Just passing through.... I am a Hilton Honors member and prefer to stay with them when I'm away from home. The hotel felt newly renovated with a stylish comfortable lobby area. The young gentleman working the front desk when I checked in was courteous and helpful getting me settled in. I booked a king room with a study. The room was large enough so I didn't feel cramped and crowded. I could spread out and get some work done. The room felt modern, the linens were comfortable and clean. The bathroom was pretty standard. My only complaint about my visit was the water pressure. I love a good hot shower. I tried different settings on the shower head but was disappointed. They offer breakfast and have a very nice selection. There are standard cold items fruit, cereal, yogurt, etc. there was a waffle station and meat and eggs. The coffee was the perfect compliment to my meal. I will be traveling this way again soon. I will be back soon. read more

In the competition of roadside hotel stops along our long journey from San Diego to Chicago, the Hampton Inn in Rolla, MO is surprisingly comfortable, clean and pretty decent. My bar was a bit low when booking this particular hotel prior to our departure. Rolla is a mining area and not really a bustling spot for regular travelers like myself otherwise. Parked directly between Springfield and St. Louis though, it was going to be the ideal spot for us to wrap up 10 hours of driving that day. This Hampton Inn seemed to be the best option in the area. Clearly the most expensive hotel for Rolla, it appeared other options had exceptionally bad ratings or were super cheep road side rooms. Traveling with one other female, a kid and a dog, we booked the Hampton Inn because: 1) it would take a pet ($75 pet fee) 2) it had a frig in the room 3) assumed better safety based on hotel brand name 4) no other known option in my opinion I felt comfortable booking Small, friendly, easy, relatively clean, I found this Hampton Inn just fine. It includes breakfast every morning in addition to two bottles of water in the room. Priced a touch high for area, but not really though for being the best option in area and safety in the Hilton branded Hampton name. Carson who checked us in was friendly, welcoming and explained all we needed to know. Thanks Carson for the hospitality. No USB port options in room, which was my only noticeable con observation. The bathroom could use a little update, maybe some sanding down of the paint on the vanity that was pealing away specifically, but was clean, with plenty of towels and bottled pump shampoo/conditioner/body wash in shower. It was ok. It had a clock, when many hotels are doing away with these in today's world. With 4am wake up times, best to have options for alarms. Although we arrived late, I believe it also serves an easy dinner in the same area as they serve breakfast. Pictures look like maybe a simply pasta, some breads, etc. Don't let my 3 be a discouraging rating. It means to me OK good, not OK bad. read more

The place was nice, clean, breakfast was just as good as any Hampton. There was one problem, and I hesitate to review this, but it's the reason why we won't go back, or stop in Rolla ever. When my wife took a shower that night, someone tried getting into my room(grabbed the handle and tried to open). It was fairly loud, but didn't bother me at all. read more

Our go to Hotel chain and once again they did not disappoint, upon checking in we were informed Colton steak house had delivered a complimentary dinner, which was delicious. Consider there if you need dinner! The Hotel staff is always wonderful, the room was updated and pleasant nice and clean, the breakfast was pretty good too with plenty of options from waffles, to yogurt and cereal as well as hot options- oatmeal, eggs and potatoes and kielbasa. We had stopped in for the night. The check in was more then helpful. The morning checking out. Was a different experience!! The staff needs to understand that some people can really Sick from Eating Meat !! We asked one of your people in the kitchen to make sure that there was NO MEAT In The Omelette!! She said No ! No Meat. We told her we were vegetarian . she said( I can relate ) Thinking ok ,. Maybe she was a vegetarian herself. Then we explained to the front desk that John had to go upstairs to Vomit. The other coworker confirmed that there was meat in it.. then as we were walking out, we're being mocked by the girl behind the counter, saying that she was a carnivore. We haven't eaten meat over five years. It makes us violently Sick!! We suggest you ask your coworkers before answering . Before going ahead and saying NO ,(No Meat). Check with your other coworker. ) The kitchen should know what is in their food before letting others get sick. Then have to travel. it's not a joke and it felt like one . when we walked out. Pros and cons: Front desk was very helpful and very kind. the rooms are decent for a night and much better than the hallways look so don't be fooled, with that said I still feel like there is room for lots of improvement in the remodeling which would make it be and feel cleaner especially at $200+ a room. The breakfast is early at 6am and good, this hotel is not gross in a way you wouldn't be able to stay in it, but the semi outdated atmosphere and certain cleanliness factors didn't match the price point imo. It looks like an older hotel they partially remodeled to clean it up a bit but didn't do a complete overhaul. Overall Staff was amazing and I think it is a mid range hotel that gets the job done and worth it if needed and definitely in comparison to most of the other hotels in town. We booked this room mainly to sleep after so either day on the water. The queen size beds we booked were actually full size beds, I know because I sleep on a queen, the beds are also hard as a rock. Needless to say we didn't get much sleep. The only reason this is not a 1 star review is breakfast. So many places do not offer a hot breakfast any more, but Hampton Inn does. They have make your own waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, bagels, toast, muffins, cereal, pretty much anything someone would like any for breakfast, for that, I'll give 3 stars! read more

