Trees blocking views

CONCERT REVIEW Bayfront park is a large park with beautiful views in a very congested area of Miami. I snagged tickets for Rufus Du sol and was looking forward to the experience. I expected a pit, seated area, and a sloped general admission. I arrived to find a flat one level GA area. Bottom line- if the show you are going to will be a crowded sold out show- enjoy your time elsewhere at a venue that offers seating or has some elevation or you won't see a thing. Getting there-- I took the Brightline which as most brightlines are located in the hood and far walk from venue. I jumped on the mover and I may have gotten off the wrong stop further down as the way the setup was with fenced in area had the entrance blocked up and it was a far walk up the fence, to the entrance, and the grass to enter. My friends were in a 2 hour uber ride from Sunrise (granted it was f1 and Rufus du sol and many other events). Getting in-- The line was moving quickly with checking IDs and handing wristbands so the logistics weren't bad at all. I ventured to the stage and by that time, my feet hurt. I was right behind the pit but with people saving spots and sitting down, it was chaotic. Food/drink-- The venue was large with many options for drinks, with lines moving quickly. I had a few drinks, first experience in them asking if I wanted a double and second experience, giving and charging without asking. I also ordered French fries which were absolutely inedible, hard, old, stale, and with a nice small maybe nose or eyelash hair in them. Restrooms-- The port a potties were set up on each side of stage and using them prior to concert start, there was not a line at all. I did expect with the frequency of events that they'd have more of a trailer set up or restrooms, not port a potties but when I did use them, the line moved quickly so decent set up. Overall experience-- my feet hurt 45 mins in after the walk to the venue and getting in and attending a sold out GA show with no option to sit, sucked. We decided to move all the way to the back for better view and I could not see a thing. The venue also has poles and huge set up in the middle and trees that block views. My friends went to the Tampa show and had a better experience. From being so amped about this show being at bayfront and the experience overlooking Miami just wasn't the experience I expected. I just bought tickets to travel to see Rufus elsewhere as I couldn't help but think how much more enjoyable it would be if there was a seated or elevated area to actually enjoy the show. I would definitely think twice about seeing any artists at bayfront unless it's actually at the amphitheater.

This is a great place to go for a walk near the cruise port in downtown Miami. I'm not sure if I would walk here at night but during the morning and daytime it was great.

Nice park but difficult to get to. We went for Miami Eeeeeatscon and had a blast. The only issue was the Uber driver dropped us off at the other side of the park according to the address we provided, which was opposite to the entrance.

Bayfront Park sits right on the edge of Miami next to Biscayne Park and was originally called Royal Palm Park. There are great views of the bay and the many cruise ships that dock there and pass by. They have an amphitheater for outdoor concerts, grassy areas and benches for gatherings, free yoga classes, a kids playground, and other entertainment events. You can see the observation wheel from the park and is conveniently next to downtown Miami which makes this park very central and closeby no matter what you're doing.

What a nice waterfront park in Miami! We saw manatees here as well as the new year's fireworks! It's pretty magical once transformed at night by holiday lights and light installations. There was also a live concert going on for New Year's Eve. The park is beautiful both day and night, and there are restaurants scattered throughout. A draw back (the reason why it's not five stars) is that the beautiful waterfront is mostly blocked. Bad design! You'd have to walk away from water (when the whole point of a waterfront park should be to preserve the waterfront for biking, jogging, walking, etc). There is even a stop for the Metrorail. Very nice.

Don't know where to go in Miami. Let me tell you this is the place. Park of your vehicle across the street. It Is really close to water. This is a really amazing place.

Wow this park is in the heart of Miami and gorgeous. The downtown parking is expensive but there is plenty of it. All the parking is done on the APP and very convenient except you can only pay for 1- 2 hours at a time. Maybe I just didn't understand the app. I also wasn't clear about paying for parking in a disabled spot. There is no real information I could easily find so I decided to pay instead of possibly getting a ticket. The big fountain at the park was dry but the views of the cruise port were spectacular! There are food trucks, shopping, restaurants, lots of bars, and plenty to do for the entire family! The best part of this park is the SUPER CLEAN accessible restrooms that have an attendant right in front of the playground. My only issue with this being an inner city park is the amount of homeless people. Sadly Miami has a serious homeless issue.

This is a nice park with great views along the bay. I really enjoyed how shaded it was and the live performances that were going on. Part of it was closed for construction when we were there, so I'm sure it's even better if you can see the whole thing. There are lots of parking lots around (all of which you have to pay for). I'd skip the marketplace next door and just go to this park instead.

It is a pretty park right on the Biscayne Bay, and it was nice to see the harbor action of all the cruise ships and boats passing through and the still waters that pass under the bridges that feed into and out of the Miami River. I did not like seeing all the homeless people sleeping nearby and having to walk on eggshells to avoid knocking into them. One other thing I noticed. Little baby crocodiles climbing around. They are like the chipmunks of Florida. Interesting to see those and how much they scamper when they see people. At least the Metromover is nearby.

Nice place with multiple shops and boat tours but places to eat are just horrible. Unfortunately service is bad and food is gross. Love the wheel ride because you can see beautiful Miami and boats from the above.

Kennedy was an attorney and politician who served as the Mayor of Miami from 1970 until 1973. Kennedy is credited with drafting the plans for the creation of Miami's Bicentennial Park which opened in 1976. David T. Kennedy Park is 20 acres and sits on the coastal mangrove shore of Biscayne Bay where there is access for kayaking and paddleboarding. Benches are set up so you can catch the sunrise and sunset and bay breeze. Park amenities include a dog park, open lawn, outdoor fitness equipment, picnic table, playground, and volleyball court. The expansive lawns, tree-lined walking paths, and a range of recreational facilities make this park a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. Also in the park is A.C.'s Icees frozen lemonade truck selling refreshing treats near the parking lot. This frosted lemonade stand has been a park land mark since 1978. Even on the weekend, the park is spacious enough to never feel crowded. If there is one drawback, it would be the lack of parking during peak use time. Overall, David T. Kennedy Park is a fantastic representation of the Miami Dade Park system by combining relaxation and recreation in one beautiful location. Whether you're visiting for a few hours or spending the day, the park provides a welcoming recreational space for outdoor activities and leisurely enjoyment.

While it's not your traditional beach, it certainly got the job done for me ‍ I honestly loved the lake like feel. The fact that there were small fishes grazing along the surf and the muddy like sand upon reaching the water (which definitely smoothed away some calluses while I swam)! It truly is a great beach for families with kids, something I learned there while entertaining a whole bunch of kiddos with my hula hoop (which I, personally, didn't mind since I love kids but wanted to give a heads up for anyone that's looking for something more kid free). Once the sun began to set, I grabbed some wine from the beach's restaurant. The wine was amazing and very reasonably priced but what was even BETTER? The song selection! I stayed a whole extra 30 minutes just to vibe out There couldn't have been a better way to start my vacation, honestly! I think it's more than worth it to visit this spot the next time you're in South Florida

These birds are adorable, but they are threatened by habitat loss. There is a volunteer who regularly checks for Piping Plovers during migration, and she looks for bands that reveal the path of the bird's migratory flight. It's important that we have places for these birds to forage, and I hope the city continues to protect this beach for that use. The bathrooms were a welcome amenity. I had problems paying the parking fee, it was a complicated process. There were about 10 peafowl (peacocks) that roamed the park, a remaining vestige of when this was a zoo.
