I contacted 4 roofers and had mixed success in getting either an estimate or even someone to come out and look. I guess everyone is busy these days... Two of the roofers who came out didn't seem very confident as to what might be causing the leak. Both of them said they didn't repair/replace soffits. That was a non-starter for me. When Premium Solutions Exteriors came out to evaluate the situation, their representative (Rafael) immediately diagnosed the problem and also said he'd replace the 3 soffit boards that were now water stained and warped. I hired them because of how knowledgeable and confident Rafael was. He told me which date he'd be out and said I didn't even need to be home. They showed up as scheduled, did the work on the roof (which entailed replacing about 50 shingles on the roof as well as the starter shingles at the edge). They came back a few days later and replaced the damaged soffits and facia board. Clean up was impeccable. Today was one of the hardest rains we've had in a long time. I feel a moral obligation to write this review, given the stellar reviews…read more I waited a bit to review, because I wanted to make sure I had as much information as possible before writing it. I hired the team to hang and tape/mud about 1000 sqft of drywall. I had a number of quotes, and Solution DryTex was one of the higher ones, but still within reason. I went with them because of their responsiveness and friendliness. I fired them part way through the work. I had six other drywall companies out to inspect their work - all six said it was unacceptably poor - four of them said to tear it out and start over. As they started hanging, they were doing an alright job, though slightly messier than I would've liked. As they continued, they did a few things that were absolutely unacceptable: - Extensive over-driven screws, which means the drywall will not hold well - Breaks in drywall not directly over a stud/joist, which means the drywall will flex and crack - Extremely poor shimming, meaning the drywall will be crooked - Random pieces of trash sitting behind drywall, meaning the drywall wasn't sitting level - Unnecessary breaks in drywall, which will cause more visual imperfections. - Completely crooked pieces that won't be able to made to look good, no matter the amount of mud I brought up some of these concerns, and they attempted to fix them. The fixes were wholly inadequate. Before I had a chance to circle back with regards to those fixes, they begun taping. After I saw their taping work, I promptly fired them. The taping work contained a number of major problems: - Prefill huge gaps using premixed mud, which will take weeks to dry (if ever) - Mud all over my brand new windows - Bubbled tape that won't be able to be hidden - Globs of mud used to fill an inch wide gap - Corner beads with large curves in them I messaged them repeatedly, telling them they needed to return my money, given the fact that I was going to have to redo all of their work, and they wasted thousands of dollars in material. I received no responses. The team is very nice - they're a pleasure to be around. But no amount of kindness makes up for the fact that they have no idea what they're doing. I don't feel particularly good about leaving this review, but I think it's the right thing to do - I don't want them to take advantage of others like they took advantage of me. EDIT: In response to the owner: Scope of work: Correct, the work was interrupted before it was finished. This was after trying to get poor work corrected. I have also verified with six independent teams that the quality of the work was not such that it could be made to look good and last. Site conditions: Regarding framing, the team came out ahead of the project and spent quite a while measuring. If the framing was not acceptable, then that would've been the time to say so. Client collaboration: Now you're just being strictly dishonest, because moving the cabinets was explicitly included in the agreement. And you used _one_ sheet of drywall, mostly because you used the 1/2 drywall in the wrong places and needed to make up for that fact. Quality of work and adjustments: The work was so far from professional that it could not be adequately adjusted. I have verified this with SIX different companies, to make sure I'm being reasonable in my assessment. Track record: I can't speak to this. All I know is my experience.

Cesar came out within a day or two on a Friday, looked at the ceiling, literally counted how many drywall sheets he would need and gave me an estimate that was a really great deal. He told me that he could start Monday. I was ecstatic that he'd be doing the work so quickly. I spent the weekend replacing the lighting, since it was the last time I'd have access to it, and when Cesar and his team member showed up, I had wanted to take out an awkward closet and open up the room more. They both ended up helping me remove the closet, which increases the scope of the project by a little. Cesar ended up drywalling the sides of the closets that were left, and did an amazing job on the ceiling. He also decided to refund me $150 for two roof vents. Based on my research, basic vent installation would cost $300-$650 including labor and materials. So two vents would be around $600-$1300. I was trying to negotiate with him but he only agreed to pay up to $150. Lesson learned: you should request to get quote in detail of each work instead of just knowing about total cost of everything. Regarding to the fascia boards color, he explained that Lowes or Home Depot does carry white boards but doesn't have the right size so he ended up buying boards from another supplier which had right size but wrong color ORIGINAL: DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They ripped me off. Hugo who I believe is the owner seemed to be nice and knowledgeable when we had an initial consultation. The bid was not the cheapest but I still hired them to do the job because I thought that the higher price is, the more professional they are. I'm truly wrong. First of all, they installed new fascia boards for my roof. The old boards were dark navy color. The new boards are in nature wood which make my house even look worse than before. They claimed that they don't offer painting. But they should have bought those boards primed in white instead of cheap looking bare wood. Now I'm struggling and I don't know how do I paint those boards myself since they are in two stories house. Painting contractor doesn't want to take small jobs either! Second, they removed our original drain pipe without our permission and did not put it back. When heavy rain, water is dripping all over the roof fascia boards which definitely causes our new fascia boards get rotten faster. Third, they charged me for two roof vents installation for "better ventilation" but they DID NOT INSTALL THEM. My husband and I kept calling and texting Hugo multiple times for refunding the cost of two vents (approximately $1000 for both labor and materials) but he never answered our phone. Finally, I am not sure how long will my new roof lasts since they are not professional, irresponsible, unreliable, and unresponsive. They said its lifetime is 25 years but based on their professionalism, I guess it might last for 10 years or under. Last but not least, I'm thinking of filing a court claim against this company. Homeowners, PLEASE STAY AWAY from this business if you don't want to get ripped off like me.

I have a complicated roof with built-in rain gutters with a very large brick fireplace flashing…read more I just couldn't afford to have my old roof replaced so I have been calling Roof Time, and Jesus has been repairing my roof for the past two years. This year I finally budgeted for a new roof and call Roof Time for a bid to replace my roof with a PVC membrane material. I have been involved with construction all of my life so I knew the bid Hugo gave me was a fair and reasonable price. Roof Time started the job about 3 weeks after we agreed to the price. On day one they removed and hauled away my old roofing material, installed new sheathing and water barrier material. My neighbors and I was very pleased to see they clean and haul out the derby every day. On day two they installed an insulation material, and mechanical installed the PVC membrane roofing. PVC roofing typically is used on flat top commercial roofs and requires special tools and special skills to install on a residential dwelling. Jesus and Hugo paid very close attention to ensure they sealed each seam. On day three they installed all new roof venting, and resealed and installed new flashing around the chimney and around the fascia. Bottom line I could not be more pleased for the quality of work and professionalism with both Jesus and Hugo. I have referred Roof Time to a Co-worker and he is also very pleased with Roof Time quality of work for his roof as well.