Everything was really easy here! We arrived late to Rolla and were able to easily check in around 12 AM. we also had to leave early around 4 AM and we just dropped off our keys in a bowl they set out and left. The breakfast was great and had self-service waffles to bacon and eggs. We were not able to make it to dinner but they did say they had it from 5 to 7pm. my only critique of this business is that it is becoming outdated and it could use some touchups in the rooms. For the price, the rooms ($200 plus tax), are very outdated. We stayed in room 226 and it hadn't been dusted in ages. The furniture was covered in dust. Good thing I had Clorox wipes with me. I wiped down every frequently touched surface. The wipe was dirty when I finished. Some towels were threadbare The tub stopper didn't work. I pass thru this town 2-3 times a year. I won't stay again. I did talk to the front desk clerk about it and she just said "sorry about that, have a good day". She didn't write a note or seem concerned at all. I should have known there was little attention to detail when we arrived and the outside trash can was overflowing. Need more staff maybe? Or training? Also the outside sign had burned out letter lights. The sign says "Hampto_ I__". lol read more

I originally was going for a two star but Dillion the front desk was very nice and helpful during my 6 day stay. When I checked in around 11:30 pm on Sunday, I was assigned a room on the second floor but I asked to stay on the third floor instead. Wendy the night front desk that night told me that they are using a blue sticker seal to indicate that the rooms been clean. When I got to my room, the first thing I notice was that the sink was disgusting. It has hair on the sink and the tub! I went down to switch room and Wendy inform me that the room I gave up is now unavailable. Seriously?!?!? It's midnight and it took me about 20 min to walk down and you told me my original room you assign me is now not available? Wendy told me the only thing that is available is a double. The hotel is not packed so don't give me the excuses that you don't have anymore king room left. As I got into my room, I notice the table the tv sits on is dusty and the restroom didn't have any extra toilet tissue since it seems they are using an old roll for their next customers! At this time I'm too tired from all the traveling that I just want to take a bath and head to bed. I dropped my car keys on the floor and when I bend down to grab it, I notice an empty drinking bottle and a cracker was left on one side of the bed. The room had a seal to the door so how can you say two rooms that I went into is clean! Next morning I was expecting Wendy was still at the front desk but I'm glad it's someone else. She credited my first night and asked if I want to move but I didn't have time since I was on my way to work. I end up staying in the room for the duration of my stay. I understand about lack of housekeeping due to Covid but don't be putting the sticker label on the door to indicate it's clean when it's not. Breakfast was very basic, cold cereal, muffins, yogurt, smoothie and they rotate microwave pizzas and corn dog. The pool and gym is open. read more

