I have lived in Miami for a while now and have seen this area get nicer and nicer. I even remember a time that Bayside didn't exist. Now, the park is a go-to place for free Yoga and other awesome events. Flugtag, concerts and big races like the ING Marathon and Ironman start/finish. Is it Central park? Oh by no means, but it is pure Miami. Its a nice little place to stroll and it has a park for the kids and great ambiance, the zen garden is wonderful. read more

Love this venue! Be it for festivals or (my most recent visits) for concerts. Manu Chao, Jarabe de Palo, and more... I've sung and danced to their songs, both on assigned seats and lawn. This last seating section is my favorite because it gives you more liberty to dance, walk around, and has better access to all the food and drink vendors, and still a good view of the show. I always try to get my tickets beforehand, the "will call" can get crazy but, other than that, the events are organized and the people working them are nice if you are. read more

Bayfront Park is solid. I've seen some great shows here. Parking can be a bit of a pain if you don't know where you're going and don't want to spend at least $20 on it. The concession stands are plentifully scattered but as anyone will attest, you will be paying more than what is reasonable for beer and alcohol... and water. But the shows I've seen there are good, and the view with the Miami skyline as a backdrop is great. read more

I was randomly selected for tickets to Megan Trainor concert at the Bayfront Amphitheater at Bayside on September 16! What an experience. It was my first concert at this location. The location was perfect for the event. The weather was also on par, although it was hot there was a cool breeze that flowed. The concert was to start at 7 PM. My hubby and I took the metro mover across to the amphitheater as we live in the downtown area. There were. Unreliable events taking place in Miami on the 16th...Kanye West at the American Airlines Arena, Donald Trump at the Hyatt downtown and Megan Trainor. We got to the event at approximately 6:30 PM. The security checkpoint was easy and the staff was efficient. There were also a vendor renting chairs for the lawn area for a reasonable price of $5.00 per chair. A merchandise stand selling concert item for the artiste was also present. Overall, the area was clean and really nice! There was also a covered area which would be great in the event of bad weather. The open band Common Kings from L.A. performed first. They were amazing with a touch of reggae beat...I love reggae so I really enjoyed it...not so sure about the other thousand little girls and their daddies that were at the event I have never been to a concert with so many children, yes children. It was a great family event. Good change...There I was thinking what do these under 10 years in age children know about Megan Trainor...well they sure knew a lot as she played they sang and danced to every song. Surprisingly, the sound system was great as I've been to other Amphitheaters and the sound was horrible and muffled. This was different and clear. There were numerous vendors in the form of food trucks and alcohol stalls serving a decent variety for all. There were also numerous male and female bathroom stalls so the lines were manageable. After Common Kings, performed Hailee Steinfield. I knew her songs but just not her name ...and for the finale was Megan Trainor. All performers were excellent. Megan Trainor even had her mom and dad perform on stage with her for some songs she wrote for them...ohhh how thoughtful and sweet. She really is an inspiration and great role model for the youth of today, our future! My hubby and I really had a great and relaxing time. Now I'm looking forward to attending future events at this location. read more

Over a week ago, I went to Bayfront Park to see The Cure in concert. Wow. Walking in and seeing everything, I was left speechless. This park is massive. This is also probably the only park that I know that also is so big to be considered a venue for concerts. The way, too, that they organize themselves for concerts is amazing. Nothing was missing. They had food, drinks, seats, security, and a large stage for the band. From this event and this event alone, I cannot give it anything other than a five-star review. I would like to return. I am curious to see how this park is on a regular day. read more

Small park in Downtown Miami where Bayside is located. It is also the location of the amphitheatre with means you can listen to the concerts quite well for free around it. Got to see Maroon 5 for 10 bucks a few years back. It's nice to walk there at sunset and sit in one of the wooden chairs by the bay. I usually stop there after running so errands at Bayside. This is a great place to get a close-up view of downtown Miami. From this park you are surrounded by the buildings of downtown to the south and west, and open to the bay with a great view of the port of Miami to the east! Parking, if you're early, is right under the metro mover tracks on Biscayne Blvd... Although it can be pricy. You could also park at Bayside to the north, or along a nearby street. From here you can walk the core of downtown Miami, hop on the mover, stroll along the Miami river, and cross the bridge to Brickell. The Miami Circle park is just over the first bridge to the south. There is a walk-up 24-hour Cuban coffee and pastry cafeteria a short walk West at 271 NE 1st St. I like to walk down by the fountain, and along the palm glade to the north.... There you'll find a hidden Japanese garden just before you get to Bayside. I also sometimes strike up a conversation with some of the parks transient residents... Actually have walked away with some good book suggestions! Although, not everyone is approachable. Great spot for sunrise pictures!!! read more

