What really impressed me, however, was the quality of the work and the level of professionalism throughout the project. Communication was excellent from start to finish. Haven was always easy to reach, responded promptly to questions, and provided clear scheduling expectations as the project approached. Once work began, he proactively kept me informed on a day-by-day basis so I could move vehicles, keep my indoor cats secure, and know exactly what to expect. His focus was clearly on doing the job right rather than simply doing the minimum required. During the project, he replaced damaged boards and shingles and even upgraded the trim paint--all without increasing the original bid price. He also took the time to stop and answer my questions whenever I had them. One unexpected benefit was that he discovered an ant nest hidden inside my siding, something that has been an ongoing issue for us. Eduardo is a genius with drywall, but has many other skills and installed baseboards, replaced a countertop in a small second kitchen, installed a new vanity, and other tasks. AKM does everything with great attention to keeping nearby spaces taped off or covered for protection, and neatens things up at the end of each day. I would use them for any project and recommend them to everyone!

ERC game me a simple and very competitive all inclusive price. And they were able to start the project the following week! I ended up picking the higher grade paint and they only charged me the cost difference of what they had quoted. Other contractors had a much higher markup. They pressure washed my exterior and came back a few days later to start the job. They were so quick and thorough. Cleaning up some old caulking and fixing some damaged trim. They even sanded and refinished my cedar soffits. The quality was fantastic. While they were out, my neighbor was impressed and asked for a quote as well. Used him again for a different kind of job - replacing an in-wall air-conditioner. He was very good…read moreat responding to text messages, worked us in quickly, and was flexible when Home Depot delayed our order. He was also very good at fitting the new AC into the space for the old one and ensuring it was sealed and weather proofed. However, when he finished the work, he left large boxes and packing materials scattered where he opened them and filling our kitchen floor and on the dining room table. He didn't do anything to organize the mess or break down the boxes. He said most of it was recyclable and he wouldn't do anything with it. Left us to clean up after he left and figure out how to manage and get rid of these large heavy boxes. Additionally, he had put the old AC on our deck. We asked if he would recycle the old AC and he agreed - charging us an additional $200 to take it. When he put it on our deck, it left piles of black (not sure what) that we had to clean after he left. Additionally, I had purchased a new bracket to support the new air-conditioner. He decided without consulting me to use the old bracket instead. (Hopefully it last for the long run!)