Rolla Missouri has a limited number of hotels that I will stay at. My favorite in Rolla is the Hampton Inn. Just to set the record straight, there are not lots of frills at any of the hotels around Rolla... no lobby bars or lounges, no fancy sport courts or recreational facilities, just a normal motel. The Hampton Inn is a smaller three story Hilton brand hotel, with an efficient lobby and small but pleasant breakfast area. Since the Hampton is located on Route 63, which has many trucks growing at night, I would recommend requesting a room in the rear of the hotel. These are much quieter than those facing the road. They do have an indoor pool and a small fitness room. This hotel tends to get booked up quickly for special events at the the Missouri University of Science and Technology, so book early! I have always enjoyed my stays here, it is not a new hotel but is current to today's standards. These lady who staffs the morning breakfast does a good job keeping everything filled and clean. They also have some snack mix and goldfish available along with fresh fruit every afternoon and evening in the breakfast area for your enjoyment. read more

What a wonderful little Hampton Inn in Rolla, MO! We checked in on the app and used the key on the app. Pretty cool stuff and super easy, it was our first time trying it. Our room was clean and nice. We checked out at 4:30am because we had to be back in Oklahoma by 11am for a meeting. The lady at the front desk was the seriously the sweetest. She took out food for us to have breakfast before we left even though breakfast didn't start until 6am. We're definitely staying here for every Rolla visit. read more

I initially had an issue booking this location through a third party site. My transaction went through for the wrong date, and there was no availability for the actual date that I needed to stay in Rolla. Management reached out and offered to refund my transaction to correct the situation, even though they were under no obligation to do so by the terms set by the third party. When I checked into this hotel I was going through a very difficult point in my life and was emotionally distraught at the front desk. A gentleman named Dylan helped me check in and made me feel the most comfort a hotel clerk ever has. As I was crying telling him I needed a room he comforted me with kind life advice. The quality of Hampton Inns has dropped considerably over the years. Our current stay required a move from our assigned room to another room. Why? Water damage in the ceiling and window which was creating mold and smells in the room. Since I am allergic to mold, this was an intolerable situation. This hotel is also understaffed. Having only one person on duty while guests are checking in is an incredible oversight on their part. If you have to request help with a problem in your room, you are told that they have 5 other things going at the time. So much for customer service. Hampton Inn is no longer worthy of the higher prices that they charge in comparison to competitors. Recommend avoiding their hotels until they fix obvious problems in their customer service and facilities. read more

Clean, friendly, and pretty decent. The room was clean and comfortable and the AC worked like a champ in the middle of the July heat. The bed was comfortable. Priceline and travelocity give it 2.5 stars, but its better than that. The continental breakfast was ok....avoid the biscuits and gravy. Waffles were good. Stayed here last weekend with about half of a robotics team. Many of the others stayed at the nearby Holiday Inn Express. We ended up hanging around the Hampton because there's a nice long table for kids to play board games & talk. When I took a few of the kids back to the Holiday Inn Express they said, "The Hampton is a lot better." There's no higher praise than teenagers expressing honest opinions! Breakfast egg omelets looked lame but were tasty. Scrambled eggs were meh. Breakfast area was open 24/7 so the kids grabbed the occasional Froot Loop while playing games. On our way from IL to TX and this is the first hotel chain that we saw from exit when we decided to stop for a night in MO. We have no reservation but luckily they have rooms available. The staff who checked us in was very nice and friendly. Check in and lobby area are big and modern. Right away we could see a beverage table and snack/breakfast area. Plus point for us !! Looks like the hotel maintain to keep beverage table and snack bar fresh. Our room is on 2nd floor - nice and big that we could actually put our 2 road bikes in the room and still have plenty of room to move around. Room has microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, ice bucket. I have no issue with the bathroom. It's standard with all those little things they provide. One think I like is that the sink is pretty high. Good for tall people. Right away our phones connect automatically to ATT wifi with no problem. So I cannot say if non ATT users will still get free wifi. Overall looks like are going to enjoy our stay here read more

Stayed for two nights over Memorial Day weekend. As a diamond hilton member this was the worst experience I have had in a Hilton property. Room not cleaned and they called in the house keeping supervisor to clean room. After an hour wait, he arrived and cleaned the room. Never did anyone offer a credit or a different room. When I asked about Hilton's promise I was given a credit for one night. Okay I'll take that. However, the credit has not happened and now I am contacting Hilton to intervene. When I call the hotel I am assured that they have done the credit. I would not stay at this hotel again. Poor customer service. By no means would I say they hold the Hilton promise. read more
