We rediscovered the bbq here after 10 years and it is still so nice! The beef brisket melts in your mouth. It helps that they are tied to the Chelan Winery so you can have a nice wine to go along with it. The complimentary corn bread is very yummy and such a nice bonus during this crazy time of inflation. It's such a great place to bring family with kids of all ages. The evenings they have live bands is super fun cuz there is dancing. Service is nice. If you visit lake chelan in the summer, you HAVE to do bbq in the vineyard for dinner! This is located in the same building (but behind/outdoors) at lake chelan winery. There is a cute picnic area with tables near the vines where you order and can sit and eat. It fills up quickly and they only serve until they run out! The different bbq family dinner options are great... we fed 5 adults and 4 kids with a #2 plus an extra order of ribs. They have beer on tap in addition to lake chelan winery wines, plus a soda fountain. They also offer unlimited cornbread, which came in handy feeding a large group of people! Unbelievably underwhelming. We ordered, sat down and our food was in front of us in LESS than 4 min. Immediately this was a red flag. My teriyaki chicken burger very small, bland and rubbery. No flavor. Hubby's brisket was 100% dry and flavorless. The Mac and cheese (doesn't come with the brisket, So to be clear, if you order brisket, you literally just get slices of brisket for $15. This would be a 5 star if they could get food out quicker/plan accordingly for holiday weekends. We stood in line for OVER an hour and watched while they ran out of food we wanted. By then we were starving and committed. We have been patronizing for 20+ years and have never experienced this here before. We will eventually come back..but after a 90 minute wait to ORDER + 50 minute wait for food we will plan accordingly and only come between 4 & 4:30. Word to the wise...ONLY come right when they open or expect a 60-90 minute line to order and not even get what u want. We've literally eaten 50 pieces of the free corn bread and honey...we'll see if/ when food actually arrives Food: pulled pork sandwiches and teriyaki chicken were room temp. Thankfully the rest of the food was hot. Beans- literally my fave baked beans anywhere USUALLY, but tonight came like a thin soup...I think perhaps they ran out and we received tomorrow's beans that we're supposed to work up into a thicker base. The ribs were on point! Stopped in on Tuesday night with three friends. Tables far apart for social distancing and love how they have tables in the vineyard. Everyone loved their food although it was a tad pricy it was a experience that everyone liked. I ordered mac and cheese to go and the teriyaki chicken. That was great heated up next day. We went here to celebrate my mother in laws 71st birthday. We started off be going through the gift shop which obviously had a lot of wine stuff in it and we were able to find her a birthday gift. Because if COVID19 we had to have 2 tables which was completely fine. We ordered our dinner and hubby and I decided to order two different things and share our food. We ordered the quarter chicken meal and the Mac & cheese. Temps were over 100 or close to 100. And it was nice sitting outside and with visual pleasing and well kept grounds It made for a nice evening. Dinner didn't take too long to come out. Hubby took the leg part of the chicken and gave me the rest and I split my Mac and cheese with him. The chicken tasted good, it was moist and you could taste the smoke flavor a little and it was good from what I can recall. My tip would be to bring yourself some wet wipes or baby wipes so you don't have to go to the bathroom to wash your hands. The Mac and cheese was nothing special and could use more flavor IMO. Get the wine not the bbq. I don't often leave reviews here but the bbq was so bad i had to write this. Beautiful ambiance, solid wine, GREAT unlimited cornbread, absolutely improperly prepared bbq. Tough and flavorless brisket--an absolute insult to that poor cow. And I'm not just talking about "it wasn't great"--they clearly have no idea what they're doing. I imagine they cook the brisket too hot? It's dry and rubbery which to me indicates they maybe never even get past the stall and are taking it off at 170 or 180 rather than say 200 or so. The people were so so nice and everything clean and socially distanced. It was a beautiful day in the vineyard and hot (as Chelan is in the summer). We ordered Ribs and they were just DRY. I wanted to like them but they were just too dry for me. I ate them anyway because I was determined to have a good birthday. Everything was also amazingly expensive. We did order a good amount of food but it was over $100, which is really a surprise when it's a walk up and order place and only one of us was drinking (beer). Parking wasn't too bad and it looked like we were catching the end of their busier time on a Tuesday. We were sat at a vineyard table and told our server would be out to bring water and grab our order. Two tables sat down around us after we were seated and waiting. 30 mins passes by. We hadn't even been acknowledged by a sever or been brought water. Both tables that had arrived after us had water and had even ordered food already. I went up to let the hostess know we were about to leave as it seemed like we were forgotten. I don't know her name, but this hostess went above and beyond and brought us the waters herself and took our order. Our original server John, finally made an appearance about an hour after we had been seated to ask how things were and let us know that because we were a party of 2, our food could take a while and he would get it to us whenever he could. Cringe. When the food finally arrived, it was really good, and the hostess that picked up the slack and took care of us was great. Have been here several times. Things have devolved. Will need to hear about major changes if I were to come back. Young staff does a great job doing their best but the service overall is absolutely terrible. You wait forever to get in, takes forever for anyone to come to your table, takes even longer to get any food, and not only do they run out of food and tell you this will happen, but early in the evening they will run out of things like forks and cups. To top it off the meat was all cold when we got it, cuts were fatty, and just a really bad experience. Have been here several times and it's gotten consistently worse. I ordered their smoke quarter chicken leg and a side of macaroni and cheese. Smoked quarter chicken- the chicken was "smoked" perfectly. Not over cook, perfect moisture. Notice I typed smoked in parentheses because it lacked having the smoked flavor I'd expect out of a "smoked chicken". Little disappointed there.. Macaroni and cheese- delicious!!!! What a nice surprise! My wife said she wanted to go to a winery and I wanted ribs...voila! However it wasn't just that they hit the mark on those two points. We've always loved visiting wine areas as we are from CA, so the laid back environment of vines, grass, barns, good food and wine and frolicking around is ideal for us even when we have our three kids. Grab a bottle and some good bbq and hit one of the picnic tables in between the vines, in proximity to the bbq hall with country music playing and you'll have a fantastic time here. Oh, and it's only minutes away from the town of Chelan on a super scenic drive along the lake. We will be back as will our local WA fam! read more