Time to kill in Miami? This was a fun place to do some last minute shopping for souvenirs or grab someplace to eat. For those who are not from a usually such a tropical region, there are a handful of nice little shops that sell summery lightweight dresses. There are other more familiar names here like Crocs, Bubba Gump, etc. Much of the shopping is done under a thankfully covered market place to keep you from roasting. We stopped for awhile and watched the boats coming in and out of the marina. read more

This has got to be one of the most utilized parks in the city. Right in the heart of Miami, on the bay and home to many concerts, from the free (check out the new farmer's market and concerts monthly on a Friday evening - awesome now that the weather is cooling down), to the the world famous weekend of Ultra - the crazy yarn head, psycho bobble headed neon dance party. I am privileged to have started working in one of the many tall office buildings that fringe this park and so I have a bird's eye view of every nook and cranny of this wonderful little gem. Only today I realized that there tucked away in the trees there is a trapeze school...who knew? The park is always spotlessly clean and perfectly manicured. My favorite spot is to sit out on the dock next to the InterContinental Hotel at lunchtime and you can look out over the bay and easily forget that there is an entire hustling bustling city right at your back. A popular spot too for visiting small traveling theater type productions (think Circus but more theatrical and unusual) read more

Bayfront Park is Miami's gift to tourists. It is compact enough so as not to exhaust the faint of heart. And its attractions vary from natural lawns to kitschy shops mingled with food emporiums and attractions which flagrantly grasp for every available buck. There's free live music in a mini amphitheater, and an area for spontaneous dancing. At one end, an expanse of green lawn with sculpture and a fountain skirt US1. It's very pedestrian friendly, with well maintained pathways along the seawall. Next to a grove with a small Japanese style pond, there are Adirondack chairs sitting on sand brought by the city just for your various whims. Sit by the Bay, under a swaying palm. A pricey, exclusive event center that is actually a yacht, is docked at the end where office towers owned by banks overlook the harbor. At the other end, the marina is surrounded by restaurants and shops. Bayside is chock full of families and tourists, so the grungy wear and tear of perpetual crowds in a carnival spirit shows. At dockside, a myriad of booths hawk sightseeing buses and boats. At the marina there are tickets available to ride a cigar boat (thrill seeker magnet), a Pirate ship for kids (please, please, PLEASE?), water taxis connecting to South Beach (Par-tay!), and sightseeing vessels that could be reliable ferries in any other locale. Here is the only Hard Rock Cafe without an iconic guitar, thank you very much Hurricane. A fruit and vegetable juice stand will sell you a small smoothie for $7.50. Yeah, I know, but I couldn't resist waiting in line behind a handsome Miami firefighter to buy one. Lines of shops in ventilated, tented arcades will sell you items announcing to people at home that you've been to Miami. Pizza and hot dog vendors are the worst money grabbers dockside. Seriously, people. Actually LOOK at what's being served before you volunteer for these unofficial gastro tests. Rent a Segway and get a helmet to cruise the park. That concession is near the temporary tattoo artist, who is next to a charming merry-go-round for the kiddies. Out front on a well travelled path in the grass are pony rides that go round and round. Teeny vaqueros and their families can have a fun day. Be sure to bring plenty of dinero. read more

Bayfront park is one of my favorite places to go and hang out in Miami. It's this long open walkway by the water. There are spots where you can sit and just appreciate the skyline of Miami Beach. Come during the day or at night, each time of day has its own beauty. I used to come here every night during the Pokémon craze. It seems like such a distant memory, but it was awesome. Hundreds of people every night from all around Miami gathered here to catch virtual monsters on their phones. It really felt like a giant community. During every major holiday there are also events here. Fourth of July, New Years, Halloween, etc.. this place really bonds the people in Miami. Various festivals like Ultra also happen here. If you're a local and not interested in EDM please avoid this area. It is a night mare . Come check out bayfront park. Parking is A little expensive, but if you're only staying for a little bit you don't have to pay if you don't see anybody there read more

