The Asian Slaw was good, no complaints. Pot Stickers and Veggie Spring Rolls good the plum sauce was very flavorful and the sweet chili sauce was good. Brown rice was also mushy, but it was at least edible. Yakisoba was alright. Asian side salad was... weird. Not exactly sure how to describe it. I knew this place had some serious potential and I was right! Since my first visit and review I have eaten here two more times. They are either reading my review or reading my mind, because my only two main negative points are resolved. Gone are the cheap wood chop sticks which are now replaced with nice metal ones. Also the chicken they are using has gotten way better. It's now thicker, juicy, and just better all around that previously. I've also tried the Yakisoba noodle dish and wow it really rocked my world. Lots of great fresh vegetables like green beans, pea pods, etc mixed in with the noodles. If it's raining out, the chef usuals makes a pot of soup. On a recent visit I got lucky and he had some lime coconut soup he made and it was fantastic! read more

Great spot for locals AND tourists looking for great teriyaki! we got the beef/chicken combo and it was so delicious. the service was wonderful, they had free ice water for customers and they were all very kind. the food itself was kind of a small portion for the price, but i think it was worth it. i liked the beef over the chicken but they were both wonderful. i added a little extra sauce but it's not necessary. they had indoor and outdoor seating but it was hot outside, and there was A/C inside. very cute little place, we were happy to support a local restaurant! would definitely come back here! read more

We've been to this place several times and really like it. It's super clean, the décor is sharp and stylish, the food is very good, portions are large, service is great and the price is right. I had the Teriyaki Chicken, which was fresh, hot, flavorful and lovely. My husband had the Gyoza and said it was great. Several blends of tea offered are a nice extra. The staff there are all quite nice, which really enhances the experience. Each time we've been there, the owner stops by to welcome us and makes sure we're taken care of. Between the food, the price, the atmosphere and the personal service--this place is an easy home run. We'll make it a regular stop whenever we got to Chelan. read more

Depends on what you order! If you are wanting a lighter fair with normal portions this is a nice option. If you want a heavy sauce and sugary meal - this is not going to accomplish the craving. I was impressed that they offer brown rice and a fresh Asian salad, but unfortunately our chicken was really dry and had to be drowned in extra chili + teriyaki sauce for flavour. The owner seemed friendly but our service was awful. Is it traditional or authentic? No. Is it yummy? Ya! This is a small resort town. I've lived all over the country and if I wanted to find the most traditional styles of traditional foods I wouldn't have moved here to find it, but if you can cool your jets and be open minded, you won't be disappointed. We ordered the Gyoza. Was it really Gyoza? No. It was more like an empanada hybrid but it was tasty and that's what matters. Next we had the terIyaki. The beef was high quality and cooked just right. The owner suggested a sauce option and he was right. We enjoyed the food and the cute one way banter between the cook and the owner. It was like The Odd Couple. Borderline weird. Hilarious. Very memorable. We tried the dessert because it's cheap so why not? It was a banana chocolate crunchy thing that satisfied. No reason to complain. If you want wine, just let them offer whatever they have. They offer some variety that isn't listed on the menu and if it's on the menu they may not have it. Too funny. I wish the prices could be a little lower but I know how expensive and difficult it is to operate a business in Chelan so I prepare for this before I decide to dine out. Bottomline: I'm glad for another place to eat in town that is yummy. I'm not much of a teriyaki fan but this place changed my tune! The owners and waitstaff were incredibly friendly. My husband and I had a good time sitting at the counter watching the cooks and chatting with the owners. They serve hot jasmine tea as well as two different kinds of infused water (cucumber or citrus) among many other beverage options. My husband had the Spicy Chicken Breast Yakisoba (4 star spicy) and I had the Orange Chicken Breast Yakisoba. Both were phenomenal. The noodles were tender, the veggies and meat were fresh, and the sauces were incredible. There was something so delicious about the combination of teriyaki sauce and orange sauce! The concept here (teriyaki bistro) is totally workable, but the execution entirely fails. While the front window is etched (OK, decal-ed) with teriyaki, yakisoba, spring rolls, and gyosa (SIC), no gyoza were to be found tonight. Standard chicken was edible but unremarkable. Chicken breast was slightly better. Beef (as part of chicken/beef combo) was chewy, firm, and frozen dinner-esque. Teriyaki sauce was unusual. Left half my meal uneaten, yet server didn't inquire at any point as to how our food was. Speaking of service, overall slow and inattentive. We seated ourselves after asking gentleman cooking if it was OK to do so. Were given menus only after two other tables were seated, then rushed to decide within minutes of menus being delivered. We skipped the slaw which means extra rice. Rice was better than average, but portion size became entirely too much. Otherwise, plate was sparse, stark white, and uninspiring. The $31 bill (for two dinners that included one beer) was the most positive aspect of this experience. read more
