We stopped here on a whim. I was not expected much since it was late in the evening. We typically don't go inside and order when the closing time is in an hour or so, to us that's rude. Well that was wasn't the truth here. Since it was our first time the server went over everything let us try. Any sauces that we wanted. And let me tell you when the food came out. It was piping hot and fresh. And it wasn't a little portion, it was shareable beyond means. The chicken was so hot and juicy, and the breading was nice and crispy. And the sauces that we chose just complemented the chicken that much more. The whole place was nice and clean, and the server was super friendly and super helpful. But it being so late when we stopped in, 10pm'ish I was surprised at how many people were still coming in to get food. And everything was made to order super impressed. My friends and I have been coming here for awhile now. The Korean fried chicken here is so amazing and juicy. The flavors are phenomenal, and the vibe of the place is very nice and clean. I love the K-pop music they play and have the music videos on the TVs. It is one of our favorite spots. The only issue is the service is not always that amazing, we were just there and the server did not check on us much and I sat there with an empty water for a long time. Haven't had bb.q Chicken since I lived in Irvine CA. Got the 16 Spicy Chicken wings for about $29 as a takeout. Got it home and shared it with my wife and daughter. Chicken wings were good, just not enough spicy to it but enough to taste. Everyone liked the wings. Not overly fried and meat was moist inside. Crust was good. For now, I got enough for lunch here and supper at home. 8 Gangnam style wings, and 8 Caribbean boneless pieces, plus their new so ddeok so ddeok, essentially tteokbaki and sausage grilled on a skewer, with a little sauce. I ate one of those skewers at the restaurant. Very good, tempted to eat the other, but saved it and saved room for lunch. The boneless pieces are big and crispy and so so tasty. White and dark meat, which I love, but if you're expecting just chicken breast be advised. Tender, moist, crunchy on the outside, just excellent. The Caribbean sauce is flavorful with just a tiny hint of heat. The gangnam is also just a tiny bit zippy, with maybe more black pepper. Both sauces were great. And the wing are meaty, juicy, and again crispy on the outside. I know they won't be as crispy at home, but that was the plan, to have more for later. I'll live. The car smelled great on the way home. I will definitely be back, for other flavors, bulgogi, and more. Price? About $40, for two filling tasty savory meals. Service was excellent. I have been wanting to try this place for sometime now. Started out with the Fried dumplings. An order is 8 pieces which is great and the dipping sauce was a was hit. The wings I went with the secret sauce had a very lite heat but also a little sweet. They were so good that I didn't want t share. Lastly was the Kimchi fried rice, this was a huge amount of food definitely shareable. I have tried Kimchi rice at other place this was definitely better. I drove past one day and seen this place and thought it would've been good place to try! So Sunday my fiancé and I was hungry so he wanted some chicken and we are trying new places and new things so we came here. He has never tried Korean food before so I told him he was in for a treat. The place is really nice. First thing I thought when I walked in was it looks like a sports bar there TV monitors on every wall that was playing K-pop. There are high tables booths in regular tables and then there was a bar. The menu is displayed on the TV monitors behind the bar and we were seated as soon as we entered the establishment. Our waiter was very young, but she was super sweet and nice. There was a little bit of a language barrier. We ordered wing dings (mostly flats) they can't do all flats which is a bummer! And we wanted whole wings! We tried the kimchi with rice and chicken and french fries. We taste tested four sauces! The Caribbean was nasty. We tried honey garlic, which was delicious. We tried the fire, which was good and I can't remember the last sauce. The chicken comes toss in the different sauces that you choose, but we asked to have the sauce on the side. The fries came out first and they don't tell you it's considered an appetizer. They was fresh hot and delicious but a little over cooked! We had to ask for ketchup and salt. Then my wings came out with no sauce. Then 20 mins later him food came out and it was wrong. We asked for whole wings and she gave up 50/50 whole chicken! We said this isnt what we ordered and she whispered she can't take it back. We asked "why she said "she just can't take it back" we looked confused! She walked away and we just asked for the check and containers and left! WE WILL NOT BE BACK! I was really sad to hear that Meshikou Chikin had closed, but after visiting bb.q Chicken, I am assured that the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) scene is safe and sound. I went with a group of people on my last visit, and we ordered several different flavors of wings - the Spicy Golden Original, the Wings of Fire, the Hot Mala, and the Spicy Galby. We also ordered the sweet potato fries, the onion rings, and the kimchi