I've been to Bayfront Park three years in a row for the fitness festival Wodapalooza. This is a really fantastic and HUGE public park location in Miami. Since I'm from Broward I don't frequent the area often but it's one of those places where each time you come you discover something new. I hear they have other great events like concerts, host several other fitness related events, and have free yoga on the weekends. The street parking off Biscayne is usually full unless you arrive early or happen to be lucky enough to nab a spot. I've never been early or lucky enough so I wouldn't even know what the parking rate is for those spots. That area is metered but not sure if it's cash or credit card only these days. Thankfully there are plenty of public parking areas a few blocks north of the park and still close/convenient walk. The safest seems to be the parking garage(s) near Whole Foods. Be warned that the parking rates are HIGH, especially for the hourly parking lots. Definitely plan to get there early to find a flat rate lot that has availability. The lot we chose on this particular day had an astronomical rate and we ended up paying $40 for about 7 hours since we were at the festival majority of the day. Bayfront Park is also a really convenient walk to several local restaurants! read more

Bayfront park was a mess during ultra music Festival. The location is pretty awesome but during the event it is almost impossible to find parking less than $40. I like the fact that it is surrounded by marinas and a lot of maritime traffic. I'm sure after the festival when the mud dissipates in the grass grows back it will be a beautiful place. read more

I was here today for Art in the Park, for the first time. Beautiful park, right on the water. The view is incredible. The park was filled with artists, music, food, families, and the sun was definitely blazing down on us. A lot of the reviews mention the park being littered with homeless people and dog poop. I did not witness any of that today, but I'm sure the city cleaned everything up for the event. It's sad if the homeless comments are true. This is a wonderful park and sometimes it's easy to forget that Miami is a huge metropolitan, and where there's a big city, there will inevitably be many homeless people. read more

This park is amazing. Truly blown away by how peaceful it is. Great place to come, relax, & sightsee. There's a nice breeze that blows at all times, the trees are positioned in just the right places; the monuments, water fountain, kids park, seating, & little beach area, compliment this awesome place even more. The sea is never far & if you're like me, that loves all of the things mentioned plus looking up at the-ever-so tall buildings on Biscayne, then you'll enjoy this so much. I feel like I could spend all afternoon here relaxing. As you walk across the park you can see people walking their dogs, riding bikes, & just sitting on the many park benches all over. The park is nice & clean. I had a great time and will be sure to come back many many times to meditate & take in all the beautiful nature that's all over! read more

Spacious and well kept, Bay Front sits in the heart of Miami. Great view of the bay, and I'd imagine, this park gets busy with events on the weekends or evenings. Parking is a bit of a doozy though so just be ready for that. read more

I like this little park, and yes it is a little park in comparison to many of the other parks that are used as venues. It has a nice mixture of greenery and concrete. I don't think it is the best design that I have ever seen, but it suffices for the area. The metromover is but a crosswalk away and you can enjoy some lush greenery in the cityscape. The main axis for the park lines up with Flagler Avenue (the main east-west axis for Miami) and functions as a pedestrian extension to the water. There is a major walkway along the shore/waterway that terminates at a pier and the intercontinental to the south and transforms into a semi-pedestrian, semi-vehicular causeway that is used to bring in the infrastructure and structure for the special events. If you do happen to follow this north-south corridor, it will eventually become pedestrian unfriendly as you get to the boat dockage as well as the Pedestrian Mall to the north of the park. read more

So I love this beautiful bayfront that envelopes Brickell to downtown to bayside, and if you keep going straight into museum park. It is a really beautiful and serene with a nice walkway and now that the fountain is on it looks really nice. It's a great venue that has alot of events. My one complaint is that I wish people curbed their pets more because it's gross and when local hotels are cleaning up in the morning you really don't want the smell of urine while you're walking at 8am. Also sometimes there are a few homeless people just chilling. I think Miami needs to do a better job of cleaning up the streets and providing appropriate shelter /bathrooms for these people so they aren't forced to use the park as their place of residence. read more

