FIRST TIME VISIT! My hubby, his service dog and his service dog in training (puppy) and I were driving back to Texas from Illinois and needed a place to stop for the night. This hotel was just off the 44 fwy and an easy stop, so we booked a last minute stay. For a few bucks extra we got the king suite with hot tub to ease our sore muscles for all the travel and visiting we'd done the past 4 days. PROS: Hot tub available in some rooms. Clean room, plenty of clean towels, 2 bathrobes to use and a fluffy bed. Pretty sure this was due to a mattress topper. The pillows were probably the best level of firmness I had experienced during our stays in various hotels on this trip. Breakfast is available. Hot scrambled eggs and sausage links. A variety of cereals, fresh whole fruit and breads to toast or enjoy out of the package like cinnamon buns. There is a juice machine, coffee and hot tea/hot chocolate to drink. There is an indoor pool. CONS: Being super exhausted, we were pretty frustrated at being sent upstairs to a room (203) that was not cleaned or ready. Bed linens were still rumpled and cleaning supplies were strewn throughout the room. We had to carry our bags and dogs in tow, back downstairs to be assigned to a new room. I asked the clerk if the new room (226) had the hot tub we requested and she responded with "... I think so..." She is lucky she was right. The pancake machine was broken in the dining hall for breakfast. That would've been nice. Overall the experience was fine for the price we paid. read more

We were here for family and friends weekend for Missouri SNT and stayed at this hotel as part of the discount we get as parents. The front office staff was extremely friendly and helpful at all times breakfast was nice. Room was clean. It could have used a rinse to get the hair out of the shower. Our safe did not work and the overhead light of the entrance door didn't work and neither did a lamp. It was really offputting. Was the extreme Curry smell in the hallway just took over the whole hallway smells, but we kept our door shut and tried to minimize our time in the hallway, but it was really bad and uncalled for read more

It was a good stop off for us. Staff was really nice. Beds were comfy and room clean. The furniture (chair) could use a good cleaning but tolerable. The pool area needs some attention. The tiles were coming off the edges. Breakfast was minimal. they did have sausage & gravy and "eggs". I didn't eat that. They also had a pancake maker, cereal, limited yogurt flavors, apples and toast. I just had peanut butter toast and a yogurt. It was fine. Check-in and check-out super easy and communication from hotel w/status updates is great. read more

Good enough place but.... Paid premium for room with hot tub in it. We couldn't even use it because a 1/4 of the way filling it we ran out of hot water !! The front desk told me to drain it and try again in 30 minutes !!! So while waiting we went to pool area. The pool water was really cloudy and the hot tub was empty !! After 24 agonizing minutes on the phone with a poorly trained representative who told me they would add appropriately $30 in fees to each room I decided to shop around. He told me I could not cancel because it was booked less than 24 hrs in advance. Asked to speak w his manager who told me the rooms weren't even booked yet and she said I could essentially cancel the booking. Never again. read more

Note: Before I wrote this, I sent them an email yesterday and there has been no action. Not even an apology by management, so here we are. We went there for the pool and hot tub and confirmed this b/c of grandkids when we made the reservation for two (2) nights. We weren't told the pool and hot tub were broken till we got there, but told it was being fixed. Didn't find out till next day that they had been broken for two weeks (or more). No services offered for night two. Had to dump own trash and ask for new towels. Asked several times if manager would give discount and were told they would ask several times, but no action on manager's part. We will not stay here again. read more

I usually love staying at this hotel. But my last visit here, on February 5, 2021. I woke up to bed bugs. Totally freaked me the heck out, I quickly packed my things & went to go check out. I told the front desk clerk about the bed bugs, she got super defensive & said they have never bed bugs & never will. I had pictures to back up my claim but she told me it could be anything. We have stayed in several Hotels in Rolla, our Son goes to School here. This is by far the nicest one! They are in the middle of a Renovation and they have 'Excuse Our Mess' on all of the doors. The Check-In Clerk was Becky and she was very nice and Professional. Directing me where to Park and enter to be close to our room. Our Room was a Pet Friendly one -- therefore no Carpeting. But the Flooring was a Laminate and appeared to have been newly replaced. The Floor was Gray and Black and the Black Out Curtains were Dark Blue with hints of Gray. The walls appeared to be newly painted in shades of Gold and Green. Which found a little strange. There was a Gold Wing Back Chair with a Pillow. The Bedspread was WHITE with a Gold and Rust Runner along the bottom. Absolutely NO Artwork on any of the walls. It made me think that they were still working on this room. The Fridge and Microwave were a little older with some scratches, etc. but worked just fine. The Pool was Indoors and looked AMAZING!! But Hubby doesn't swim -- so I didn't use it. Their Breakfast was Continental with the usual Cereals, Breads, Bagels, Yogurt and Fruit. They did have some Muffins that looked tasty, but I have to eat Gluten Free so most of items were off limits for me. They also had little Pancake and Waffle Makers with your choice of Regular or Blueberry Batter (which smelled really good). They had some Hot Items -- Biscuits and Gravy and Sausage Patties. Hubby said that the Gravy was pretty good! I had a Yogurt and an Apple with a glass of Orange Juice (the Juice was very diluted). They had Coffee and Hot Tea, as well. We had easy access to an area to walk our Pets and carried along our little Waste Disposal Bags. They are directly across from Bandana's BBQ -- which is an excellent place for Lunch, Dinner or Drinks. All Members of their Staff were Courteous and Helpful. The one Minus Point for me was that they charged $15 per Dog -- Totaling $30. The Check Out process went smoothly and I was given a Printed Receipt from a sweet Young Lady whose name I didn't get. Traveling cross country and stayed here in the 'Presidential Suite' Not impressed. Old and dirty. Big room, great jacuzzi tub for 2. The carpet through out the hotel is very old and dirty. These owners appear to be using it up and Not putting $ back into the place. The mattress is old the couches appear to be retro 70s and so not worth the price paid for the "Presidential Suite" Need to step up their game. read more

