Views that you can see from the board walk
Genesis T.

Miami Beach Boardwalk is a beach and ocean front promenade along Miami Beach. It runs from South Pointe Park which is the Southern Part of South Beach, all the way to Surfside in the North. It's a safe beach walk for walking, jogging and biking. Motorized vehicles and ebikes are discouraged if not prohibited to keep the pedestrians especially the older people and children, safe. The boardwalk have scenic views of the beach and the ocean, palm trees, pools, bars, restaurant and cabanas from the long stretch of hotels on the other side. A perfect place to walk leisurely, enjoy the views and keep fit at the same time. Check it out!

The Miami Beach Boardwalk is a paved pathway that runs for seven miles, the length of Miami Beach. It begins at 87th terrace and Collins Ave at the border of Surfside and takes you south through North Beach, Mid Beach, and ending at the Ocean Drive Promenade in South Beach in South Pointe Park. Along the boardwalk are parks, hotels, condos, and restaurants. On one side you have a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean and on the other, a front row seat to the hustle and bustle of Miami Beach. For the convenience of those traveling the boardwalk there are benches and water stations. You also often see people setting up tents and selling things like jewelry. The Miami Beach Boardwalk is ideal for walking, biking, jogging, and rollerblading. It is enjoyed by tourists and locals alike. The Miami Beach Boardwalk is a beautiful, accessible, and relaxing way to experience the charm of Miami Beach's historic coastline.

This boardwalk is a super popular activity for locals as well as tourists. It begins at South Pointe Park by 5th and goes all the way up to Surfside. I enjoy walking my dog along the paved pathway along the Atlantic Ocean. There are people of all ages and physical capabilities. One side is the ocean and the other side fronts all the beautiful hotels, restaurants, and shops. It's a must see in Miami Beach/South Beach. And there is no fee to do it.

As obvious as it is, the "Miami Beach Boardwalk" is arguably one of the most iconic and well-known landmarks in the United States. It stands up there with the "Golden Gate Bridge", "Grand Canyon", "Mount Rushmore", and "Niagara Falls". And when you factor in warm, tropical weather year-round combined with white sands, turquoise blue water, high-rise hotels & apartments from a distance, and a fairly clean, well-maintained atmosphere surrounding it. I consider the highlight of the boardwalk to be none other than Ocean Drive (which is now a one way street) that stretches from as far north as the Betsy Hotel to as far south as South Pointe Park. This is where you have access to walk (dog & stroller friendly) run, bike, rollerblade, or even rent a scooter. You can also venture on nearby Collins Ave. which has two way traffic. Keep in mind that this is a very highly congested area and even walking here during peak weekend times as well as night when the bars/nightclubs are in full swing, it can get packed. However, the sandy beach area stretches a good 10 miles and there are parts that are parallel to the ocean that are much quieter. What I particularly liked is that there are food options that are easily accessible. This includes sandwich spots, cafes, desserts, and a ton of sit down options. You can also find stores to purchase clothes, medicine, and all the necessities to make your day at the boardwalk as enjoyable as possible. All in all, if anyone plans on visiting the Miami, FL area, I highly recommend checking out the "Miami Beach Boardwalk". This picturesque views are as good (if not better) than what you see on postcards and on TV. With that said and done, I am giving this very popular Miami spot a unanimous five-star rating.

This place is just as beautiful as the pictures and movies make it out to be! The boardwalk was ok as it's just a paved walkway between the street and the beach. Fun to do but take the time to walk the street to see the shops

The "Venice Beach" of the East coast. Miami Beach boardwalk has potential with its beautiful scenery, water views, and vibrant shops-- However, it's overshadowed by pollution, addict-homeless, and a constant party atmosphere that feels like an endless spring break. Could be much more pleasant with some cleanup and control.

Last time I was there in Miami one year ago with a friend. This time I have decided to come Solo, I am glad I did it. One of the places I came twice was this Beach . Didn't stay like last time , we were there whole day & couple of hours at night . So this time I just walked by the beach , eat something then went to shopping . Had to buy a luggage to carry all the stuff I bought I felt broke lol

This is a must do trail to bike, run or even walk when visiting South Beach. I rode a Citi Bike (see my Yelp review) on the trail and biked from 7th Street to 59th Street but the trail goes to 79th (North Beach) and beyond. Some parts the trail offer great beach views that are wonderful to catch while biking which you won't get otherwise. And on the other side of the trail you can see a glimpse of the hotel pools and parties; it is quite the spectacle. The farther north you ride, the hotels change to high rise condos. The trail is clean, wide and roomy enough to fit walkers, runners and bicyclists.

I love the Miami Beach Boardwalk. I love it for everything it is and everything it's not. YOU are the master of your time while you are here in Miami Beach so if you want to ride a bike , bike , or roller skate, or skateboard or scooter or or or ... the list is endless. For the most part people are considerate of others. I haven't seen any accidents ... YET. I'd like to rent a scooter next time so I can get up and down south beach from 41st street & Collins all the way down to 1st & Ocean. That seems to be all the areas I love in Miami Beach for beaches.

