Bubbles time with jamin with Jamie team
    Regie M.

Jamin with Jamie was amazing. Our birthday boy really enjoyed himself. I totally am looking forward to hiring the team again. They were funny, fun and involved everyone. Although it was a super hot day I appreciate the team for keeping such an amazing energy and helping us make this special day even more special. I recommend jamin with Jamie to all parents.

Was a hit at my son's one year old party among all the children. They were transfixed and mesmerized the whole time!

Douglas was an author and environmentalist whose seminal book The Everglades: River of Grass brought awareness to the importance of this ecosystem preserving it from development. She worked with Ernest Coe to have the Everglades named a National Park. Douglas was a tireless champion for the environment and so it seems appropriate that a number of parks have been named in her honor, including this beach park in Miami Beach. The Marjory Stoneman Douglas Ocean Beach Park has a limited number of metered spaces along the street. Parking can be frustrating depending on how busy the park is. It is worth the effort though because the park is a leafy green oasis filled with tall shade trees. As I was walking around I couldn't help but notice the trees were filled with squeaky Monk Parakeets. The centerpiece of the park is an enclosed, large, shade covered playground with poured in place surface surrounded by benches. There are two play sections, one for ages 2-5, and one for ages 5-12. The playground has slides and climbing structures. Other park amenities include a shower, restrooms, and a water fountain. Surrounding the park are large paved paths ideal for walking and biking. The park offers direct beach access and at the perimeter you can pick up an electric City Bike which I think is the best and most fun way to see South Beach and avoid the parking headache. With the playground, beach, and all the other amenities, this is a great place for a family outing.

They have other public skate days so check out their schedule to learn what they are. Bring gloves as it can be a bit on the chilly side, and you definitely don't want to freeze your butt off for those 2 hours. Plus if you happen to slip and fall, your hands will stay warm. Also, come with a jacket and maybe a couple layers; no one has fun while shivering. When I arrived at 4pm, there was only an hour left to skate and the condition of the ice was already hacked. I think they should resurface the ice between the 2 hours as it would make the experience much more enjoyable; it wouldn't take more than 10 mins or so...at least the outer edge where most people skate around and not the center area. Sure it's much slicker, but the way the ice was...you would be tripping over holes that would catch your skates out of no where. Most of the skaters were from young children 3 years told to men in their 50s or so who can really skate. Kinda how I-95 is with so many different drivers with so many different skills; it could be a formula for a head on.

This one of four Everglades visitor center entrances open every day 9am-5pm. Very informative visitir center. Exploring options include self directed hiking & biking. We chose the 2 hr. guided tour with a motorized, open-sided tram. Driver Carlos & guide Kelly were excellent. Adults $34, Seniors $26, Children (3-12) $18. Everyday, hourly 9am-4pm. Check website for the two seasons. This is the best way to get the most out of your visit. Learned much about the varied landscapes-swamps, hammocks, limestone formations. Many bird species, lots of alligators, saw one of two resident crocodiles, turtles, deer. Also a stop at an observation tower. This is a vast expanse, 2400 sq miles, that deserves more than one day. We followed this up with a trip on the partially paved Loop Road through the Miccosukee tribal lands & their visitor cultural center. Thank you to the staff. It was a great adventure. The tour guide provided lot of information about the park, we saw lots of gators but was a bit disappointed as we don't see many birds. I will suggest to follow by the bike rent after the tram ride to cover more places and have the leisure time to get around the park.
