Check in clerk friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. TV and AC worked well. Shower had plenty of hot water. Fridge, microwave worked well. Lots of lamps with outlets. Pet friendly rooms are limited. $20 pet fee very reasonable. Con~Only one small place to walk the dog and it was located pretty far from the room. Breakfast just so-so. This place is tired looking and needs some minor repairs-lampshade, drapes, new shower head. The only plug in bathroom was for the hairdryer and socket was too big for any of our appliances. There were bugs in the bathroom (ewww) so it needs exterminator! Used points so rate was reasonable but we would probably not stay here again. read more

UPDATE (visited OCT2018): Yes, came back for the sake of saving money; instant regret. Gross washcloth (see photo) that should never be part of the linens, noisy bed spring that will keep anyone from sleeping or even sitting on the bed, the bath is either a fixer-upper or is mid-remodel. Cleaner/soap slime on shower wall created a very disgusting slip hazard. And thank you for installing an ice machine that constantly beep; annoying AF. Still crappy breakfast. It's a shame that the front desk folks are so terrific. It must be hard to polish this turd. The continental breakfast was awful. There was no 'Do Not Disturb' sign for our room, and the front desk didn't have any, either. Overall it was a bit disappointing, particularly when I've gone to terrific Best Western locations. The pool was drained - understandable for the season - and clearly needed a lot of work. There's not much else to say. read more

Not the best motel I've ever stayed in, but it gets the job done. It's really close to the highway, so it's an easy on/off and they're pet friendly! (They have specific dog friendly rooms with non-carpeted floors, so call ahead). The rooms feel a bit worn, but with a trendy appearance....the bathrooms could really use some love. They're a bit yellow and several of my towels were dirty/stained. They have plenty of pillows, a mini fridge, and a microwaves though. PSA: The coke machine takes your money and gives you less money back (and no soda) ... kind like playing a slot machine but without the fun part. read more

My husband and I wanted to stay here we live half an hour away due to a concert and did not want to drive home. Booked our room but no one informed us they have a local fee of $250 until we showed up. This is in case we are drug dealers or having a party. The manager Joe put notes in that he called us but there was no missed call or voice mail left so he blatantly lied to us and his clerk Lisa. Highly disappointed in this place even though we live two towns over the rudeness and disregard for our well being and safety is completely unacceptable. If you're planning on stopping here for a good night sleep, keep driving. I'm not sure what kept waking up, multiple times. It was between the motorcycles ( about six of them ) outside my door, the very thin walls ( hearing luggage rolling across the floor over me ), the room air conditioner ( loud rattling noise when it runs ), or the conversations in other rooms on both sides of me. I hate night driving, or else I would just leave but instead I'm laying in bed writing this review. Paid $100 for a night of nose. Also Looking at the photos , I had to go outside to make sure I was at the right place. All I can say is the only thing that looks accurate is the address. Traveling from AZ to Ohio with our dog, Missouri was a stopping/resting point for us. The Hotel clerk as abrupt and short with me. After driving 12hrs a little kindness would have gone a long way. She questioned me twice if I had one dog or two. I had one and stated so when I called for the reservation. Upon entering our hotel room I thought great they have vinyl floor for ease of cleaning when travelers have a dog. This room had such a strong odor of dog pee it was disgusting. Very dirty room/floor, I would never recommend staying there. read more

Me and my wife are looking for a local hotel next to Tater Patch because there was a live band there tonight and we wanted to have a couple cocktails and not have to get a ride all the way back to Cuba. Once we got there, I went to check in, and the lady said you needed to give them 250 extra dollars on top of your room in case you're a drug dealer or you party. I said, "Are you kidding me and she said no, all locals have to pay a $250 deposit. Then Lisa said in the notes it says that the manager called. I showed her my phone and there were no calls from them. I said I did not get a call, and she said my manager called you, and he doesn't lie. So, pretty much she was calling me a liar, and I had no missed call or voicemail from them. She didn't hand me my card and ID back and says, "Why don't you just cancel then?" I said I wanted to speak with your manager about this situation because he never called me or notified me. She wouldn't give me his name until she finally called him. Then Joe got on the phone and said he called me, which is a complete lie. After all this, they pretty much said to get out of here and go somewhere else. I'm 40 years old and don't look anything like a drug dealer and a little too old to have a hotel party, hahaha. This hotel and best Western as a whole will never get my business again, and we go out almost twice a month.... SMH. read more

