We were sad to leave during quarantine but kept our hopes up to come back as soon they opened again. The Gym crew works hard on keeping the place clean after each class. Masks are mandatory for adults which I think is excellent to keep spreading to a minimum. They have adjusted their protocols to only 10 kids per class and playtime I feel safe bringing my kid here I totally recommend you signing up for the unlimited package so you can attend all classes available and the playtimes.

Some of the instructors & classes available really are amazing, but the building itself is a bio hazard. There was noticeable mold in the women's locker room for months. Then it was closed & "updated" but still has a strong smell of mildew. The rooms where classes are held have a weird smell, & there's almost no air circulation. I've seen many people become overheated to the point of showing signs of heat stroke, & I myself have left mid workout because the heat + no air caused a dizzy spell. When it rains there are buckets everywhere & water leaks. It's been like this for a very long time, there's no excuse.

I intended to cancel within 2 weeks as per their policy. 3 days later, I was charged $105 on June 2nd. I asked for a refund of $105 for the unintended 2nd payment. They told me "no refunds". It's only been 9 days, but I've been charged for 2 months. I want the 2nd month refunded as it was unintended. They are running a SCAM! Why will they not refund the unintended 2nd month?

I didn't really have any intention of doing martial arts again. Years later, I visited the ASF dojo and sat in on multiple classes. Just watching and observing the students(as well as Sensei) was enough to count me in! Joining was probably the best decision I could have made for myself. I fell in love with everything about it. My first day on the mat, The Sempai (higher belts), were more than happy to assist in getting me up to par with the rest of the students. The style of teaching makes it beneficial to everyone, wether you've been at it for years or you're just beginning, you still learn and make progress. Sensei not only does a tremendous job at teaching the little things but she also provides a sense of trust within me, and I know I am getting the most value out of each and every class. Everyone treats each other like family and I always look forward to training every time I go. The high energy and intensity can be challenging at first but it's a method of getting you to become calm and in control of your environment when times get tough. I always had this fear of failure or making a mistake during classes, this fear was detrimental to succeeding both in real everyday life and on the mat. But the mistakes you make on the mat are, as Sensei likes to express, "Better in here than out there". Training in the dojo has helped free me from that fear and lead me to positively grow as an individual, and just understanding the worst that can happen is you mess up and the only way you fail is if you stop trying. We are all diverse people with different journeys and paths. The back and the front of the contract aren't the same but you must have proof that you've been disabled for 3 months to get out of the contract. They only accept full payment for the year in cash OR you must do a credit card authorization or give them authorization to debit your bank account. You would need to provide written notice delivered by registered mail a month before your first year expires OR the contract auto renews for 6 months continually. It seems heavy handed and outside the norm for a kids dance class.

I reached out to Irene (owner) about registering my child in her daycare because my child's previous school was pretty far from my house and I wanted to free up my driving time. She was agreeable and the daycare felt like a small family so overall I left with a good impression. The first day that my child ( 2 years old , almost three) was there , I get a call at 12 pm because he refused to nap, was "hyper" and was "jumping on the sleeping bags" they set out. Mind you , this is his first day in a new environment. She asked if I could pick him up. I complied and grabbed him because I didnt know what else to do .. I had never had a daycare request this. The second day , I get a call at 11 am that my child was "going up the slide wrong way" and that he got on top of a child chair and tried to jump from it and got hurt.. could I pick him up ? By this point , I started to think that this daycare wasnt equipped to deal with toddler behavior. They weren't willing to assist him in acclimating to the school in anyway and were quick to disrupt my workday for situations they should have been able to resolve with a little patience. By the third day , they told me that they had to hire extra help to have my child in the class and that they didnt feel it was the right place for him (only five kids in the class). When i asked why , they said he was too hyper. They gave me two weeks to find a new daycare. Simultaneously, they kept telling me daily that "he was doing so much better" and no incident was ever recorded ( he wasnt biting , hitting, being aggressive, breaking things etc). Everytime I went to pick him up he was playing with a puzzle ( quietly) or playing normally in the playground. Obviously I became distraught over this experience because I work and needed reliable child care and also because she was insinuating my child had some sort of condition for which he needed extra assistance. I took him to the pediatrician , who evaluated him and confirmed that there was absolutely nothing I needed to worry about and that it was all normal toddler behavior. I then noticed that there was a clear shortage of teachers in the schools and that the teacher in my school app was not the same one in my child's classroom ( honestly I am almost positive she was an aid and not a teacher). Overall , if you are considering this daycare , I suggest you do a trial run to see if your kid meets the owners expectations of the owner and I encourage you to reconsider if reliable child care is needed.