The ambiance is solid gold here. Perfect location, shady areas or even eat in the vineyard. Definitely an awesome idea. Love it. The food line is extremely long and extremely slow. Every staff member was beyond pleasant and helpful. The prices are pretty fair for what is on the menu. Except don't bother with the sides. A scoop of plain Mac and cheese for $10 was our biggest ordering mistake. It's not a big menu, but it will do. Now the food. We ordered five different items. The Portabella sandwich was poorly made, lacked taste and just wasn't something I'd ever order again. The tri-tip was ok...not bad but definitely wasn't going to win any bbq contest. The half smoked chicken might be your best bet here. I didn't try it but it looked amazing. The hamburger....well again it just lacked a ton of taste. Would I come back here? Yeah probably. Would I eat here? It might take a couple of bottles to get me there....but then again that's why it's a winery. read more

We had a party of 7 the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. We got there after a full day of fishing on the lake so we were starving. There was a minimum wait shortly after 5pm when they opened. We dined here on a recommendation from someone in our group. The main dining area is outside under a patio style structure right alongside the vineyards. I had the 1/2 chicken and rib combo. The chicken was great and the ribs were ok. It's served with baked beans and coleslaw. There is also a cornbread buffet if you want to partake. The cornbread is amazing. It's as great as everyone raves. Super kid friendly as they have a huge outdoor area the kids can run around in and a lot of toys to play with, while the adults wine taste. The cornbread is buffet and amazing.. especially with the butter and honey. The food was good. Although I really wanted a bbq rib sandwich and wouldn't recommend it because it was mostly sauce. I would suggest sitting away from the grill so that you don't get smoke in your face while eating although they try to be careful about it. Rating is purely based on the BBQ food and staff interaction. The BBQ was honestly really bad. We asked the manager if the ribs were reheated from being cooked a day or two previous after one employee told us the bbq is not freshly made day of and the manager denied that. We went on to tell him it was visibly dry and the taste was even worse. Texture was like beef jerky. The manager did nothing to make our experience better. To pay over $100 for bbq (which is expensive) and for the food quality to be this low with a defensive manager is not expectable. I was pleasantly surprised but not really because I'm smart enough to check yelp reviews before I go somewhere ;-) BBQ in the Vineyard is in the same parking lot as Chelan Winery, it's in the backside of their vineyard. Assuming they're obviously owned by the same people or connected in some way. One thing I will say, if you're looking for a huge variety of food to eat, this is not the place. The menu is tiny, which doesn't bug me, we found stuff to eat. But, just so you know, don't except to find a huge list of items to choice from. We got the pulled pork sandwich, it came with coleslaw and baked beans. Awesome! It was really, really good. They give you a pretty good portion of pulled pork on your sandwich. I was full for quite some time after we left. The layout is really nice. It's a bunch of benches that has covering and there is even seating out in between the grape vines which is pretty nice. My husband and I took a stroll through them when we were done with our meal. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Chelan on vacation. I highly recommend this spot. The barbecue is really good. They have changed the menu at times but kept the staple menu items. They have a kid friendly menu which is nice. I would like them to bring back the streak, the kabobs are so-so. We had a party of 20 and they got us right in. A really nice dinner with family and friend and they allow sharing. Only open for a limited time so make sure you stop by when in the Chelan/Manson area. Kids run free here which I think is cool but if you don't be prepared. read more

Well...we used to really love coming here and enjoying the outdoor dining and BBQ, but alas the times have changed in a big way. The "new" menu, pricing and no service dining concept really makes this a hard place to recommend. Apparently there just aren't servers available to hire, so the solution was to cue people up like a cattle call, have them order and pay for everything ( with default tipping on the charge screen representing waiter/waitress tip percentages??) and also make every side that used to come with a meal an extra ala cart cost. Paying $5 for a little scoop of slaw and a condiment cup size of beans is sad to see. Food was still decent as it's always been, and the venue is nice. Unfortunately the "pivot" smells like a bit of capitalizing on past laurels and loyal diners.