Check in was a night mare. Charged me extra to check in before 3 when we had drove all night to get here for a military graduation. The website says 24 hours check in so after threatening to go somewhere else he said I could check in for 20$ charge but he "only had a top floor room". So I said yes. THERE WAS MAYBE 5 people staying there and we were all bundled together. WILL NOT BE BACK and probably never stay with best western again. 6th night of eastbound Route 66 trip, didn't feel like continuing on to St. Louis so decided to stop here for the night. This is a motel style and we were able to park in front of our room, which was right around the corner from the lobby, super convenient! I did hear another t.v. briefly but other than that it was pretty quiet. Tiny bathroom but room was typical size of most BW locations. Glad we found this hotel, as all the hotels were booked in Springfield, our intended stop. Employees in the office were so kind, offering suggestions for take-out food and giving us a room where we could park right outside the door. I don't know what it is about this place called Rolla but it has some sort of magnet for travelers moving across the Ozarks along Hwy 44. We don't plan to stop here but for some reason we almost always end up here when we travel this way. A relative recently called me from his hotel for the night and I asked him where he stopped. Sure enough Rolla! and at the Best Western! Why is that? I don't know but we have had some nice nights here. It has always been clean, well priced and quiet. read more

In need of some help. Room smelled like mold was damp feeling. Other wise ok. Felt like a 50 dollar room for twice that amount.

Newly remodeled- or at least it looks like it! Conveniently located right off of the highway. When we first checked in, as we were waiting to get our room key, we had some concerns because another guest came to the front desk complaining that they had no water/no hot water. He said his wife was basically standing in the shower with soap on her and could not rinse off. We wondered if we would have the same problem. We got to our room, (exterior entrances) and the room seemed to be newly updated. Fresh carpet fresh bedding, everything looked to be clean and newer. There were microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms, and it even had a small closet instead of just a wardrobe rod as you find in most lower end motels. The bed and pillows were surprisingly comfortable, and we had no issue with hot water, or water pressure. The room was clean and everything worked well. For the price, $90 with AAA, we felt the breakfast could've been a little higher standard for a motel. Overall, we would stay here again. read more

I was moving from Texas to Michigan. I had been driving for almost 10 hours and I was so exhausted so I stopped here just to get a few hours sleep and shower. Immediately when I walked in the smell of mildew was so disgusting!! I tried to take a shower only to have no hot water, so I took a cold shower. This is how tired I was. I checked in super late. Like 2am or so. Starting at 8:00am the staff kept opening up my door. I'm not sure if they even knew anyone was in there. This happened 3 times from 8:00am to about 11:00am. Needless to say I hardly got any sleep. I hit snooze on my alarm and woke up past check out time by 30 minutes. I got to the office to check out and the guy tells me he has to charge me an extra day!!!!! I didn't even stay 1 day! Most horrible experience I ever had at a hotel. I have tried disputing the charge but unfortunately they will not budge on this. Last time I ever stay at a Best Western. What a rip off!!! read more

UPDATE: I will give credit where credit is due. We were 50 miles East and realized we left our cooler bag in the mini fridge. I called the hotel and had to call back in 10 minutes for them to check. When I called back, they found the bag and we turned around and picked it up, with water and apple juice inside. They are honest and I have to give them a star for that; plus the front desk gave us $10 off for the not so clean room. My 2 star is now a 3 star; plus they are in the process of renovation. Not one of the best Best Westerns. Front desk clerk was nice, and the free continental breakfast was good. The room itself was a sham for $110/night. For a non smoking room, it smelled like smoke, the bathroom door was very hard to shut, and if you get it shut, good luck getting out. Our first room, the bathroom lights and vanity are were out. We changed room, but compare to the Best Western in Edmond, OK, this hotel is not up to par at all. Never again will I stay at this hotel. read more

