Food is good, but I'm not going to tolerate rudeness from the old man owner. We called ahead for Togo order. When we got there, the food was ready. But the kids were hungry so we told them that we would like to sit down instead and we asked for 3 plates and some napkins. The old man said no, we had to leave. This is his exact word, 'you order Togo, you have to leave' WTF! This was on a Tuesday at 4:15pm, all tables were not being used. We have been eating at this place about once a month for since they opened, but we will not return! read more

Saw the reviews on Yelp and decided to check out this place. Looks new...Nice clean dining area. Clean restroom. Came in around 12:30ish on Saturday. It was empty.. just one family waiting for take out. The server greeted and seated us immediately. She asked if this was our first visit. We replied yes. She mentioned that they were currently offering a lunch special which included 6 boneless pieces of chicken, fries and a drink for $6.99. What a deal! You have your choice of sauces. She explained the different type of sauces. Original golden olive (plain Jane) secret spicy, hot spicy; honey garlic, soy garlic (more savory than sweet) and Gangnam style. We chose the secret spicy and soy garlic. Hubby said the secret spicy was quite hot, but your mouth adapted after a few bites. Personally I thought the garlic in the soy garlic overpowered the chicken. All you could taste was garlic. Maybe the honey would have toned down the garlic flavor. I am more a savory than sweet person which is why I chose the savory garlic. The entrees are served with a side order of pickled daikon. The daikon did help tone down some of the garlic taste. Overall the food was okay, but not impressed. Service was good. But...won't be making a return visit anytime in the near future. read more

BBQ Chicken - Nice and clean dining area - Korean Near Me - Cypress, California

Won't let me order tteokbokki on its own. Other locations allow it and nowhere on the menu does it say you must order chicken with it. It's not even a side? How can you run a business like this. Check your menus. It doesn't say it needs to be ordered with an entree. read more

This place is awesome!! Chicken is on point crispy and delicious. So much flavor with their sauces you must try all flavors to really appreciate the talent read more

Wow, the flavors are amazing! We ordered boneless wings and they were delicious. The fries and the pickled radishes were excellent as well. Can't wait to try everything! We called, placed our order and picked it up in 15 minutes. Very clean with friendly staff. This place is doing it right and will succeed. read more

Pros: Soy garlic wings are so flavorful. Pickled white radish is perfectly sweet, salty, and crunchy. Cons: Wait time for the food is too long, it took almost half an hour for the food to come out. Price is a bit steep, more than a buck for each wing. Ten pieces is the minimum order for each flavor. So, you are stuck with just one flavor, unless you want to buy 20 pieces. read more

Soy Garlic wings are must try! Staffs are friendly and chickens are delicious. Only wish they can have celery sticks as side order then it would be perfect. read more

To preserve brand reputation and at the very least positive marketing, you would think he would reconsider and be the bigger person, acknowledge chargjng for a side item that literally costs 15 cents is not worth getting even one bad review and try to resolve the matter in a positive way. read more

BBQ Chicken - Heres the owners response - Korean Near Me - Cypress, California

I love fried chicken, and this place is amazing! The chicken is fried to order and come to your table HOT and AMAZING! I would recommend the BB wings, it's spicy but not over powering. The gang nam style wing is a flavor bomb that is from another world. If your a fried chicken fan this is one stop that you need to make. read more

I was a little upset about the sizes of these wings they were just very small and pricey. I was so excited and when I opened the box just disappointed me. The taste of it was really good, the preparation for it was good. But I hope they find bigger wings because I would not pay at lease $12+ for 12 wings no sides or no drink. read more

This place is so delicious! The chicken is made fresh to order; meaning the batter and sauces aren't even on the chicken until after the order is made. Then it is cooked. OMG! FRESH so fresh, you will taste the difference!! Even the side dish of radish is amazing. I asked about this because it tasted better than other Korean places, and they said they age the radish in the juices for several days. Everything here I'd meticulously prepared. The decor here is sleek and has huge TVs got sports games. They have an IMPRESSIVE selection of beer! They have on tap: Elysian Space Dust Stella Artois Kloud Bud light Sapporo Hoegaarden (coming soon they say!) Bottle: Hoegaarden 805 Coronado Lagunitas Big Wave Kona Blue moon Heineken Corona And much more!! This place is incredible. I'm so impressed! Their service is also top notch. I can't say enough about this establishment, my goodness!! read more

I eat in and order take out from this place frequently; however, since I started coming here the quality of the chicken wings has really gone down (especially for our take out orders). I may give this place one more try but if things don't improve, I'll be taking my money elsewhere. It's very unfortunate as I really like their food. I may have to do the drive back up to Buena Park location read more

This is our favorite bbq Chicken location. Seems to have the most selection, and the food is always delicious! Corn cheese is so good, broiled and very cheesy. And ddeok-bokki with cheese also the best. Whichever chicken we have is always tasty. Service is always friendly and fast. read more

