One of my favorite beaches to go to. No Large crowds, available parking and blue waters. But shhh... don't tell anyone!

The beach is very dirty but I come here for my dog. You can come late because over an hour before closing time they already close off the entrances to the parking lot. I don't like to go long time with my dog however I can't come last minute because of that. Parking is limited so forget coming on the weekend!

Hobie Beach is one of the few dog friendly beaches in Miami and is FREE. The section of the beach we were at was clean, and we did not see garbage lying around. Parking is free but limited. We didn't have to wait too long for someone to leave and move their car, but we were also there on a weekday afternoon, granted it was MLK day. There was also a portable restroom trailer on site. For some reason, I thought they were going to be clean and luxurious like the ones I've been in before, but these were really gross and dirty.

I been coming here so often during the pandemic either after work or on weekends, am glad to finally give this area a long overdue review! This location is a quick getaway from concrete surburbia of heat and oppresive humidity offering relaxing times by the water with small strips of beach.   If you want a quieter side, choose the west side with more parking but small strips of beach just before crossing the huge causeway bridge.  You can rent kayaks, paddleboards and more but are relegated to a paddle up ans down the beach without much to explore.  I believe there is one or two arepa / sausage stations. For more hustle n bustle go ahead to the east side just over the bridge but be very patient as there is barely if any available parking and people are waiting in their cars for aa spot to open up.  There are two lots on this side just before Miami Seaquarium. There is much more beach on this side but is much more packed with people, pets, tens, big speakers and more!  there are also more food and drink serving stations here as well.  Obviously the views on this side are more sublime espescially with large boats / yachts anchored in the bay.  I often get out here due to jogging the Rickenbacher bridge and watching everything this parardise has to offer.  After almost 2 hours of jogging walking it is certainly refreshing to pull out my beeach chair, have a mocktail and relax,  sometimes catching a sunset.  As for today it's still nice here at 3pm while looking westward with all the ugly dark storms brewing out there.  LOL, I escaped another stormy afternoon. Although this place has free parking, the main drawback is the lack of parking especially on the east side where it is preferrable.  So bring patience if you bring gear as you cannot hike with you gear from the west side over the bridge.  The main reason for 3 stars.

Hobie Beach, or as some call it - Dog beach - is my go-to place on weekends for a relaxing and scenic run. It has great views of Miami, the ocean, and Biscayne Bay. Located on the island of Key Biscayne, parking can be a little bit of a mission as this place does get popular! That being said it's totally worth it to come here for a run, walk, bike ride, dog walk, or just to enjoy the sunshine. The bridge is the biggest and most iconic spot here right next to the beach and where you'll see the biggest congregation of people and the best of views at the highest point.

This is our favorite 'nearest faraway place' to enjoy a run on the weekends. Plenty of parking along the causeway lots although it does get busy! Gorgeous views, therapeutic view of the ocean, bay, and skyline. Lots of cycling, running, walking, taking dogs to the beach, and watersport rentals. Been coming here for years and plan to for many more.

Beautiful, small, clean, quiet beach. It wasnt too crowded when we went on a Sunday in October. There are no chair or umbrella rentals available but there are several palm trees on the beach you can set up under. There is a food vendor selling hotdogs, arepas, pinchos, etc. We didnt try the food but its nice to know the option is there. Free parking, and dog friendly. What more can you ask for?

Doggie beach..!!!! Very accessible beach, parking close to the sand. Come early or wait for a space for parking. Although the flow of traffic not the beat, since the end is blocked, you will have to make a U turn. Beach is shallow but with some algae. This time at summer is the best. Cold and warms currents of water. Bring some umbrellas for shade!

I highly recommend taking a leisurely walk over the Key Biscayne bridge at sunset or sunrise especially on weekdays when there are less people. The panoramic views of the setting sun, shimmering waters, and distant boats are nothing short of breathtaking. Parking is available at the beach right before the bridge. For those seeking a picturesque Miami experience that captures the essence of its coastal beauty, this spot is a must-visit!

It's one of the few dog friendly beaches we have in Miami. It's nice, clean, people are friendly, and my dog always has the greatest time swimming and interacting with other dogs. Parking can be challenging but overall, it's worth it to make my pup's day.

Things I love about Hobie... close by, easy to get to, beautiful views, doggies, soft sand, seating close to water, palms in the breeze and nice shade, new food trucks behind you. Things I hate... searching for parking, noise from the causeway, small size and gets overcrowded, noise from jet skis, and bathrooms are super limited.

What a great beach to just park and run into the water, super convenient. People were very decent here and respectful. There was quite a bit of parking when we went on the weekend in February.

    Manda Bear B.

Not the cleanest one, not really a real beach, but it's quiet and when you don't want anyone to bother you, it's not so bad to be here. Time for yourself or a short walk by the water to get your mind off things... plus it's right next to the Rustic Pelican, while waiting for your table, you can definitely chill here!

My pup Milo enjoying the walk.

I used WhatsApp and they respond really quickly. Just provide details like the day, amount of people and the time. You can also book through their website which I also did but WhatsApp was immediate service. We quickly found an option that fit our budget and they send over a contract to sign. A small deposit is due during the time you sign your contract with the remaining balance and tip on the day of your trip. They offer drink and food services but we opted to bring our own as they provide an ice cooler. Our captain, Daniel, was great. He texted me right before and we let him know we were running late. Our Uber dropped us off at the wrong location which made us more late but he still gave us our time back when he did not have to all. Once he helped us onto the boat, he asked where we wanted to go and took us to a small island with other boats. He also gives you full access to the music. They also have an option for a large floatie for everyone to lay out and relax on. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a private boat ride. Prices are very reasonable. Easily our favorite excursion on the trip!

I needed to renew my ACA instructor certification and wanted to get WPA instructor certification, so I did an ACA Level 1 and 2 SUP workshop and WPA level 1 SUP instructor training/certification with TFY. Meghan is the best SUP instructor/instructor trainer I've had. She's obviously very knowledgeable, but more importantly, she's also awesome at conveying that knowledge. We covered a huge amount of information in the ACA L1/2 workshop, but she made it manageable and easily understandable. The welcome letter she sends prior to class is very helpful and lets you know what to bring, the schedule, and what to expect. Her videos are also extremely helpful to watch beforehand. I thought the ACA workshop would be largely review for me, but I was surprised by how much I learned. She's also very upbeat, encouraging, and patient, and her low-pressure approach creates the perfect environment for learning. She taught high school math for 9 years, and I think her background in education plus her SUP knowledge and skills make her an outstanding instructor and instructor trainer. I'm looking forward to returning for ACA L1/2 instructor certification training.