This hotel advertises itself as Pet-Friendly but it is not. Their rates for 2bed queen room are on the website as $89 for regular room with all the amenities or $89 for pet room with all the amenities, nowhere on the site does it say BUT YOUR PET WILL COST EXTRA. I even called the front desk clerk and asked about my dog and was not told it was extra. I am not opposed to paying for my dog in the room, but feel this was truly false advertising. Definitely a difference between a "pet-friendly" hotel and "pets accepted" hotel.The manager, Mike, refused to discuss the website marketing confusion or a refund. Worthless. I work in the hospitality business and i never would of treat one of my guest the way that this hotel did. The staff Carryann, Robert and Rose were so unprofessional rude and treated me and my family like burdens. I ask for an extra blanket and was told that she was not allowed to give me one so i ask for a extra sheet for my 7 yrs old because we forgot his blanket. I was giving a fitted sheet. Next one of my rooms had mold all over the celling they did move my room, to another moldy room! When i asked if they had a non moldy room I was told no we already moved you. So disappointed in the Best Western. They made me count my towels in front of two different staff members before i could get new clean towels! When i checked out the next morning i had a charge of 180. I called and y told me it was for towels. I couldn't believe my ears. Trying to get a manger on he phone was a joke! Do Not Stay If you Want good service and clean rooms. This location is not it! read more

I stayed here for two nights and we had an encounter with the owner outside, we parked right next to the owners car and he made us move because he thought we were gonna hit his car but it was him that was parked wrong. He was disrespectful towards me and my family. Definitely won't be returning again. read more

Sounds like other guests had bad experience here, but I found nothing worth to complain. The room was very clean. Some green cover sheets on the beds added a friendly touch. Clever idea: a multiple-outlet (3) power strip fixed to the table in the room also had two USB outlets to charge for example a mobile phone. The room was really quiet, which I did not expect as the hotel is just off interstate 44. Surely the hotel building and some of it's interior is dated, but my impression was, that the people running it try to make an effort to make it a good place to stay despite this fact. Needless to say that all members of staff I met had been very friendly. I slept well here and was satisfied with my stay. As the rate wasn't high, I think I got good value for the money payed. However, the hotel is average by comparison, hence I give it 3 out of 5 stars. Would give 3.5 stars if I could. read more

I was really looking forward to this hotel because of the other reviews but I ended up being super disappointed!! We booked our room a week in advance for 6 people, but no one bothered to give us pillows for the sofa bed which was obviously going to be used for 2 of the 6. When we asked for some, we were told that they were all out and to use the decorative throw pillows to sleep on (which our room didn't have). I was also extremely disgusted to see that the sheets had very obviously not been changed. We pulled out the sofa bed and found blood on the sheets along with the previous guests chapstick. The two queen beds were also quite possibly the most uncomfortable hotel beds I've slept in. It felt like we were just sleeping on a box spring. I was expecting a lot cleaner/ more comfortable of a place for $150 a night and definitely think that next time I will take my money elsewhere. read more

