2015 Nissan Leaf SL from Bayside. You might be able to see scratches on the right rear. I don't have any other pics yet.

I dealt with Johnny who is a good dude. I'd buy a car from him again. He's got a good sense of humor, he's responsive, responsible, and knows how to make a deal happen. I felt comfortable in the office with my 5 year old. They were nice and found toys for him and let him roam about freely. They were largely responsive and helpful. With any used car dealer you have to be pretty firm and ask for a detailed breakdown of any costs. This is normal. I got a 2015 Nissan Leaf SL here for $4000. Plus taxes and title, registration, etc. Pretty darn good deal. The car has like 81,000 miles on it. A few dents. Otherwise it's pretty nice. 11 out of 12 bars left on the battery (LeafSpy showed 81% battery life), which is pretty amazing for the price, at least based on what I've seen around here recently. The car was out of alignment pretty bad, so it cost me like $500 to get that addressed. They had to tweak the front end a bit. I'm in Seattle and the best place to do that is always Truline in the International District. They're amazing. Otherwise no issues but the obvious dents I mentioned, and one tire is losing air. Normal stuff for a used car. They tried to sell me on an anti theft package but I declined. The only complaint I have is that this is an electric car, and it wasn't fully charged when I came by to look at it. I came all the way from Seattle, so we had to leave it charging overnight and I had to come back the next day on the train/bus. A bit of a pain, but I won't knock off a star for that. Me and my 5 year old got the chance to ride the Light Rail for the first time from South Seattle all the way to Lynnwood. Cool! Based on the other reviews, I think the people here get a bad rap but they all seemed like just normal people with families and stuff. I mean THEY'RE A USED CAR DEALER FFS. Everyone is trying to make a buck in this world, don't fool yourself. The experience I had was no different from the experience I've had at any other used car dealership. Maybe if you're stupid they would charge you for stuff you don't need; that is completely normal for a used car dealer. They're trying to make money. Don't be stupid. If you don't know how to buy a car, bring someone with you who does. This is just basic stuff fam. If you don't know how to assess the condition of a car, get it inspected. I feel like none of the complainers in here actually did their own diligence. Yeah it's a pain to get a car inspected, but if you don't, and there's some problem down the road? That's 100% on you. I only have the one pic of my car so far. I'll add more if I remember to :) I would buy a car here again. Thanks Johnny and everyone for making me a happy customer.

Ask the Community - Bayside Auto Sales

So I've read some reviews about the cars breaking down within a month. And I wanna know if anyone has any experience where the car you bought was fine? This will be my first car and I just don't wanna make a bad choice.

True. Bayside Auto does not disclose any mechanical or safety issues at the time of sale. Not any kind of inspection is done on any of it's used vehicles FYI. The front breaks of my car I just bought from Bayside didn't function correctly because…

