The doors are heavy and solid, and I didn't hear a peep of noise at night. The bathroom had a large walk in shower, and everything was fresh and clean. There are a few trails in the state park also. I've probably been there 10 times over the past 20 years. Prior to Echo Bluff being built, we stayed at various places in Eminence (Rivers Edge, various B&Bs). The accommodations were always Spartan and it was almost impossible to find any restaurants that offered anything more than "Fried something" or hamburgers. All that has changed with Echo Bluff State Park Lodge. The Lodge has accommodations that are orders of magnitude better than what can be found in Eminence and the on-site restaurant has really good food and a menu that is large enough that one could eat several different meals at the Lodge without having to repeat and entree. There is a beautiful creek behind the lodge (about 150 yards) that you can put your lawn chair in, sit back and enjoy the cool stream water and the absolutely gorgeous view of the Bluff.

All the buildings had a musty smell. we were having a reunion here and I drove three other people or I would have left the next morning. happy Hour didn't have a bar tender. the food was meh. All that would have been no big deal, but there is no way around biotoxin illness from mold. Everyone in the cabin left sick. We were offered a different cabin but they all stunk! The real kicker? I was offered $25 off my entire bill which is a slap in the face for what we endured. STAY AWAY from this pace for your health!

We've never had an issue with noise or an insufficient amount of pillows/towels. Parking is plentiful. The 1st floor rooms are accessed from the outside. Elevator always works and is sizable. There is only 1 luggage cart, but I'm guessing people who are staying at a Super 8 aren't bringing multiple suitcases. Price is reasonable for what you get ($99-120 depending on where you book; we pay $99 on Expedia in the summer months).