For exercise with a view, this is the place to be in Miami Beach. It's not as busy as South Beach, and the walkway is nice and wide. No issues with people on bikes or roller blades because there's lots of space. It's nice to view all of the pools and patios of the hotels as you walk along. One hotel was actually having a fancy reception for an event while we were their on a Saturday morning. As you walk along the boardwalk you can easily see the beach with all the colorful lifeguard towers. There are many small paths to get access to the beach all along the boardwalk.

Absolutely beautiful! The water is an amazing warm clear blue right now. There are other people on the beach but nothing too crowded there is still plenty of space between all. Chairs are out during the day you can sit on. Its absolutely lovely here!!!

The weather was perfect. The sun was shining bright and there was a little breeze flowing that grazed over me, just enough to allow the sun to feel warming on my skin. I love how easy it is to access the boardwalk from the street. Parking can be scarce but if you time it right you can get a great spot. After parking, make sure you pay for a few hours so you won't have to keep checking. The boardwalk is a great place to take a stroll and enjoy the views of the beach, the water, the people, and the trees. It could also lend itself to a very romantic evening out with your love. It's a perfect place to exercise and enjoy a great jog early in the morning or evening when the sun isn't a factor. It spans to about four miles so if jogging is your thing you'll love it as you jog between the ocean and the hotels with enough room as to not be disturbed by others enjoying their moment.

The beach is wide, clean, and perfect for walking, sunbathing, or simply enjoying the ocean view. When you head toward the beach through Lummus Park, the stretch of green really welcomes you. You do have to walk quite a bit to reach the sand--it's surprisingly far from Ocean Drive. I don't think I've ever seen such a large distance between a main road and the beach before, but honestly, that's part of its charm. Palm trees, colorful lifeguard towers, and the Art Deco skyline create the classic Miami postcard scene. Whether you visit for sunrise or sunset, the vibe here is always energetic. Just walking on the boardwalk, there is so much to take in. Plus there are bikes you can easily rent from bike exchange kiosks that allow you to ride on the path that stretches along the beach. People also walk this and its a very fun activity. The path is really well maintained and quite beautiful. The beach itself is classic powdery sand with waves rolling in to enjoy. The water is not too cold, but not too warm either. It's super crowded at certain times of day and certain times of year, and parking is limited, so plan accordingly. Five stars.

Bayfront Park, originally named Royal Palm Park, is the oldest public gathering space in Greater…read moreMiami. It was established in 1896 and began with a pavilion and green space used for sports activities. The park was also used for political and religious gatherings near the railroad tracks and tidal marshes. In 1922, the city constructed a retaining wall to create a formal park. Warren Manning, who had worked for Frederick Law Olmsted Sr., was commissioned for the design. The 62-acre park officially opened in March 1925 and included pathways, tropical landscaping, and a wide pedestrian promenade that extended from East Flagler Street to the bay. The 1926 hurricane destroyed much of the park. A year later, the city installed a bandshell, a grotto, and a rock garden on the waterfront. During World War II, the U.S. Navy took over the park and used it as part of its critical operations in the area. In 1943, the Navy installed the Dade County War Memorial. The military returned the park to the city in 1950, but it was in a battered state. The city built a library that blocked the view of the bay, and the following two decades saw little investment in the park. In 1980, the City of Miami approved a budget of $10 million to redesign the park. Famous Japanese-American modernist artist and landscape architect Isamu Noguchi was chosen for the task. His inspiration was to create a village green for downtown Miami. He convinced the city to remove the R.C. Gardner Bandshell, which had fallen into disrepair, as well as the library, and to restore Manning's pedestrian promenade. His plan also called for adding new amphitheaters and a large fountain at the end of a promenade flowing from East Flagler Street. The busts and statues of Hispanic leaders were relocated to an area outside the park. Eventually, the project ballooned to more than $40 million, much of it paid for through grants. Noguchi passed away during the construction of the park, but the torch was passed to his longtime collaborator, Shoji Sadao, who carried out his plans and vision. Today, Bayfront Park is maintained by the Bayfront Park Management Trust, a limited agency of the City of Miami. It is smaller than when it originally opened and currently encompasses 32 acres. A highlight of the park is its stunning views of Biscayne Bay. The park is also a culturally important outdoor museum, with art and monuments that add beauty and historical perspective. The Dade County War Memorial was restored in the 1990s, and there are statues honoring Claude D. Pepper and Julia Tuttle, the "Mother of Miami." The park still contains all of the major elements of the Noguchi plan, including the centerpiece fountain, although it is currently closed for repairs. It also features the Lee and Tina Hills Playground, open lawn spaces, a sandy beach area, the tropical rock garden, and the historic waterfall from 1926. A visit to downtown Miami would not be complete without a stop at Bayfront Park. The park is within walking distance of attractions such as the Freedom Tower, Bayside Marketplace, Kaseya Center, Museum Park, and numerous restaurants and entertainment venues. If there is a downside, it is that parking in downtown Miami is scarce and expensive. I have attended many outdoor concerts here through the years, and it is also the site of the popular Ultra Music Festival every March. In June, the park will host the FIFA Fan Festival when Miami welcomes the World Cup. A recent visit found me admiring the many sculptures throughout the park. Bayfront Park is still evolving, and future plans call for new lighting, a café, and additional redesign elements. Known as "Miami's Front Porch," it remains a vital outdoor oasis of green space for residents of the surrounding towers and visitors to the city alike.