fried rice. The chicken wings were huge and tasty, and really not that spicy. Both the fries and onion rings were fresh and generous portion sizes. The star of the show for me was the Kimchi fried rice - it was very flavorful and was a nice accompaniment to the fried chicken. I was expecting a huge, crispy breaded fried chicken sandwich, like any other decent fried chicken restaurant serves, but this sandwich was tiny! It belongs on the kid's menu. Like, this was barely half an inch thick with hardly any breading on it. It was smaller than the bun it was on- didn't even hang out past the bun. Didn't come with any sauce on it, so I tried two different ones. They are located on Bethel Rd, also next to another recently open bubble tea place, Tiger Sugar. This is my first time trying bb.q Chicken and it may raising on my list for Korean Fried Chicken. Their fried chicken offer either wings, boneless or whole chicken. From their sauce line up, there is a couple interesting option, such as Galbi and Cheesling sauce. They also offer some Classics Korean food, like Kimchi Fried Rice and Ddeok-bokki. The Galbi sauce definitely be my favorite. It has a touch of sweetness and smoky flavor. The right ratio of sauce is being coated on each wings. The breading is light, yet super crispy and crunchy. Topped with green onion and sesame seeds. I also got the Ddeok-bokki. I have become a Korean Fried Chicken super snob lately and tried 3 other places in the Columbus area. HANDS DOWN this is the best ever!!! Korean Fried Chicken itself is just addictive...crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, all coated with your favorite sauce. My first experience years ago, I related it to the best General Tso's chicken on a bone. Here's the tricky part. The crispness of the chicken always gives way to the sauce after about 5 minutes. Then it's just delicious fried chicken. NOT HERE! CRUNCHY TILL THE END!! So I ordered a small (8 mixed wings) with the Galbi sauce. It comes with a side of pickled radishes (yum!). I can only describe the Galbi sauce as a sticky sweet smokey Soy Sauce. I wrinkled my fingers licking them so much. I literally just finished the 8th piece of chicken (took about 10 minutes to eat and type this), and it was like I picked the drum out of a box of Corn Flakes. Stupid crunchy still! I'm not exaggerating, this is the only place to come for Korean Fried Chicken (hmmm...KFC...) Ordered wings for takeout and waited at the front on the barstools even though we were told that they would text us when the wings were ready. However, when we hadn't received a text after waiting for 30 minutes, one of the waitresses asked us if we were waiting for an order then found our order on a shelf and handed it to us. Apparently it had been ready but no one attempted to ask us if it was ours even though we were sitting right next to the cash register. We also didn't receive the text that our order was ready until an hour after we had received our chicken... which was not ideal. Flavor-wise, the wings were pretty good. Very crispy, good flavor. Out of the three kinds (soy garlic, spicy galbi, and secret sauce), I would say the secret sauce was my favorite. The soy garlic was my least favorite, but still was ok. We also got the bulgogi poutine, which was pretty good. Overall, would probably come back here again to try other flavors, though CM chicken will likely still be my go-to for fried chicken cravings. I kept others in mind as my toddler isn't big on anything covered in sauce and neither is the misses so I got the GOLDEN ORIGINAL (plain bird) with honey garlic on the side. The side of sauce isn't that big and they charge $1.50 for it. The waitress told me that some not all of the sauces have to be made from scratch as ordered which maybe is a factor in the cost? I feel like if you order plain bird with sauce on the side then it should be free. I was curious about the CHEESELING FLAVOR, and didn't sample it beforehand so decided to get the CHEESELING fries instead. This was a unique tasting curiously DELICIOUS concoction. It's like a cheese powder that's sweet tasting that's dumped all over freshly fried French fries with a special red sauce and scallions. Think of that little corner of the bag of Smartfoods white cheddar popcorn powder at the bottom when you're all done and this is what it's like but sweet. I don't think I would've liked it sprinkled all over my chicken as it would've been overpowering yet good because they sprinkle a LOT on your food. Moreover there's a sort of sorcery and trickery with that CHEESELING powder. I noticed the next day when I went to reheat my CHEESELING fries this powder melts and turns into like a gooey cheese sauce and no longer remains in a powdery form! HARRY POTTER would be proud of this MAGIC! Overall it's a SOLID spot. I recommend trying different sauces and rolling your entire chicken order in that sauce as getting it on the side is slight ripoff because of the upcharge and little container. All the sides were good. Stellar customer service. Spacious with big booths and gloves to not mess up your hands while eating and TV's to boot. Last but not least no one in my group complained about any weird MSG feelings in their stomachs or what not like the OTHER COMPETITOR that's good also but in UPPER ARLINGTON if you catch my drift.
