I called ahead & asked about booking 1 slot/item for 2 people, and was told that's okay. When we got there they clarified that only certain items can be built by 2 people (fish, turtle, flower), but they allowed us to also built the vase together. That means if you do this as a date night/group activity, the other person will sit on the side while you build your item. I believe they host couple specific nights (or you can choose one of the few items that is partner friendly). - this is a QUICK guided activity. There wasn't any pre-education on glass blowing, techniques, advice, etc. You are allowed to pick up to 3 colors and then you basically follow the teachers instructions for each step with heavy assistance from the teacher on each step. This isn't a class for someone who's wanting to learn glass blowing basics, be creative, or do most of the process themselves. It's VERY guided and directed. Granted, it takes people decades to learn large scale glass blowing, so I understand why it's designed that way. But if you're looking for more creative freedom/independence, I'd recommend checking out Glass Bubble in Miami. - In addition to the above point, you're not really sure how to make the piece "good". For example, our vase had a ton of bubbles and I'm not sure there's anything we could've done differently to prevent that (and we weren't warned about it). Overall though, this is a cool art activity and you get exposure to some of the tools of glass blowing while getting to go home [the next day] with a cool item!

If you are looking for an art studio space to rent, they have them! I'm not an artist but the studios appear really spacious and inviting. We have attended a open gallery night and got to walk through all of the incredible artists studios while they were showcasing their work. It was a truly lovely event and I can't wait for the next one! Not ready to commit to renting a space but would love somewhere to create? They have studio memberships where you are able to utilize the equipment 24hrs a day. My favorite part of this art center are their classes. I have taken two beginner wheel throwing classes and they were so fun, I'm already signed up for another one! With the beginner wheel throwing class you get two hours of guided wheel throwing and enough clay to create two different pieces. After the class they will let your pieces fully dry out and then fire them in the kiln. After the pieces are fired you are able to come back and paint your own pieces by hand for another small fee or they will use one of three house glazes in blue, while, or black. My pieces turned out beautiful and I love that they are food safe and can even go in the dishwasher! There's a Sip n' Spin class hosted on Saturdays where you get to create and drink wine! Another great option for classes is the 4 week series if you'd like to be studio regularly and learn more complex techniques. If pottery isn't your thing they offer a mosaic class where you can create a custom mosaic piece. If you have ever wanted to try an art class, this is your spot! Currently (5/31/23) they have many classes on Groupon for a discounted price! I cannot recommend this great little studio enough.

I mean, I know they do parties and offer a camp where children have an opportunity to express themselves through myriad artistic venues, but I think it would be too limiting to say that's where it ends! More than what C By Me does, is how they do it! The care and attention that every child and every family receives creates a space where children have a truly stimulating time that is safe and nurturing! At the end of the day I am just a parent on the other end of the review that you are reading. So, why take my word for it? If you are being honest, you shouldn't. You should take the time to read the other reviews as well, and see if there is enough overlapping information to create credibility. (Spoiler alert - there is!!! :-) ) For me, though, the proof is in the pudding. I have been sending my children to C By Me for years. They regularly come back with a day's worth of experiences to share (and boy can they share!!!), as well as projects they have made which they enjoy making, playing with, and are very proud of! I know these results can only be brought upon by a caring and child-oriented group of people, and, as the old adage goes, everything starts at the head! They made the environment fun and relaxed. By the end, we were all besties! The studio is beautiful, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. Great for group events. We made three different drinks. Some of the mixers were pre-poured, and others we poured ourselves. The instructors walked us through the entire process, even how to properly shake a shaker. I didn't think we'd need an in-depth tutorial on that, but we definitely did because spills happen. Lol. The drinks were very tasty. I do wish there had been a bit more instruction on adjusting sweetness levels. They offer different classes at the studio, including candle-making, body butter, perfume, and mixology classes. DIY Body Butter & Karaoke Event…read more I had such a fun and unique time at the DIY Body Butter & Karaoke event! The setup was creative. It was a perfect mix of self-care and dope vibes! Making my own body butter was easier (and way more fun) than I expected. We created our own body butter and had a variety of scents to choose from. The host was amazinggggg! She was very informative, down to earth and really nice. She definitely knows her stuff. The man who hosted karaoke was a total vibe! Once everyone finished their creations, the real fun kicked off (KARAOKE) and the energy completely shifted -- lots of laughs, singing, and good crowd interaction. WE TURNED UP!!!! It was the kind of event that felt both relaxing and lively at the same time. If you're looking for something different to do with friends -- something hands-on, social, and full of personality -- I'd definitely recommend it. They actually have different DIY events like hand soaps and wine making. We will definitely be back sooner than they think. My friend and I did a BYOB painting class here & I was a little skeptical at first. It wasn't a…read morefancy place and there was a lot of art on the walls. My first thought was "oh god they're going to tell us paint whatever you want" and that's not what I was looking for - I expected more of a paint by numbers and was a little dismayed when I got a blank canvas! Felipe was our instructor and he made me feel totally at ease. He had a great personality and awesome sense of humor. He was totally accommodating of my ADD (The class can be a little slow at times) and encouraged me to get really creative with my artwork. We had such a fantastic time! I would totally recommend this to anyone who is just looking for something fun to do or someone who needs a good stress reliever. I personally am a fan of coloring to relieve my stress but this is definitely a much better and more fun option in my opinion, especially because there's alcohol involved! We ran into a few snags at first because we Googled the address and it took us to a completely different place than the address that the Groupon listed. Good thing we checked-we were about to go knock on a random person's apartment door. We actually showed up to the studio early even with the delay, and that doesn't seem to be the trend. The other people in our party came a bit late because they had been pregaming a bit and the other 6 decided not to show at all. About 30-40 minutes after the official start time, Felipe decided to actually start the painting-and it's a good thing that he didn't wait for the rest of the class to show up. We wanted to paint a sailboat that we saw on the wall, but evidently since he was so sick of doing that particular one we played a little bit of improv. There was definitely people on the other side of me who ended up accidentally drinking their paint water instead of their wine and dunking their paintbrushes in wine. Having wine in cups instead of wine glasses (and next to paint water cups) is dangerous while drinking. We had a blast, Felipe is awesome and was drinking right along with us. He's very talented and clearly has fun doing what he does. The studio does adult parties with booze as well as a lot of parties for kids as well. I think this is an awesome way to relax and create something, even if you think you're not artistic. It's amazing to express yourself. Even if it ends up being an abstract.

The instructors were very friendly and helpful. It did go a little fast for me but when I needed help someone was always available.