We headed out in search of driving and learning about an electric vehicle (EV) We were not intending on purchasing one. It was just an exploratory mission to drive, learn and compare EVs. We stopped by Lee Johnson Hyundai in Everett and my life's course changed forever. I saw him. Yes him. (Not that Him.) Lee. Low pressure, friendly, informative, well dressed, Lee. Lee was able to explain, show, demonstrate, explain again, (I'm old) about all the EVs idiosyncrasies. We took a test drive and were very impressed. I would mention the vehicle here but, no. The star of the day was Lee. Sadly, and I later learned, stupidly, we told Lee thank you for the bountiful gift of knowledge but we must quest on and look at other EVs to further our knowledge. Lee happily sent me on my way. Kind, friendly Lee did not try to make a "high pressure last ditch effort" to keep me there. He just wished me well and said "I hope I see you again." (Little did I know Lee must be psychic.) We went to other dealers and engaged and learned bout other EVs. We found a lot of EVs to be a plastic, uncomfortable, cheaply put together with random EV tech thrown around that wasn't even on the same level as what Lee showed us. We thanked the other, low pressure, very friendly but not as friendly as Lee, sales people. We went back to Lee. There he was. Not standing impatiently at the front of the dealership, like so many sales people do. He was inside sitting and joking with other people. His face lit up when he saw me. The word destiny, came to mind. But I digress. I could go on and on about Lee. But I have to go to work. I ended up purchasing an Ioniq 5. The star of the show should have been the Ioniq 5. It is am amazing EV with a 10yr battery warranty. Not 8 years. Bumper to bumper warranty , for what seems forever and blah, blah, blah. If you want to buy an EV, Lee will show you what Lee Johnson Hyundai has available. He will explain and help you make a decision. That decision might be to leave and think about the purchase, to go check other dealers or whatever you need or desire. Lee will help you however he can, No Strings Attached (Not the *NSYNC album reference so no copyright infringement) It was a pleasure buying an Ioniq 5 from Lee Hanson at Lee Johnson Hyundai. ( Maybe the key is hiring Lee's? Who knows?) Also a big Thank You to Anthony Hawkins and Joe Frasquillo who I also meet at the dealership. Though not named Lee, they too were wonderful to talk with. I hope this review can help others to avoid my terrible circumstances in the future. I brought my 2017 Tundra in for a 90k service to Rodland. I am very consistent on my services and would go to Rodland for my big mileage services. The service went fine although it was $1000 (expected). Roughly 10 months later when I was driving on the freeway my transmission drain bolt fell out, fluid drained out, and my transmission is toast. I brought my truck to a local mechanic where I was stranded. That independent mechanic was adamant that the cause was either the bolt not being torqued to spec or a new crush washer not being properly installed at my last service. I did not hit anything or sustain any damage. The mechanic thought for sure Rodland (who last touched my transmission and serviced it) would take responsibility and help me with a new transmission in some form or fashion. I called Rodland and asked if they would be willing to tow it to them (or I would pay to) and help me with this service issue. Rodland denied any responsibility, said I could tow it to them, but that I would have to pay full price for a new transmission and they said other shops would probably be cheaper. After escalating the issue, they said they would look into maybe getting me a discount on a new transmission. After looking into it, they stated the transmission is not available (on back order) and all they could offer was for me to pay full price for a rental car from them in the meantime. No loaner (they don't offer them) or discount on rental was offered. I ended up ordering a new transmission through a different Toyota dealership who was willing (Marysville) and I have been quoted a wait time of roughly 3-4 months for delivery. So in conclusion, going to the dealership for my 90k service ($1000) lead to my drain plug falling out 10 months later, transmission failing, zero offer of customer service help (anything would have made me thankful), and now a 3+ month wait for a new transmission from Toyota. Please for your sake ALWAYS make sure your drain plugs are properly replaced and tightened after your services. I will now ALWAYS do this. I love Toyota, but this was (and still is) a real tough pill to swallow. I hope this review helps Rodland and/or a customer in the future.

We were able to get a decent deal, but when they changed the numbers from a previously already agreed number (they went up) I tried to clarify and the manager just talked over me, would not listen and when I tried to very calmly explain what I had been told before he snapped and said "then have a good day because I'm not going to help you anymore." Our sales person Alex was very helpful at first but as soon as she had texted us the incorrect numbers, clarifying it was like pulling teeth and she got defensive and rude. The idea that I had to talk THEM off a ledge just to clarify something is pretty wild. Most likely would not shop here again and unless they're giving you a great deal it's not worth their attitude. Update: Even worse than originally thought, 3 weeks later and paperwork still not completed, we have filled out everything they sent us they had to resend paperwork 3 times, their manager called and said "fill out the paperwork or bring back the car" which we did, then they had the wrong info despite me sending it to them over and over again which prevented us from even being able to receive part of the paperwork. Worst dealership buying experience I have ever had by tenfold, buyer beware steer clear.

