    French Onion soup
    Julia H.

Bazille at Nordstroms is a favorite for my BFF's birthday celebration. We always have to order the French Onion soup. It is the best. Deep rich flavor and lots of gooey cheese! Then we split the French Dip sandwich with crispy fries. The sandwich could have been a little hotter and crispier but was still tasty. And of course a nice glass of wine. The service is always good and very attentive. Give it a try!

Food needs a lot of Improvement. I used to eat a lot when it was under different management and it was called Bistro. Ever since food is just another sports bar menu, our calamari were so greasy and burnt I had to send them back, which is very unusual for me, the second batch they brought was just about the same. The chicken sandwich was so big there was no way we could just bit on it, and the flavour... not impressed. They refill the drinks with a pitcher of soda that's been probably sitting for hours and is already flat. The crab Mac and cheese used to be delicious, it was just plain fusilli with a few pieces of crab and not wha I was expecting. The skirt and fries were very tasty so it was the bread pudding dessert. We drove about 55 mins to the restaurant, promised our guests ever was going to be delicious, so disappointed.

This place was a very nice experience! I ordered the margherita pizza which was great aside from the large tomatoes. The mocktail options were amazing. The straw of the show were the Brussels sprouts, hands down. The flavor of them combined with the chicken sausage was out of this world. There was amazing service as our waiter checked on us many times, and this restaurant had an amazing ambience. Very peaceful, very vibey!

Great food and awesome service. We haven't eaten here in years. Wow we will be back. We ordered calamari, fish and chips and pepperoni pizza.

Pros: food, wine and shopping. Seriously, what could be better? Cons: I feel like they get busy at random times I wouldn't expect. Hard to time with shopping so not easy to time to make a reservation which can be a pain. Overall: my all time favorite here are the fries with olive tapenade. Seriously, can y'all jar that tapenade so I can take it home or make it a side to go? Love that there are so many reasonably healthy options too to refuel when shopping that aren't just a burger but I will always get the fries.

Food: 9/10 Service: 10/10 Aesthetic: 6/10 Favorite tucked away lunch spot (Inside Neiman Marcus) ! I came here with a mission to grab a light solo lunch before grabbing some Kate Weiser chocolate and accidentally walked out full! #1 THE GARLIC BUTTER & bread!! I wanted to take the butter to go. Absolutely delish #2 the French onion soup was yum, they went heavy on the cheese though. #3 surprise birthday treat a glazed cinnamon cake! It was the perfect happy ending. Literally wobbled out. I'll be back for more.

    Mushroom pizza greasy

This is not the day for mall food. Highly recommend this spot for drinks and most appetizers. The low review is for the super greasy mushroom pizza.

New for us. 'Boushie' and fun. The waiter was worth the visit! I really wanted the prime rib French dip as it is a favorite online but they were out of prime rib...ask when you walk in. I did enjoy the turkey and avocado club. Mom loved the margerita pizza. Daughter loved the kung poa brussel sprouts. Restrooms belong to Nordstrom and were clean. Restaurant was clean/lovely. I'll be back to try that prime rib!!

Overall: 2.6/5 [dine in]…read more The place is nice, but smaller than expected. They had bubble guns too, which was a fun surprise. We came in near closing time, but Emilia provided us great service and stayed attentive even though they were clearly packed. We were seated at a table near the door, and unfortunately it had a vomit smell. Whatever it was, my friend could not stand it and had to get up and step away from the table. We first thought the culprit was the paper drink coasters, but then the staff removed the door mat near us later on, so maybe someone puked on it and the smell lingered, even after it was cleaned up. Clear Mizu ($16): This has Sakura vermouth and bitters, so we ordered it. It tasted like straight up gin and was not good. It was actually one of the rare times my husband could not finish his drink. Kyoto Sunset ($15): This one wasn't bad and tasted like honeydew. The ingredients include honeydew Calpico, so that makes sense. Johnny Walker Black ($16): This was our friend's drink, which I think was just coke and Johnny Walker. Nothing special about the taste either. Given the smell and so-so/terrible cocktails, we will not be coming back or taking our friends here.

