    Bayside burger Bistro steak Benedict

Immediate 10/10!! The food was phenomenal served hot and fresh. Every bite of food packed a delicious punch that had my licking my fingers! I ordered the bayside burger with in egg inside and was devastated when my I finished my burger because I couldn't wait to get another bite! The service was absolutely phenomenal and super speedy. The wait time was about 15 minutes when we arrived for brunch which was fantastic. The restaurant itself was super cute although we didn't see the upstairs the downstairs looked very nice and I could only imagine how much nicer the upstairs would be.

My sister and I were visiting from NY and this place came highly recommended. We had a short wait and were seated upstairs. I had the lobster Hollondaise and my sister built an omelette with goat cheese, spinach, a mushroom medley and tempeh. Laura was our server and went above and beyond! She was so sweet, very attentive and even helped with directions after our meal. I would definitely check this restaurant out if you haven't already!

Really good brunch food in a cute environment. Very homey decor and food. Expect a wait but it was well worth it. The lobster scramble was excellent, as was the blueberry pancake I tried.

Cute multi level place. Our wait was about 20 minutes which wasn't bad at all. Ordered a Maine blueberry pancake with Maine maple syrup and one scrambled egg. The service was very slow and it took quite awhile for the food to come out. I wouldn't consider the egg scrambled as it was paper thin and flat, and tasteless. The pancake was huge, good value for $6. The butter was frozen. Not sure I would come back.

A great place for breakfast or brunch. Nice setup in a old house. We had to wait about 45 mins but once seated we were served quickly. The food is great we had the lobster scramble, avocado toast, and benedicts. All very tasty and with large portions. For a sweet ending to our meal we had the blueberry coffee cake pancake which we shared. Very satisfied.

Unfortunately I ate first, not the phone ‍ This is a make your own omelette, their 3 potato home fries, and the honey wheat toast

Bayside is always the best experience for me. I went for Sunday brunch with my cousin and we only had to wait about 25-30 mins. 100% worth the wait. They have limited seating between the downstairs and upstairs. They do have a few tables outside in the warmer months. Once seated we were given water. We ordered drinks first. They took a little while but not too long. The server helped with any questions on the menu. We ordered and got the food in a good amount of time. The food was fantastic. I got an omelette with their honey wheat toast. Everything was so delicious. I love the three potato homefries/hash. The prices are totally worth it. Their entrance and bathrooms are not handicap accessible. There are some parking spaces outside but no lot. It does get super busy on the weekends. I will 100% keep coming back.

Heading to Bayside American Cafe for brunch is literally a treat. In a quirky part of the old port, you'll find a gem of a restaurant. The staff are friendly and the bottom level allows an open view into the kitchen - which I always appreciate. The food is wholesome and delicious, and the menu is plentiful! My only complaints are the size of the restaurant (it's very small), typically creates a situation in which you experience a long wait.

The classic everything was cooked just the way I like it. The eggs not over scrambled the home fries nice and tender and the sausage cooked well done. The waffles had sweetness to them already didn't really need syrup. The bacon I should've requested to be crunchy. Our waitress Jade was very friendly and helpful with helping us get familiarized with the menu. She made sure we had everything we needed and she is much appreciated for her service. This is has a loud ambiance because it is definitely full to capacity for breakfast and now I see why. Everything the offer is well worth coming here to get. I strongly recommend this place for breakfast if ever in the area.

Stopped here for a quick bite during our stop in Portland - was pretty good. Their coffee was like top tier diner coffee- nothing fancy but tasted pretty good. The homemade Tuscan bread was THICC and dense. Wasn't ready for that haha but their eggs and home potatoes were good. The best part of the meal? The cinnamon bun pancake omg, was so delicious sweet but not overpowering. And it's a big pancake so don't feel like you need to get more than one. They do have non dairy milk. The restaurant itself is super cute and cozy. And our waitress was so chill and nice.

I had the avocado toast, the Avocado and truffle mix/paste that was on the bread was tasteless, and had a weird smell. For my drink I ordered a latte with oat milk, the foam on top looked like soap, and quickly dissolved, Turing into just a normal bitter coffee. The service was decent and our waitress was very kind. Overall didn't taste all too good, wouldn't recommend.

Don't think about stopping by here JUST GO! From the food to the service its a wonderful experience. I stopped in before heading to the airport and usually I never have to high of expectations when it comes to breakfast food. I mean its just eggs and pancakes right? Well Bayside American Cafe blew my socks off! Everything was absolutely delicious and the bartenders were great and personable, i'm not sure her name but she wore a seagull on her shoulder and she provided amazing service! I tried the crabcake benedict and the bacon + cheddar + scallion pancake with bourbon maple syrup and both were divine! That may be one of the best benedicts i've ever had and those potatoes were perfectly seasoned! Everything tasted fresh and cooked with care. I will 10000% be stopping by the next time I visit Portland! The restaurant is nice and cozy inside!

We came here at 10:30 on a Saturday. I will say there was a long wait, but it was worth it. They will put your name down and text you when they have your table ready. There is also a waitlist link so you can see how many people are ahead of you (which I love). Our server was very bubbly and attentive. I ordered the lobster Benedict and every bite was flavorful. It was buttery goodness. I highly recommend!

We must have came in at a good time because we were seated right away when we came in. Everybody was very nice. Coffee was pretty good. I am not a Maine local so I wanted to try their blueberry soda, I loved it! I got the cinnamon roll pancakes, they were delicious. My boyfriend really enjoyed the corned beef hash plate. This place was awesome.

My grandma and I enjoying brunch together at Bayside! Yum!

They were not anything compared to the Trader Joe's blueberry muffins in terms of softness and moisture...Costco blueberry muffins are a little bit less dry than these. - the grilled bit of the muffin was a bit of a letdown. It is just literally cut in half and put on top of a grill for maybe a few minutes for the char lines and that's it. Nothing else done to it - they made it sound like it had something else so I'm pretty disappointed in that one. - BUT the chocolate pancake was DELICIOUS. It's like Betty Crocker chocolate cake mix on a pan, in the shape of a pancake, and chocolate frosting/fudge/ganache? On top, with white icing to make the squiggle. Would buy over the muffin tbh. - the chili was swimming with cheese, so if you like that it's for you. My bf couldn't eat his because it was a thick glob of melted cheese every time he lifted his fork. BUT I myself adore cheese so I would've been happy with that. Maybe they can ask customers how much cheese they want? That'd solve that problem. Low/Medium/High levels of cheese?

Which based on everything we had I completely understand why, this place makes incredible food and drinks. Overall it has a great inviting feeling to the space. To start off I enjoyed a Morning Bun Latte while my wife got the Honey & Juniper Latte. Both came out perfect temperature with well done latte art and delicious taste. My wife was obsessed with their pottery mugs that the lattes came served in. Food wise we were looking to split everything and it worked perfectly. We ended up choosing French Toast, Soft Scrambled Eggs, and the Fried Potatoes side. Every dish would be an absolute no brainer for us to order again. Every bite of food kept us wanting even more. Lastly we grabbed a chocolate croissant to go and that was just as tasty and enjoyed it after our visit. After this visit it is certainly a new favorite spot of ours, and look forward to coming back! Worth your time visiting!
