*TO-GO ORDER 7/24/26* First time trying this location and I had an okay experience. It has been awhile since I had bb.q chicken, but I feel like the Cupertino and North SJ locations taste better. This location reminded me of the Sunnyvale franchise which was so-so. Maybe because I got to-go, I felt that my wings were not that crispy. But I don't think to-go was the issue-- it was the way they were fried. Plus, I live 15 minutes away so it couldn't have gotten soggy fast. I don't think the chicken was fried enough because my wings didn't get the caramelization that makes korean fried chicken CRISPY. For instance, the soy garlic straight up tasted like soy sauce, nothing else. I also got hot spicy, which had a nice spice, but I also didn't like how sweet it was. However, I'm used to korean spicy being sweet. Interestingly, the same night I reheated the wings in the airfryer and it tasted better?? It was crispy and the caramelization shined through, making the soy garlic sweet yet savory. At this point, it had been six hours since I ordered and I was surprised that they tasted better after reheating. Additionally, I received two other items as part of the Couple Deal which totaled to be $60~ The first item I got was kimchi fried rice and this was a miss. It didn't have a lot of kimchi flavor, sorta dry, and wasn't really savory. I'm used to restaurant style kimchi fried rice where they use pork belly, but chicken was used here. Pork belly actually adds more flavor, but this is a chicken joint, so it made sense why the protein wasn't pork. The chicken was soft though. The second item received was sweet potatoes fries which were $1 extra as compared to regular fries. The only problem I had with the fries was the powdered sugar?!? This was very unnecessary... it doesn't make sense to add sugar to "sweet" potatoes? There was no description for this, I wished I got regular fries instead. Got the cheesling wings (best wings ever btw!) and the wings of fire (good heat!) and they were both so yummy! Very good pickled radishes as well! The service was super nice! It was very empty when I went at 8:45, which is nice. I did leave around 9:32 instead of 9:30...gulp! But they didn't say anything about that which was nice! (So sorry to the staff! They even said thank you on my way out so nice) the chicken does take a while to prepare though, so not something you should get while in a rush (15 min?) The ambience is fine. Chicken is still solid here, though they forgot to cook the second batch of my order and I had to wait until my order got cold over the weekend. However, every time I come here, they either don't give me the radish or try to charge me for it. They say it's because of management. Every Korean or someone who eats Korean fried chicken knows the pickled radish go hand in hand. I have never been to a Korean fried chicken establishment that does not give complimentary radish with the order. I ordered a family combo meal which is 24 pieces of chicken and was told management does not give any radish with this order. That is just ridiculous. Maybe it's just my phone. I dunno. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ * Their fries are phenomenal! Perfectly fried, salted, and a great texture. I could eat a bucket of them! * Their fried chicken is fantastic! So crispy, and they're not shy with the sauce without it being overly so. * Tons of flavor, from original to sour spicy and everything in between like sweet and salty, sweet heat, and umami bombs like the soy garlic. The Meh: * The location is very small but does have a few tables for eating inside. * No outdoor dining * And, speaking of the app, this location is still too new and won't show up on the app to order from. * i didn't find their spicy all that spicy but that's subjective. Yay! Finally a location closer to me! It is in a small plaza but I wad still able to find parking. They have a couple of tables for dine-in but not as big as other locations. The chicken at this location is the juiciest, crispiest and plumpest! The owners (i assume) are very friendly. I just wished their spicy original was a little spicier but otherwise delicious!! They had combos going on but wasn't sure if it's for a limited time. It comes with chicken, tteokbokki and fries. Dangerous that it's so close but will definitely be back often. read more

The lady at the register was no help. We asked her a question while pointing at the menu, and she told us to use the self-service screen instead. Customer service was a 1/10. The Honey Garlic was the only flavor I enjoyed, and I'd give it an 8/10. The rest of the food was okay, but nothing special. This is the best Korean fried chicken I have had outside Seoul. I have spent many days in Seoul, and I've eaten a lot of fried chicken there. The chickens tend to be a little smaller than what we have in the US, a bit juicier, and of course they are cooked much better than comparably priced American fried chicken. So far, all the Korean fried chicken I have had in the US has been a let down. It's either too greasy, not sauced properly, too dry... just not as good. bb.q is the first place that actually nails those things. I had the cheeseling wings, the honey soy boneless pieces, and the original boneless. Not by myself! But I did try all 3. Cheeseling is my favorite, especially with the sweetened ranch sauce they have in Korea. The powdery texture and the tart-cheesy-sweet flavor accent the chicken perfect, and it works here too. One tip though - the extra cost "cheeseling sauce" is just more of the powder. I mistakenly thought it was the sweet ranch sauce. But it's okay, we used the powder on all the other types of chicken and it really goes well with everything. The chicken itself was so juicy, and cooked perfectly. The wings are also pretty big and meaty, which is nice. The honey soy chicken was also very tasty. Still crunchy with a good amount of sauce without it being gloppy. Sprinkled with cheeseling powder was even better. Original was, as you'd expect, a bit bland compared to the others. Oddly some in my group found the black pepper flavor to make it spicy, which I disagree with but I guess is possible if you're extremely sensitive to heat. Inside it's small and there was a single person handling the ordering. We had to sit at a table with crumbs on it as well as the seats because the one worker couldn't handle dealing with the line and keeping the dining room clean. Not a huge deal but obviously nobody wants to sit on someone else's crumbs. It's also quite small inside and gets direct sunlight in the afternoon, so you might want to avoid sitting inside facing the windows without a hat or sunglasses. It also felt like their AC wasn't quite up to the job. Regarding pricing, this place is not cheap. An 8-piece boneless meal is around $20 with tax, and that is the smallest size the offer of just chicken. And unlike in Korea, you don't get anything free with that (radish or drinks or sauce or what have you). This is probably my single biggest complaint - you have to order a pretty big amount of chicken in a single flavor. Ordering can be done with the worker, but the kiosk is easier and the menu really isn't that big so I'd just do that and let some cleaning happen. The immediate parking lot is kind of small, but you can park outside that in the much larger parking lot and it's a short walk. Overall, if you want to actually get a taste of what fried chicken in Korea is like, so far this is the only place in the South Bay that's on that level. read more

This is my go-to spot whenever I'm craving Korean BBQ chicken. They just opened recently and they're close to my workplace, so it's super convenient. The food has been consistently delicious every time I've ordered, and the quality is always on point. Definitely 3 stars for the food! The only reason I'm taking off 2 star is because of the service. I came back yesterday (06/15) and placed an order through DoorDash. I stopped by to pick it up around 7:10 PM. The girl at the front was extremely rude. When I walked in, she didn't greet me or even acknowledge me. After I told her the name on my order, she just put the food on the counter with a cold expression, made no eye contact, and immediately turned her back and walked away without saying a word. I was the one who tried to thank her, but she kept facing the back window. It wasn't until I said "thank you" a second time that she finally responded, and even then it sounded forced and emotionless. Honestly, I felt disappointed and disrespected. It made me wonder if I had done something wrong, or if she assumed I was a DoorDash driver and looked down on me. If that's the case, that's not okay. Everyone deserves to be treated with basic respect, regardless of who they are.