I am a senior citizen who after driving cross country all day November 6, 2021, arrived just before 9PM. I was assigned a room and took all my baggage in. When I went to adjust the heating unit by the window I found that the slats on the vents were covered with black mold. On closer look, I took out the slide out filter which was totally covered with thick dust and mold. I took photos (attached) and went to ask the desk clerk for another room assuming that the first one had not been used for a long time and by chance poorly cleaned or maintained. Before moving all my belongings into the second room, I asked to check it first and found the exact same situation. I am not only allergic to dust and mold, but mold is a serious health danger and against all public health code standards. I reported this to the front desk but said that I was so tired I would wash the filter out in the bathtub and clean the slats with soap and a towel. My photo shows the amount of dirt that first came off from the filter, yet the strongest flow of water could not get all the caked on dust and mold off. Neither could soap and a towel get mold off of the air slats, confirming that it wasn't just ordinary dirt but indeed MOLD! Finally the desk clerk checked a third room on an upper floor and came back with photos as bad or worse than mine. By now it was past 9PM, I needed a hotel room that allowed pets, and I was beyond exhausted. After the clerk told me which other hotels allowed pets, I found the last room available for the night in a hotel that cost me $60 more. I instantly checked the wall heating unit and found it to be immaculately clean and having no trace of mold so the explanation given me at The Pear Tree Inn, Baymont in Rolla that the dust and mold were due to the weather or climate was inexcusable! I wrote and complained to the owner/manager of the Baymont requesting they pay for the difference in price of the room I was forced to take, or even for the room itself considering the huge inconvenience and the fact that their rooms violated health code, but I never even received a reply. I am in the process of writing to the health department in MO and Wyndham hotels. I am sure that Wyndham would not want their name associated with such a poorly managed, poorly cleaned and health risk hotel. read more

We stayed here five days, in search of home. The employees were fantastic. They were enthusiastic and pleasant without being falsely so or overbearing. A great surprise. After the breakfast bar was closed for the day, I could get apples, mild, yogurt, and coffee 24/7. I loved this. The only negative is the "fitness center". This is a remodeled closet with a typically hotelish treadmill, stationary bike and climber. This was disappointing, but you can never have everything in a small hotel. read more

This place is great~! They have an indoor pool and you can get woken up at 6am by 3 random cheerleaders looking for their friend.. Then at 6:30am a tall man with a really big Great Dane might knock on your door looking for some cheerleaders~! Please DO NOT book this hotel. I was moved THREE different times. The first room had never been cleaned. It still had dirty towels in the room and there were pills on the floor!! I had my two year old daughter with me and she was playing on the floor when I found them. To top it off, once moved my second room HAD BED BUGS!!!!!!!! After the last stay, at another Baymont Inn, this one seems like a luxury inn. The staff are American locals with The same accent as me. The room is really an accessible room with a walk in shower and a toilet that is handicap height. The breakfast, on a weekday, consists of all the standard pastries, cereals and breads plus scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy. The only drawback on this place is the bed in the accessible room is still too tall for a person with limited mobility to get into without some difficulty. read more

This is an older hotel, but it is clean and comfortable, and the staff is excellent. One of the other reviews indicated his room was not clean at check-in, my guess is that this was an unfortunate oversight. I checked in without reservations and requested a specific room, the manager physically checked it was ready before checking me in early. Once again, this is an older property, but the staff cares and the initial build out was good. The hot tub rooms are good as well. The beds suit me, the sheets are soft and clean. For Rolla, this is a good place and has better and surer service than some other properties in town. I stay here each time I come to town. read more