The family and I order take out from here often. We have only wanted in side a couple of times. It's always been good! The food is fresh & great! Beers on tap! read more

This place is not worth your trouble. They dont care about their quality. Terrible. Ridiculous customer service

Some of the best chicken wings I've ever had, yeah! They're that good. Wings have an outside crispy layer and the inside is soft and tender, I've tried just about all they're flavors, I recommend all! They've got a customer for life, they got me man! read more

Everything was just okay. Been binging kdrama on Netflix during quarantine and saw bbq chicken a few times. Finally decided to try it today and it was such let down. Out of the three locations on yelp it seems that Cypress has the best reviews so I chose to go here even though it's a little farther away. The chicken was soft and barely had batter. There was no crispy on any of the chicken I ordered and the Gangnam style was the worst of the bunch. It was soft, batter-less and flavorless, almost like the baked chicken wing from dominos. It was pretty juicy I can give it that but that's about it. The cheese chicken didn't have much cheese seasoning on it and was almost like a bare chicken nugget compare to the pictures where it looks like it's loaded on like a fresh winter snow. Regardless I want to give the other locations a try before giving the final verdict. read more

Came here on Sat night. Place wasnt too crowded so we got seats right away. I looked at the menu and was surprised to see boneless chicken! We got the 10 piece honey garlic boneless and secret spicy sauce (not really spicy imo). The honey garlic lived up to its hype. Def will be coming again read more

I'm a regular a similar place in the area, so I was exited to compare and perhaps find a new favorite. Spoiler - That didn't happen. Not exactly. bb.q chicken seems to want to be like one of the bigger, chain restaurants for wings. Unfortunately, it doesn't really offer that kind of ambiance; however, it still tries to charger its customers like one. What it lacks in the points above, it tries to make up with made-to-order food. I think they mostly succeed. You get the whole wing. Most placed don't do that. They have good sauces. I tried the soy garlic and it was delicious. They offer up a simple but delicious free cabbage salad starter. There is a good sized ramekin of white raddish to accompany the wings... ...And the best part? The fries. *Insert hyperbole here*. The cut, cook, and seasoning we're all perfect. Never had a better fry of that variety. The chicken. Ohhhhh how disappointed I was to follow up a perfect bite of fries with overcooked chicken. It was tough and dry. I'm sure this was an exception to the rule, but it happened. I'm going to stick with my usual spot. In terms of value, there is no comparison. I'll be back for a second try with some co-workers for a final attempt before moving on. A 3.5 stars. Hopefully it goes up next visit. Side notes: -You can only order 10 or more wings. -You only get one sauce with the order. -There are no lunch combos/specials. -The soda was from the machine was good. -The service was fast and friendly. -You will have to wait 15-25 minutes for your food to made. read more

Surprisingly good. Inwqs just in the are trying to figure out what to get to to eat for my siblings. I tried a good amount of flavors. I might like this place better than Kokio. It felt faster. Staff was nice as well. read more

So disappointed with this place. I thought the 20min to-go wait would be worth it, but the quantity was embarrassing, i maybe 6-7 wings when I paid for 10. They were literally deep fried rubber with honey garlic flavor. The service was lousy too. The whole vibe sucked. I'll never be back and recommend going somewhere else. I never post on Yelp but this experience was so bad, I feel like I had to. Good luck! read more

Awesome wings and awesome service. We were served by Andy. Wings perfect size crispy until the end of the night.

I dont know about the service since we always order to go, but it's always good! Became our favorite chicken place. We have tried pelicana koko kokio and other k chicken places but this bbq chicken IN CYPRESS is the best. I cant speak for buena park or other locations since many franchise resto, sadly, taste different depending on the store. read more

My friend introduced me to this place and all I can say is it's the best wings I had. I have been back several times and I'm back with my kids. Love the BB wings. Wings were crispy and not oily. I also enjoyed the cabbage salad they give you and the radish. Definitely will come back. read more

I saw on their website that they close at 12:00 am. I callled at 11:30 pm and no one answered. I drove to the business at 11:37 Pm and no one was there. So I waited about a week and called in an order at 1030 pm. I ordered the boneless chicken hot. I went in the establishment and picked up my chicken. I got home opened it up and ate it. The flavor was cool not great or bad. The chicken on a scale of 1-10 was a 6.75. The price they are charging is way too much. I should have went to wing stop and got better chicken for less. FYI they use chicken thighs instead of breast. read more

As a man of Korean genes myself, I have been to a lot of different Korean chicken spots. However, there is no better option than BBQ chicken located in Cypress, CA. All of the flavors for the chicken is amazing and their crispiness tops everything off. Great customer service is an essential for a good business and Andy, the owner, always manages to provide with the up most service. When in doubt, hit up BBQ chicken for a great food spot. read more
