cocktail sauce, no sweet chili. The food runner had no idea what we were talking about when we pointed that out but said "sure I'll bring you more sauce." Which made us feel like we were asking for something "extra". We ordered 2 poke bowls with tuna. The tuna was high quality, but the rest of the dish fell apart. First - who uses long grain rice in a poke bowl? It's sushi rice or nothing. It was a bizarre choice and the rice was undercooked to make it worse. Second - once again, it came out unseasoned and without any sauces whatsoever. Your menu states it has ponzu, chili oil, and bang bang sauce on it. When we asked our server for some sauces because it was absolutely bland, we were brought soy sauce and chimichurri sauce (!?!?!?) So your kitchen needs an overhaul on its dishes and your service staff desperately needs to be retrained on how your dishes are presented - they never should've hit the table like that. The ambience is nice but a bit gritty and weathered. The host and serving staff were pleasant and quickly took care of our requests, but they felt like they shouldn't have needed to be requests in the first place if the dishes had just been executed correctly.
