bbq chicken has only been open for 2 days so the place was pretty empty. Ordered the Galbi 6 piece whole chicken for $16 and it's enough to feed 3 people, which is pretty good for specialty food. We also ordered the cheesling fries. They were surprisingly addictive. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed the vibe of the K-pop videos on the TV screens. Would have given 5 stars if the location was grouped with Fengcha and kickin crab. Too bad all of the Asian restaurants aren't grouped together to create a better hang out experience. To walk around and walk from spot to spot..But I will definitely be going back. Give them a try.

I placed a pickup order online. I got the lunch special of 8 pieces with a drink. The chicken was SO GOOD! I'm hooked. I wish I took a picture before I started tearing it up!

Korean fried chicken is the best, and you would be missing out if you don't try it! Try the cheesling or galbi,

Server was very polite but it was obvious they were understaffed by a lot. 1 server and whole restaurant was full. Regardless, server did a great job keeping up. Food: Side dishes: the kimchi, cucumber kimchi, spicy fish cake were great. The salad was okay. The japchae noodles were mediocre. And the pickled daikon didn't taste like they used much vinegar. Dipping sauces were all great. Sesame oil, samjang blend, a sweet and spicy sauce. Meat: enjoyed the brisket, beef belly, pork belly, beef finger meat, Hawaiian pork belly. The Galbi marinade would have been better with the finger meat marinade. Overall had a great meal and would come again. Hopefully will be better staffed next time!

When you walk in, you're greeted, and the atmosphere is great. It's a small, cozy spot, which I really like. They do get pretty busy on weekends, especially during dinner time, so it's a good idea to call and double-check. They also accept reservations. The food was excellent; everything came out perfectly and tasted delicious. My favorite was the bulgogi--it was nice and tender. I highly recommend this location if you're craving some good Korean BBQ.

But it was quite heavy with the amount of stuff it has on it. The two hands dog is a half beef sausage and half mozzarella corn dog with the Two Hands signature seasoning and sweet ranch. It was good especially with the ranch, but it was basically the classic dog but better. The classic dog is a corn dog with half beef sausage and half mozzarella. It has a good balance of sweet and salty...this is the OG so although good, it's basic. The crispy rice dog is a half beef sausage and half mozzarella corn dog wrapped with crispy rice puffs. Honestly, it didn't taste like much and the rice added nothing to it except some texture but even that, I didn't like the texture The kimchi seasoning fries are french fries with Two Hands kimchi seasoning. It was good but does not taste like kimchi...I don't know what the dust was, but it was good but I prefer regular fries.

It's good, but not my favorite. However, it was an intro for my classmates who don't really eat Asian food like that. The food was overall good, I knew the good things to order because of prior work experience here. Crazy sauce, red wine pork belly, rice paper, salad, etc. is good! I did find a hair in the potato salad, but it's okay because we were full plus it was unlimited ban chan too. Overall, food was good and ambiance was fun. Amanda stopping by to our table definitely elevated our experience! Thank you for the soju recommendation, best soju we've ever had!

Came in around 4:30pm on a Sunday so it wasn't very busy at all. The ambience is what you can expect from a normal Gen location however there was nothing authentically Korean about this location compared to the Carrollton location. It felt like a gentrified culture grab that's dressing like a Korean restaurant for Halloween. My server was very friendly and helpful but unfortunately he looked pretty swamped trying to manage multiple tables. When we had put in our orders for food, it did take a little while for the uncooked meats to come out. Once we had cooked our first round, we unfortunately waited for like 20 minutes until our server came back to put in additional orders. During our 2 hours there, there was a lot of sitting around time with our grill burning the meat scraps waiting for a new grill top to be placed. This burning just caused more smoking and tinging of the nostrils. I had also asked for a drink refill which I had never received in the 2 hours I was there. When I asked for a to go cup instead since it was time to leave, I was given my soda refill in a plastic bag that had no business being drunk portably. The server was clearly overwhelmed and management needs to address the operations at this location. I also need to mention that we were just given a single pair of tongs and scissors to use our entire evening. You need to be prepared for cross contamination because your tongs will touch all of the raw meat. Next, I'll mention the quality of the meat itself. This place has unfortunately become a product of a struggling economy with increased prices for lower quality of food. Almost all of the meats we cooked had a powdery texture. I consider myself an expert on cooking at a Korean BBQ restaurant so I know I don't overcooked it but the texture left a lot to be desired. The flavors were fine and I did enjoy the kimchi and the Japchae noodles however that's where my enjoyment ends. As for the drinks, we ordered the Lychee Soju out of the pitcher and it was sweet and flavorful. I have read reviews of how Gen has really declined over the years and now I've gotten to experience that sheer disappointment. I can no longer recommend this place to anyone as I once have. I've been to this business several times in the past and I'm not sure what it'll take to win me back. Thanks for the memories!