Had a great experience here. The staff was really helpful, they even mailed us the jewelry my girlfriend left in our room. The room wasn't luxurious but was clean and comfortable, it's a Best Western. One thing I loved is that the vending machines are cheaper than getting snacks in the store. We were traveling from a tour at University of Arkansas heading back home to Chicago. This was our 3rd Best Western on our trip and the worst. My husband is a Diamond Elite rewards member so we stay at many Best Westerns. We liked the fact that you have your own outside entrance to your room. Upon walking into the room it reeked of cigarette smoke After being in the room awhile we just got used to it. It seems the rooms have been recently remodeled so carpet, flooring and furniture was nice. The bed scarves (decorative material draped over foot of bed) were covered with stains. I immediately removed them and threw them on the floor. The soap dish at the sink was still dirty from previous guest(s). Besides that the rest of the room seemed clean. Beds were comfy enough. The next morning we went to the free breakfast. It was the worst we have ever had at a Best Western. And my husband eats them daily while traveling for work! Apple juice came out as water (actual water), sausage links were decent, sausage gravy was gross, scrambled eggs were rubbery and inedible. Fried potatoes were raw and cold, inedible. Pancakes were chewy, rubbery and inedible. We never go to these free breakfasts with high expectations, however we hope that the food is at least fully cooked and edible! Also, they always have a breakfast attendant coming in and out replenishing food. I never saw anyone. And I have to say, we have been to many a BW that offer a wonderful breakfast spread! Lastly, after not being able to eat anything there (except for a banana) I realized that I left all of our food in fridge in our room. I was happy because I had yogurts and fruit that I could eat. We had already packed everything else in the car but hadn't checked out yet and still had the key cards. I went back to the room used my key to unlock the door only to discover that the security latch at the very top was locked!!! To my knowledge that can only be done by a person who is in the room!! I knocked and with door slightly open I said "Hello?" several times. No answer. I told my husband (who was waiting impatiently in the car and who was very irritated about the awful breakfast). I went to the desk and told the guy. He said he wasn't actually the desk guy. He pulls out a plastic bin filled with what looked to be a bunch of cords and dig through it (I assume looking for a tool to try to open the door?) I knew this wasn't looking good and my husband would lose his sh** if he had to wait a long time for this guy to try to get into our room to reclaim our bag of beef sticks, cheese sticks, fruits and yogurt cups!!! Lol So I said "Never mind.....my husband won't wait for this" So we left. My husband told me when he and our daughter's left the room there was an older man that worked there pushing a laundry tub. I can only assume that he went into our room while we were at breakfast (and was maybe in the bathroom) which is extremely creepy because we hadn't checked out yet, still had the keys and were in the hotel trying to eat breakfast! I do feel the need to add this, shortly after we checked into our room the lady at the desk called to see if everything was okay and to see if we needed anything. I said "We are fine. Thank you for asking" That was my opportunity to complain about cigarette smoke odor, dirty bed scarves and soap dish but I knew my husband didn't want me to so I just decided to deal with it. At that time she most likely would've tried to accommodate us, however we did not even give her the opportunity to....so that is on us. read more

Right off the highway. Big parking lot. The gentleman at the front desk was very professional & informative. Informed me about the washer & dryer too, which was great since I had already been on the road for a week ( ice machine & beverage vending machine are also in the laundry room ). It was only $2.50 or $3.00 for a load of laundry - do it yourself. There are restaurants within walking distance. Room was clean & quiet, had all the amenities. Wifi was difficult in the room, so I couldn't go on my laptop. Comfy beds. The complimentary breakfast was excellent! I went in as it was about to close ( 6 - 9 am ) & they had everything you could ask for & it was still hot & delicious. Plus, the big screen TV / weather channel was on, which is helpful for travelers ( especially when there is rain, road closures & floods to deal with in the area ). $94 rate ( including taxes ). We arrived around midnight. Room smelled funny but we were tired and just wanted to sleep. Took our luggage to the room and fell right into bed. Got up the next morning and turned on the light to discover a dead spider in one of the beds and both beds had live bed bugs crawling around in them. There were black spots (100 at least all over the sheets on both beds and one of the pillow cases). Killed some bed bugs which then smeared blood on the sheets, called front desk and young girl came to the room and we showed her the filthy sheets on both beds and the dead spider, the live and dead bed bugs and she said she had never seen anything like it ever before. Told her we were not paying for the room and she agreed. She said the Manager wasn't there. We went to the front desk to get our receipt showing we owed nothing and asked for the Managers business card. Manager has never called us. If I could give this hotel negative stars I would. We will never stay there again. I sent an email this evening to the health department reporting them. read more
