This restaurant is inside the Marriott. Parking is across the street or valet parking at the hotel. We ate here twice once for breakfast once for dinner. The food both times was very good. Breakfast service was very slow, dinner service was very friendly and helpful and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxing. There's a nice fireplace outside the window where we were sitting, if you're looking for a good meal, I would highly recommend the salmon for dinner or the egg white frittata for breakfast.

Lovely restaurant inside of the Marriott. First night- We ordered the salmon with forbidden rice, along with sautéed mushrooms, spinach and fresh asparagus. We also had the Cobb salad. Both dishes were beautifully prepared and tasted fantastic. ---- Second night- We ordered the fish and chips along with a market salad to split three ways. Everything was delicious and fresh tasting with a nice presentation. Look forward to another dining experience here in the future!

Heirloom tomatoes, Burrata cheese & Arugula drizzled with balsamic sauce

Absolutely loved this lounge! I stayed at the Marina Del Rey Marriott in early March for a business trip and had dinner here with my coworker and friend on our last night. We ate at the bar and had a great time chatting with some other folks that were sitting there and as well as the bartenders who served us. The service was top notch as well as the food. What we ordered to share: Charcuterie board -- assorted cheeses, bread, strawberries and a fig spread Garlic Prawn Tagliatelle- delicious pasta with garlic prawns, parmesan cheese & evvo Salmon Bowl with asparagus, black rice in a sesame ginger miso sauce - this was the star of the show. Our new friend sitting next to us recommended it and said that she had been here for three nights and had gotten it each night. We both loved it - it was so delicious . One of the best salmon dishes I've ever had. I wish I could have it again and I most certainly will if it's still on the menu if I ever go back! Highly recommend. Heirloom tomatoes with burrata cheese and arugula with balsamic drizzle - another stellar dish, I love heirloom tomatoes and burrata cheese is always amazing! Great combo with the arugula and drizzle. I really enjoyed our dinner and the service. By the end of the meal the 2 bartenders called us by name and were inspired by what we ordered to get it themselves when it was time for them to eat their own dinner! This lounge along with the hotel Is great, treats their customers well and is on my list of places I want to return too.

Bland and unimpressive

The lounge is definitely a romantic place to have lunch or dinner, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. We had the seared hamachi and the ceviche, and both were incredibly underwhelming. The amount of ceviche you get for $12 is very small, and it includes cucumber pieces, halved cherry tomatos, and pieces of fish. Taste-wise, it's lemony/limey but still bland. The seared hamachi was bland as well, and I know you can't expect sashimi to be flavorful, but it seemed their cut of fish just wasn't up to par. Overall, the experience was pretty disappointing, but at least it's free 2 hours parking with validation?

Awesome with some draw backs Let's get into this. The place is fantastic with a great view. Open and serving drinks and food on top of the hotel one cold not ask for better or so we thought. It's by no means a deal braked but must be noted. Happy hour is more like how can we still up charge drinks hour. The only complaint is that the happy hour prices are a joke being only about 3 bucks less then the premium drinks of food. Aside from that the place is clean and well lite. The staff is fantastic calling you by name and always right there when you need something. If I owned a business like this they are the guys I want for my staff. Very respectfully, and friendly, as well as attentive. I would definitely come back if nothing else to be waited on by their staff. All said and done it was a great experience for a roof top bar. Come check it out and I definitely do recommend it! One more thing to note:::: they made our night with a free drink for our anniversary thank you so much!

Sometimes good service; night service nicer; sometimes not so much. Don't piss off the manager; rude at moments. Food is ok.

Energy goes way up with it though. Music is consistently great and the crowd matches it. Mostly a younger, high-energy vibe. If you actually want to enjoy your drinks and maybe chat with the bartenders, show up early. Once it gets going, it's all motion and noise. It's never disappointed us. You kind of know what you're signing up for, and it delivers every time. Ambiance leans classy without feeling vintage. Dim lighting, a touch of rustic, and just enough polish to set the tone without overdoing it. If you're into rooftops,l particularly those that oversee large bodies of water, this cannot be beat. I closed things out with a nice bottle of still water and cuz ordered a few alcoholic drinks. And while we just happened to pop in without a reservation, there was ample room to stand around the perimeter of the flowery garden like thing in the middle. Even when this location was previously known as the High Lounge, or High Lounge Rooftop, they would often feature DJs particularly when the weather was great outside. You would think with the Coachella music festival going on that there would have been ample seats and tons of space to move around, but that was not the case. This place was pretty packed! All in all, another solid outing at this particular rooftop. What staff they did have seem to be buzzing around like super busy bees, tending mostly to those seated with reservation, which is understandable. Without being seated via reservation you'll have to head straight to the bar, minimizing any significant interaction with the staff as a whole, except of course the bartender himself. I would place this rooftop in a top five with regards to So Cal rooftops, and #1 if water is your thing.

Food was fresh and delicious. Greek fries could have been crunchier, but were seasoned well. Watermelon salad was fresh and delightful. The asparagus was bland. Everything in the appetizer size. The service was friendly and attentive. I called to reserve a booth with view towards the water. She couldn't promise me one. When I was there, there were reserved signs on those tables. Kids had to sit on high chairs on a high table...

The chairs were super uncomfortable especially if you are hanging around to listen to music and have a few drinks. It was quite dark inside and the tv screens had strange videos playing. No strong desire I enjoyed the vibes of the place, but the live music was a little too loud to have a comfortable conversation. However, I believe that having a comfortable conversation at a bar with live music is a contradiction, so no points lost there. My main issues with The Washington are as follows: 1) expensive 2) poor drink selection. These two issues are not independent as I am ok paying ~$20 a drink only if the cocktails are going above and beyond in some sort of way. For example, the drink has some sort of complicated syrups or uses some sort of unconventional technique that I would not want to replicate at home. However, you cannot really find creative cocktails here. And, on top of that, I also find a lackluster selection of drinks. I'm not entirely sure why there isn't more gin/vodka cocktail selection (I am well aware that they can make standard bar drinks that are not explicitly listed, but I am critiquing the lack of 'original drinks').

The structure is brick, formerly some factory. The exposed brick walls contrast with the eco-friendly bamboo flooring. Speakers and video screens are strategically placed along the walls. There is a foyer when you walk in that has a bar and functions well as a work station for caterers. The large lounge room has extremely comfortable, plush sofas and chairs. For events such as a live script read of a play, they put up rows of folding chairs so the room can seat about 100 or 150 people. This entertainment space is very mellow and quiet as a church mouse. All the hustle and bustle of Abbey Kinney seems miles away. Valet parking was a welcome surprise as street parking is at a premium. On the wall is a Microsoft Surface Hub, a seven or eight foot wide Surface computer. Very few were made and it must be some sort of prototype. Very cool to play with. The front of the property has an outdoor patio which gets decked out with tables, chairs, and a bar when a function is held there. There are other spaces in the building, which I assume are Microsoft Corporate offices. I had fun both times I visited the Microsoft Lounge.