This review is for my first interaction with this company :)…read more I have been through the ringer when it comes to me trying to purchase a car with the first problem being my credit is pretty much non-existent/a few collections and second being I'm a first time buyer. I've pretty much been told "we can get you into a new car, however, you're going to need an extravagent down payment and an even crazier monthly payment..." No one ever takes time to explain why or break things down. Well, I was at my wit's end yesterday and decided to reach out to Excellent Choice Auto Sales via their website. Immediately, I was called by Ross who asked a few questions about what I was looking for and about my situation. He invited me down to the lot to see what my options were and how he could help. On the phone he was really friendly and eager to help. I took a cab down to the lot and was greeted by Ross and another associate, with a handshake and a genuine smile. It was cold outside so they invited me in to their toasty and cozy office. Again, Ross asked/clairfied what I was trying to do car wise and what my experiences have been about. Never once did he give off a pushy or an eyeroll when I told him of my bad credit history. He said point blank that he's going to run a few checks and see what he can do... not what he CAN'T do. This put me at ease that he really wanted help. When he came back, he basically told, no take that back, showed me how the lenders come up with the decisions they come up with and why it's been so hard for me get a decent loan. He showed me the few collections that were hindering me and that I pretty much don't have a credit score, based on lending scores. He explained it in ways I understood and was comfortable with. But the awesomeness didn't end there. He told me how I can start to rebuild my credit and eventually get a car I wanted. He found me a car with low miles and a great price. He told me that I had a few days before I had to make a decision, which was awesome because he didn't pressure me into saying yes or no right on the spot. He knew it was a big decision and I appreciate him not pressuring me. After talking about it a few minutes, he offered me a ride home and a ride back to the dealership should I choose to wanna look at the car he was telling me about after it was back from being inspected and detailed. He was really nice and genuinely wanted me as a part of their family. What really stuck with me is that he said that most of their clientele are repeat customers. That says a lot to me. I'm not sure what happened with the other reviewers that gave negative remarks, but it sure doesn't sound like the same business that I went to. I look forward to working with them again!

Title:Avoid this dealership unless you're working directly with Kaelynn…read more I purchased a 2018 Cadillac XTS from Excellent Choice Auto on June 3rd. While Kaelynn was absolutely wonderful to work with, the rest of this experience was a complete mess. Kaelynn was the reason I chose to buy. She was upfront, respectful, and truly gave me confidence in the vehicle. She even worked out a solid deal for me. I trusted her so much that I sent the down payment before ever seeing the car in person. She is a preacher's daughter, and her integrity and professionalism reflect that. If this review were about her alone, I'd give 5 stars across the board. When I arrived to pick up the car, Kaelynn was off, and I was referred to a salesman named Sam. At first, he seemed cool. He picked me up in the Cadillac, and the car looked great -- but I now realize he never offered me a test drive. I was told the car went through a multipoint inspection and that I'd be provided with the paperwork. I did get a Carfax report, but no inspection documents were ever given. I waited a long time at the dealership while they worked on the paperwork. Sam showed me other cars -- probably to buy time -- but never once did a walkaround of the actual vehicle I was buying. I foolishly trusted his word. After I signed everything and took ownership, I went outside, opened the door, and saw what I thought was a spill on the driver's side lower door panel. I asked Sam for a cloth and spray, and when I looked closer, I realized it was chew marks -- likely from an animal. I immediately contacted Sam and asked if I could swap the car for the Audi I had also been interested in (priced similarly). His response? "That vehicle is yours now. We can take it in as a trade on the Audi, but we can't swap them. You signed the contract." So much for customer service. The moment the deal was done, he made it clear I was on my own. Fast forward just 10 days to June 13. The car had less than 500 miles driven since purchase, and it broke down. After filling up with gas, the gauge didn't reflect a full tank. Then the engine began sputtering. Stabilitrak and check engine lights came on. My speedometer stopped working entirely. I had the car scanned at AutoZone and it came back with several codes: U0073 - Control Module Communication Bus A Off U0100 - Lost Communication With Engine Control Module P0700 - Transmission Control System Error U0101 - Lost Communication With Transmission Control Module P0442 - Small EVAP leak And more This isn't wear and tear. This is major electrical and transmission communication failure -- days after I bought it. And I barely drove the car (just 400+ miles). I texted Sam and called him -- he never responded. Eventually, he started rejecting my calls entirely. Thankfully, Kaelynn stepped up again. She followed up with the mechanic, reassured me, and even apologized for referring Sam to me. She showed more professionalism in one call than he has this entire time. Now I'm stuck with a car that might not be safe to drive. The warranty they included forces me to pay for a tow back to the dealership (68 miles), and my insurance only covers 15 miles. That means I'd have to pay about $5-8 per mile out of pocket -- plus a $300 deductible -- just to get them to look at the car. I'm now exploring whether I qualify for the Carfax Buyback Guarantee, because this situation is completely unacceptable. This car clearly had issues before I bought it, and I was not told the truth. Kaelynn: 5 stars. Sam and the dealership's behavior after the sale: 0 stars. If you're buying from Excellent Choice Auto -- work only with Kaelynn. If she's not available, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Then they refused to give me a rental car, after three days, without a vehicle, paying an uber to drive me to and back from work, then again, when I asked for a rental car, their customer service response (Betty I believe) was "well you can call enterprise if you want ".