This park is a great destination for many of the events hosted by the city of Miami, and for those of us that live in the downtown area, it's a great destination for healthy walks and enjoying the view of Biscayne Bay. Last night I went with a few friends to see the the tree lighting ceremony for Miami. It was nice and they had about 25 food trucks there as well. Speaking of which, if you work in downtown you've often got food trucks parked there at lunch time. Word to the wise: Skip Bayside next door. It's a tourist trap. read more

I don't come here very often but when I do I can spend hours here. Bay front park is located right smack in the middle of tons of fun. Tons of events and holiday activities go on in this area. They have yoga classes under open air with a view of the ocean. There is a mall and tons of parking within walking distance. Not too long ago they added a huge tented area right off the street with tons of seating, a bar and food options. Beautiful especially at night with all the pretty lights. They have food truck events around the large fountain from time to time. This park is always extremely clean and tidy. Entertaining for the small kiddos and even the adults are the squirrels that come down from the trees! read more

Move over kiddies! There is a grown-up park in Downtown Miami, and that is Bayfront Park! Ok, I have to admit that this playground is made for family members of all ages, but they have the best free events here for adults including farmer's markets, free yoga classes, and the DWNTWN Miami Concert Series. I came to Bayfront Park often when I used to work in Downtown Miami, and it is a good breath of fresh air for everyone waiting to escape their 9-5 jobs of pushing papers and faxing nonstop. Just be careful when crossing the street because you have to go under the metromover and play "Frogger" to the not-so-innocent-looking cars of Miami drivers. But it is all worth it when you reach this park because it overlooks Biscayne Bay, and there is acres of grass to just sit down and ponder. The only reason I am not giving it a full 5 is because they do not have those "KaBOOM!-esque" snazzy playgrounds I am used to seeing in parks nowadays. Where are the cargo nets? monkey bars? and slides? Apparently, not here. Do not try coming here by car. Parking is extremely limited, and I have seen security guards trolling around cars waiting the last minute for guest's parking tickets to expire. read more

What a view from my hotel room at the Intercontinental! We were in town for the Redbull Flugtag and woke up to boats and an enormous crowd of attendees when we thrusted the curtains open. Well, hel-lo Miami. We literally walked out of the hotel courtyard and straight into Bayfront Park and had a fantastic day. The area is well maintained and perfect to host events. From the docks to the paved walkways and grassy knolls, you can spend a significant period of time here. You can't also beat that it's close to civilization and public transportation. This is quickly becoming the go to venue for all the big rock events. Everybody knows about Bayfront park for Ultra, but lately I've been seeing more and more bands booking here. It's a really great feel, I have had the chance to catch The Cure, Young the Giant, Third Eye Blind, Switchfoot, and most recently Taking Back Sunday, and Coheed and Cambria. All phenomenal shows, the acoustics of the venue are pleasant from both the back lawn and from the front seating area. However, they are extremely strict about bringing cameras in. Totally crummy, everybody is using their phones anyways. I'm a consistent concert goer, and in Miami there are a few major venues, you have the American Airlines Arena (AAA) down the street from Bayfront. You have the Fillmore, on Miami Beach which is an art house. Bayfront Park is one of the coolest out door amphitheater venues, the only thing I wish is that I get big enough to play there myself one day. read more

This is one of my favorite venues to see a show at. Not only is it a great area to walk around during the day, but at night, when there's a concert, there's nowhere better. A typical, yet not huge, amphitheater, one of the things that makes this place great is the sound quality. Unlike most amphitheaters, no matter where you're sitting (seats, lawn, left, right) the sound is clear, loud, and awesome! With tickets usually ranging anywhere from $25-$60 for a show, it can't be beat. Plenty of beer carts along the concourse at the top of the hill and othere non-alcoholic options readily available as well. This in addition to the local vendors that are selling some great fresh food, and you can't ask for a better experience. read more

My friend and I found this gem during a short layover. I was dying to check out the Fernando Botero Moumental Sculpture Exhibit and I'm so glad we did after taking many pictures we ended up finding Bayside Marketplace.
