First review of 2026 and first visit here for me! We headed to Grandview to check out The Crispy…read moreCoop for lunch. This place was described as a farm to table chicken joint and also mentions being "rooted in the flavors of the locally loved Uncle Nick's Greek Fried Chicken". I am not totally sure what that reference means, but I can say the food and chicken was good. I had the medium heat fried chicken sandwich and went with mac and cheese plus the mashed potatoes and gravy for my sides. Everything was good. Mashed potatoes needed some salt and pepper and I never add salt to anything, but after that and pouring some gravy on them it was perfect. The heat level on my was great. I went with Medium and may try the Nashville Hot next but that medium was a just right. My partner loves fried chicken and ordered the two-piece meal with a wing and breast, no heat, and enjoyed it as well. No complaints there. Service was the best. The guy that took our order was so personable and friendly and walked us through the options. After we ordered, even brought the food to the table once it was ready. Everything was hot and fresh. Soda machines were down but sure they'll get it fixed soon, and the restrooms were worn and really cold, but none of that was a big deal really. Overall a good experience and a solid option if you are craving some fried chicken or looking for a good chicken sandwich. The place was packed early for a Saturday but I found out because they were closing. I ordered a 2 piece meal with Collard Greens and Mac & Cheese. The seasoning on the chicken was amazing! Very flavorful. Greens were just as tasty. I hope to see this business open up in another location.

Tiny, carryout only, though there are a couple of tables to sit while you wait or maybe to eat a quick lunch. Super friendly staff. Fairly short menu; all the good stuff. I wasn't famished and didn't want to wait for chicken or fish, so I got an assortment of sides thinking that would be quicker. They fried up the okra right then, though, and had a steady stream of pickup orders coming through the door, so it still took 10-15 minutes. It was okay, though, smelling the amazing scents coming from the kitchen, talking to the staff and customers. I hadn't noticed they have ribs (just a picture, not on the menu) so I might've ordered those. Oh well. $20 I think, or they do combos with sides or fish and sides. Anyway. I got fried okra, and it was a big portion and absolutely amazing. No need for any sauces, tasty on its own. Perfectly crisp. Baked beans: my style, sauce so thick you can eat them with a fork. Slightly sweet, mostly savory, very good. Greens (collards) with turkey: outstanding. Tender but not floppy, nicely seasoned. Cornbread: soft, sweet, crumbly, topped with butter. Yum. Geechee rice: seasoned, bacon and sausage, very good. And black-eyed pea salad. I like black-eyed peas but had never had them in a salad. These were great: plump, with bits of tomato and cucumber and onion, in a vinegary dressing. Again, yum. Enough food for two meals. They gave me the side plate special, three sides and cornbread, which helped with the price. I was headed home and not thirsty so I didn't get a drink, but based on conversations with other customers I missed out on the lemonade and sweet tea. I'll be back for those and maybe a rib-fish combo. And to try the mac. Get here if you can!

The Taste of Korea sides selection offers unique items like Korean corn dogs, fried tofu and Seaweed Japchae rolls. I ordered half chicken (8 pieces) with Sweet Chili sauce, Seaweed Japchae rolls and a tall CBC Bohdi. The seaweed rolls were awesome! Cellophane noodles wrapped in seaweed, battered then fried crisp with a tangy Yum Yum like dipping sauce. I recommend them instead of French fries. I'm sure they are slightly healthier, at least that's what I'm telling myself lol. You just can't beat Korean Fried Chicken. Perfectly fried for that initial crunch but still super juicy on the inside. The Sweet Chili goes well with the crunch. Chicken this good always has me longing for Blue Cheese. I've had crunchier KFC but honestly the sauce made up for it. This combo redefines "Happy Meal". I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. If you are a big fan of fried chicken, you owe it to yourself to try Korean Fried Chicken around Columbus. I've tried many of them and this place is my #1 KFC spot. The quality and flavor are on par with bb.q Chicken in Olentangy Square (they have the crunchiest KFC I've ever had and still one of my favorites), but the menu selection is what makes the difference and edges out bb.q Chicken. Both are fantastic. I'm looking forward to trying more items and sides here! If you haven't tried Korean Fried Chicken yet, what are you waiting for!

Hot, salty broth with fried shrimp and gorgeous chewy noodles for $10 is an absolute steal. Everybody can't wait to come back! So happy for this location closer to me!!

I ordered the CHICKEN SANDWICH which I did enjoy. I found the chicken to be covered in a crunchier coasting that some other chains, but it's flavour was a little bland to me. This was my first time ever having Raising Cane's. The fries were a good portion, but definitely too soggy. The Texas toast is fairly good, I could taste the butter on it; personally, when I'm already eating fried chicken and french fries, I probably don't need another brown carb with it, but I know it's just their "thing." The chicken fingers were decent size and I'm sure they would've been crispier if it wasn't for the styrofoam container. The breading was nice because it was a little heavier than Popeye's in my opinion, but not by much. I liked the Cane Sauce personally, although it was a tad salty. I'm glad I can say I tried it, but I'm not craving it strongly. Drive-thru service was fast, which was a plus.

The sandwiches were outstanding and huge. My daughter and I could have split one between us. Instead, we brought two halves home. Not sure what this place used to be. We actually got to the restaurant a little bit early and they ended up seating us outside, which was perfect. For food, I had the fried chicken sandwich with french fries and mac & cheese. My girlfriend had the chicken sandwich as well, so we each got a different side. The chicken was perfectly cooked without being overly greasy or oily. The french fries were delicious, and the macaroni and cheese was heavenly. Our server was very friendly and intensive to our needs. I felt like our food came out very quickly. Overall great time here and can't wait to come back. Love going to this place in Cincinnati as well, so I was very happy when they opened one up in Columbus.

Fries were fresh and came out hot, and all the toppings/add-ons tasted really good. Only small complaint, the gyro meat was a little on the dry side. Not terrible, just not my favorite thing there. I had been to one of their other locations, so when it popped up I knew it would fit the bill. I arrived to discover a spotlessly clean restaurant with a big dining area, lots of natural light, and friendly faces greeting me from the moment I stepped inside. I went with a falafel bowl with both salad and rice, hummus, tzatziki, tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, pickled cabbage, feta, and two sauces on the side. Their house sauce and their hot option, the green s'hug. I also grabbed a side of fries and one of their housemade drinks. The portion was large, everything was fresh, delicious, and it was cheap. All of this came out to just under $16. Their falafel wasn't my favorite compared to other places in town, which is the only reason I went with four stars instead of five. Overall, I would come back if I'm craving something fresh and healthy.
