a basket of fried chicken and french fries
    Shawn P.

The restaurant is small but the chicken is kickin. I passed this location a few times before I decided to check them out. Glad I did now I've added them for a great place for lunch. The only item on the menu is chicken and fries at a fair price. The only downfall is it's only a lunch restaurant but the owner has great conversation.

The Alpha of Chicken Strips & Sauce

The moment you walk into the door you'll be won over by the incredible aroma's. Chicken strips are a fav of mine and I know of the few places to get realy good strips but after today's amazing lunch I deem Kickin Chicken as the alpha of all of them.

Found this place by accident. Very tasty- decent price - will definitely return. I really like that the box is cardboard and not plastic/styrofoam

AMAZING CHICKEN! the owner is the nicest guy ever, amazing place! They have one opened now on Sinclair Up north and it's an amazing place. Everything is high quality, the meat, the flavor, everything! and it's all fresh. The owner is extremely friendly and really makes you feel comfortable. 10/10 experience everytime

It's very small, and most people appeared to get take out. Per usual, we ordered A LOT... and all at one time. That was our mistake. I recommend ordering your food a few skewers at a time so the food doesn't have time to get cold. They offer a warming grate, but it doesn't do much. Initially, I loved the skewers. However, they use the same seasonings on everything... which gets a little overwhelming. I really enjoyed the green beans, chicken, wings, potatoes, and beef; my husband enjoyed the prawns and lamb (I don't like either meat, so I didn't try those). The hotdog was 'ok'. It has been a while since I have been here, so I am open to going back and trying more items.

I ordered the CHICKEN SANDWICH which I did enjoy. I found the chicken to be covered in a crunchier coasting that some other chains, but it's flavour was a little bland to me. This was my first time ever having Raising Cane's. The fries were a good portion, but definitely too soggy. The Texas toast is fairly good, I could taste the butter on it; personally, when I'm already eating fried chicken and french fries, I probably don't need another brown carb with it, but I know it's just their "thing." The chicken fingers were decent size and I'm sure they would've been crispier if it wasn't for the styrofoam container. The breading was nice because it was a little heavier than Popeye's in my opinion, but not by much. I liked the Cane Sauce personally, although it was a tad salty. I'm glad I can say I tried it, but I'm not craving it strongly. Drive-thru service was fast, which was a plus.

We both got the fried chicken BLT, the spoon bread and mac & cheese. The spoon bread is simple corn bread, but it was really good. The mac & cheese was homemade and delicious. The sandwiches were outstanding and huge. My daughter and I could have split one between us. Instead, we brought two halves home. Not sure what this place used to be. High ceilings with barn beams and an old style post office mail box layout, like you might see in an old hotel. Regardless, would not hesitate to come back.

We actually got to the restaurant a little bit early and they ended up seating us outside, which was perfect. For food, I had the fried chicken sandwich with french fries and mac & cheese. My girlfriend had the chicken sandwich as well, so we each got a different side. The chicken was perfectly cooked without being overly greasy or oily. The french fries were delicious, and the macaroni and cheese was heavenly. Our server was very friendly and intensive to our needs. I felt like our food came out very quickly. Overall great time here and can't wait to come back. Love going to this place in Cincinnati as well, so I was very happy when they opened one up in Columbus.

This place was described as a farm to table chicken joint and also mentions being "rooted in the flavors of the locally loved Uncle Nick's Greek Fried Chicken". I am not totally sure what that reference means, but I can say the food and chicken was good. I had the medium heat fried chicken sandwich and went with mac and cheese plus the mashed potatoes and gravy for my sides. Everything was good. Mashed potatoes needed some salt and pepper and I never add salt to anything, but after that and pouring some gravy on them it was perfect. The heat level on my was great. I went with Medium and may try the Nashville Hot next but that medium was a just right. My partner loves fried chicken and ordered the two-piece meal with a wing and breast, no heat, and enjoyed it as well. No complaints there. Service was the best. The guy that took our order was so personable and friendly and walked us through the options. After we ordered, even brought the food to the table once it was ready. Everything was hot and fresh. Soda machines were down but sure they'll get it fixed soon, and the restrooms were worn and really cold, but none of that was a big deal really. Overall a good experience and a solid option if you are craving some fried chicken or looking for a good chicken sandwich. And then on a whim, I said you don't charge for mayo on a sandwich and the guy gave me a smile and said Yep, we just started yesterday. I said OK if you're my receipt will reflect that just let me know. I'm gonna run it to Corporate real quick once I get my hands on it and that's fine. And then he said do you want the Mayo? I said no I just want you guys to enforce standard practices and not charged different prices or different customers as they walk in. He checked me out and did not give me a receipt.