Overall: 4.7/5 [dine in]…read more Service was amazing! Our waitress Emilia was super attentive throughout the whole night. The drinks have unique flavor combinations that actually deliver and the happy hour is phenomenal. We're talking 50% off select appetizers and entrees, $12 Over the Counter cocktails, $10 classics, and BOGO ponies and shots. They also have daily specials Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday. The space has serious speakeasy vibes so give your eyes a few seconds to adjust when you walk in from the bright light outside. Icelandic Hot Dog ($3.50 HH): Tiny single bite TX wagyu dog that was cute but hard to share. Tasted pretty similar to a regular hot dog. Tostada ($4 HH): Kanpachi on a blue corn tortilla. I'd recommend getting 2 since it gets messy the moment you take a bite and I didn't really get a proper taste of it because of that. Caviar Chip ($6.50 HH): A generous dollop of caviar on a kettle cooked potato chip with creme fraiche underneath. A yummy combo but honestly something you could recreate at home. East Coast Oyster ($2.75 HH): My husband got a single oyster to try and thought it was pretty good. London Fog ($12 HH): Milk washed London dry gin, earl grey, aveze, dry curacao, and vanilla orange honey. I loved this cocktail. I don't usually like gin and find earl grey too strong on its own but this combination was perfection. It was also served in the cutest tea cup with a yummy cookie on the side. Morocco ($12 HH): Moroccan mint tea, terralta reposado, rye, fernet branca menta, and agave. Not my favorite compared to the London Fog but my husband absolutely loved it and said it was one of the best cocktails he has ever had. He even said it would have been his signature cocktail at our wedding. I was shocked but to each their own. Confit'd and Fried Chicken Wings ($7.50 HH): The most disappointing item of the night. Came with 6 wings tossed in a Korean wing sauce that tasted very close to buffalo. The wings themselves were average. Skip these. Beef Cheek Tacos ($12 HH): Came with 3 tacos that were some of the best we've had in a while. Delicious, flavorful, no notes. Highly recommend. Soft Serve Marg ($12 HH): Like a boozy dole whip that doubled as dessert. Not too heavy but not super strong either. A fun way to end the meal. Pekin Tom ($20): Duck fat washed wild turkey 101, lapsang peach liqueur, absinthe, and pecan smoke. Not part of the happy hour menu. They smoke it right in front of you which is a cool presentation but the taste was pretty average. APO Burger ($10 HH) + Truffle Fries Sub ($7): The truffle fries felt a bit steep but they ended up being worth it. Super crispy, delicious, and addictive. The burger was cut in half which made it easy to share and it came with a TX wagyu patty, bruleed fontina, Spanish tomato spread, garlic whip, and chive. Burst of flavors, melt in your mouth wagyu, absolutely chef's kiss. We will 100% be coming back. It's a perfect spot for an intimate date night.

The Inappropriate Beet Pun (London dry gin, strega, beet, red pepper, orange juice, lemon, honey, goat cheese coconut foam) tasted very beet/earthy... ngl I liked drinking the bottom part separately from the goat cheese foam. They tasted better individually than together. Others' drinks were mostly good! Especially, the earl Grey cocktail in a teacup. Service was knowledgeable and fast.

Right from the start, I loved the entrance--it's super cool how they're connected with the sushi bar next door. The atmosphere was top-tier, complete with great music and fast, friendly service. Full review: I made a reservation for Ginger's at 9.30pm on a Saturday night. We arrived around 9.20pm and there was no line yet. We were able to go right in but had to wait until our reservation time for the table. We got a drink from the bar, where the other patrons were friendly and the bartenders were fast and very attentive despite it already being fairly busy. Our table was ready right at 9.30, and it was great. Two large comfy chairs with a small cocktail table in between. Cozy enough for conversation despite the place being fairly busy. It was much busier by the time we left (there was a line outside at that point), but our cozy spot was great regardless of how crowded the place got. As far as the aesthetics go, the bar is beautiful and the discreet entrance gives it the speakeasy feel. The music was great, and a handful of patrons danced in the space (which just added to the lively ambience). The drinks are top notch. I only had two. The Ginger's Old Fashioned is a solid old fashioned but nothing to rave about. However, the Diamond in the Rough is amazing and unlike any other bourbon cocktail I've had. I'd go back for that alone (and would definitely the Barrel-Aged Black Manhattan the next time). The only real downside to the bar is the restrooms. There was a slight wait for the men's (no big deal), but the wait for the women's was pretty crazy with a line outside. We let women start alternating to use the men's because we felt a little bad for them.

The restaurant is pretty intimate and tables are close together, with additional seating outside. The service is super friendly and finds a great balance between checking on the table and letting the customers take their time to chat and look over the menu. I just wish our server mentioned there were additional drink menu options written over the bar, because I preferred those choices to what was on the menu! On the topic of cocktails, I tried the the nuit en rose spritz, the limoncello spritz as well as the pina colada spritz. They were all delicious, freshening and while the cocktails are definitely pricey, I thought there was enough alcohol in the drinks to make them worth it. For food, we ordered the honey truffle brie baguette, the frites, and the quiche of the day which happened to be goat cheese and spinach. WOW!! The baguette transported me to heaven, so good!! The truffle is strong though, so only order if you like that flavoring! Frites were crispy and easy to grab by the handful, definitely worth ordering and splitting with the whole table. The quiche was fresh and bouncy, and I was glad it was on offering since the regular quiche includes meat that can't be substituted out! Will definitely come back to this hidden gem!!