Upon check in with an older blonde lady was rude and and continued to be that way even when we checked out. We had two more bags left in our room and it was 10 min past check out and it was raining outside and our trailer was giving us problems so I had my three little kiddos in there while breast feeding waiting for my husband to fix the trailer and get the remaining bags and she walks in saying this room needs to be cleaned we have people coming in at 3 . I told her sorry we are just waiting on my husband fixing the trailer and we will get out of your hair in one minute, she then told me we have five minutes to leave and then told my dog to get out of the way so she could close the door very rudely. Talk about feeling not welcomed. The cleaning people cleaned our room twice while there the first time they cleaned they didn't even touch the beds and the second time they cleaned they didn't even change the beds sheets my baby's pee stain was still there on the sheets and still wet. I give this place one star because my toddles loved the pool with floaties in it and all. We will never come here again. Please steer clear of the place! read more

We traveled with and 8 year old and an infant and felt this hotel was perfect for our two night stay. The pool area was large and clean. My husband and daughter loved the fresh baked cookies every night at the front desk. The breakfast was perfect! Paper thin walls compounded by the sound of every door slamming loudly could not over power the roaring of the highway all night long . Located directly next to the highway the continual semi traffic was unbearable . Due to the location of the hotel being on a steep grade , the "jake brakes" of the never ending semis continues all night . Although the staff was exceptionally nice, the room was clean and the bed comfortable I found myself staring at the clock till 2am because of the road noise and snoring heard through the seemingly non existent walls . Not a bad place. Smelled clean when we walked in which I liked. Carpet was old and a little dirty but sheets/bed and shower was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. Pretty nice hotel for the price. And they accept dogs which was a huge plus! Most hotels that we've been to that accept dogs are usually a little run down or gross! Had that issue on the way to our destination!! Pretty interesting place!! Large lake out back to walk around- very nice for walking a dog. When we arrived the people seemed sort of scary- seems to be common in middle America. Our room really smelled like cigarettes upon entering but the front desk lady immediately apologized and offered to change the room. We were too tired and refused it so she gave us some room spray. I stayed here last night on the last leg of a vacation. I reserved the Presidential sweet which at first was very nice......I was disappointed to find out the balcony wasn't outside but overlooking the indoor pool which is 24 hours. The walls are very thin and the bed was against the wall with the pool. You could hear everything and it made for a crappy night of sleep! When I addressed my concerns to the front desk all the girl could say was that most people pay more for the balcony over the pool....well I dont know about everyone else but I paid more for a nice bed and a good night sleep before my long drive home! We booked this room through the flyers you get on the side of the highway, coast-to-coast road trip with my mom and this was the first place we stayed at on our trip. EXCELLENT! breakfast was amazing. the attendant to the breakfast even went the extra step to find the yogurt that my mother could have to fit her diet (it was buried in the back of the fridge). pool was amazing! Great and clean room. If you're on the road and need a break, pull over. You can walk to the Bandana BarBQ next door and get some great service and have an awesome pitstop with great food. read more

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Customer service was very good, free breakfast was very good, and the view of the pond/lake in the back was a nice surprise. Additionally for those runners out there, there is a 1/3 mile (approximate) running track around this pond/lake behind the hotel. Very convenient if you don't want to workout in the hotel. Nice hot tub and pool. Only issue was that internet was not good in my section of the hotel. I notified the staff and they gave me a discount on my room. For those passing through I can say the city there is good as well. It appears to be a college town and has lots of food choice options. I travel over 150+ days a year and I was not impressed at all. The hotel had a old smell, my towels felt like my shop rags, my pillow case was stained brown and breakfast wasn't up to par. I was ready to love this motel, but the experience left me cold. The check-in was wonderful and the people were fine. The room, on the other hand, had been smoked-in, the window was open to the weather, and nothing in the room seemed prepared for guests. The shower ran out of hot water after two minutes of flow, and the room door was loose in its frame, leading to overnight banging as a storm system rolled through. The A/C unit was filthy. The parking lot high intensity lights shined in through the third floor window, even with the blind drawn. The complimentary breakfast was the usual addled eggs, on-site waffles, and a hot pot of indifferent bacon - no fresh fruit, or alternative toast, or other offerings. The hotel is far down the row of the service drive from the expressway, which would be OK if it offered more of a prize to the traveller. Wonderful stay. Had to stop short in my travels due to a winter storm & elected to stay here as they were pet friendly. Room & bathroom were very clean. Bed was very comfortable. All the staff was very upbeat & pleasant. I was offered to park my Jeep & Uhaul trailer right in front parallel to front doors and I was told they'd 'keep an eye on it' Typical free breakfast fare. Rooms were clean, view of lake was great, bed was very comfortable, breakfast was good. However, the pool and hot tub were both closed while we were there and that was half the reason we picked this hotel.
