    My pup enjoying the view
    Chandra F.

It was just me and 2 smaller dogs so I found the king deluxe room perfect for us. It's not a 5 star hotel, but if you're looking for a basic, clean room with a comfortable bed, this will work. RM 10 came with a view of the Rock and ocean, which was a nice surprise. There is no ac unit or heater, but there is a ceiling fan, another window fan if you choose and a small portable heater. It was about 50 degrees when I was there and the little heater actually warmed the room up pretty quickly. There is a café next door and several restaurants right across the street. It's a nice walk to the beach. Lots of parking available as well. $32 pet fee per stay so it's reasonable. The price is also affordable. I paid $82 (tax/fees included) for a Sunday. Can't beat that price for probably the closest hotel to the beach and the view. Would stay here again.

    Dirty shelf

The plugs didn't work for my breathing machine., There was no air conditioning, no hot waterin sink mold in shower. Dirty sheets. Smelled like dog. Payed for breakfast there wasn't any

Not What I Expected. Disappointing Stay. The view was lovely, but that's where the charm ended. The photos online were misleading. What looked sleek and modern turned out to be shabby and neglected. The room reeked of cheap disinfectant (think nursing home vibes), and there was no closet, just a random bar and shelf. The bathroom vent was clogged with lint, which isn't ideal for someone with asthma. The manager handed me a vacuum to clean it myself--so... service? Beware of paying upfront; I did, and I was told there were no refunds, even after I complained. There was also a power outage overnight, and an alarm blared for an extended time. Some other guests were screaming at each other in different rooms to "shut the f$#@ up!" At least I didn't get bed bugs, so that's a win?

Nasty chunk of god knows what on the bed when we pulled back the sheets

First off, the location is great for walking to the restaurants. Besides that, there's nothing else positive about this place. We pulled back the sheets and found dog hair, long strands of human hair, chunks of god knows what, grass, and yellow/brown stains on each layer of the sheets and blankets. The floor was dirty, the shower leaked no matter how we twisted it, and the walls are extremely thin. I'm very upset that I paid this much for a bed that wasn't even changed before our arrival. It made my skin crawl-- how do they not change the sheets between guests??? I wish I could get my money back.

Dirt from the tile floor I had to scrub..

This place was absolutely disgusting.. it was my first time booking a different hotel here at Morro Bay the reviews seemed great online but once we got there even checking in became a hassle.. There's a major language barrier between front desk workers which i don't mind.. but then we get to our room and it was 184$ for a small ass room.. I mean come on other places charge less for nicer rooms. It was my anniversary with my Husband and i was in my hotel room scrubbing the floors of dirt and grime.. I couldn't even sleep on the blankets they provided.. they had STAINS ALL OVER.. i had to use the hotel towels provided with soap to finally get clean floors for us to walk on.. If i could rate zero i would.. don't waste time or money here

Cheap flooring - the cheapest fake wood on the market. Pet fee - there should be zero pet fee bc the cheap synthetic flooring is v easy to clean. $330 per night Bed - minimalist but comfy Small - v small room. 1 small space heater is the only heat source in the room. No light in shower No sink in bathroom Toilet/shower door hard to close "Bayview" - 1 small dirty window - looks over parking lot. Cheap mini blinds don't open all the way. TV inop - blinks out after 5 to 10 minutes. There is no more continental breakfast. Bedside lamps from 1982 Fridge is v small Can hear neighbors having sex Good - spitting distance from restaurants & bay. Dog treat bag.

Every curtain had a hole or tear.

It's horrible. The owner/manager is so mean ... to the staff. He verbally abused her right in front of me, blaming her for the complete lack of upkeep on his part. The sheets were so worn and pilled, scratchy. I got blankets from my car to sleep on. There was hair on the sheets. The screen popped out. There's no deadbolt, but since the screen was out, I just slid the window open and unlocked the door. He also tried to overcharge me. So bad. Avoid.

Location, location, location. Stayed here for 3 nights with our dogs, rooms are small but adequate, but the location is everything. We walked almost everywhere and had the best stay. The bakery next door is a must, as is Goddess goods for a latte, Frankie and Lola's for a breakfast burrito. Everything is right there. Will absolutely stay again.

Super cute little place. Manager is a super friendly Italian gentleman. Great location. Everything you need in Morro Bay you can walk to from the Inn.

I called the Beach Bungalow Inn & Suites directly and spoke with the manager, Gabriell J. She was a total professional. I was stressed and upset, but her calm and helpful demeanor completely turned things around. She went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of through the hotel itself. Lesson learned: always book directly! Not only is the customer service superior, but you get a better price, too. I will absolutely book directly with them for my next trip to Morrow Bay!

I was supposed to receive a text or email with check in instructions and also a door code for the room. I received a call on the day of check in regarding this. I told the person on the phone that I had not received either and she assured me that I would receive one before the 3 pm check in. I did not receive the text. When we arrived to the property at the 3 pm check in, we tried to check in at the office but there was no one there. We found the manager cleaning a room. She informed us that she was the one that had called me. So apparently she runs the office and also serves as housekeeping. We went back and forth trying to reset the door code, and during this time, she was also was stressing about cleaning the vacated rooms on time. At the end of everything, she ended up offering us physical keys after all. Physical keys would have prevented the whole 30 min delay! Also, my ID was never checked, and I never had to sign anything regarding incidentals or policies which is usually the norm when you check in to a hotel. My word was just taken for my identity. Now to the room itself. It was perfectly clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a tub/shower combo and small sink. No storage space so be aware of that. There was a fridge, coffee machine and coffee, creamer and sugar provided. There was a TV and fireplace. It was a really cute space. This Inn is also super close to the Embarcadero, restaurants, beaches, etc.

While we love supporting local places by going out to eat, it is also a perfect place to make your own dinner, put the umbrella up on the patio table, and enjoy dinner on your deck. It is also great for morning coffee and watching the boats go out for the day. They stock coffee and tea in the kitchen, but there is also a little coffee shop next door. I love going over, grabbing a Mexican Mocha and a bagel, and sitting outside in the morning. A couple of things worth noting are that Units A and B share a deck with only a partial separation, which opens up the view of the bay for both units. There is one regular parking spot and one handicapped spot, but three rooms, so someone has to park on the street. However, parking is free and unlimited, so that wasn't an issue for us. Things are quiet a good amount of the time, but it is on the Embarcadero, so it can also be noisy from the restaurants nearby at times. It is further down from the busiest part of the Embarcadero, so things aren't crazy down here. Still, it is only a one-mile walk--or a three-minute drive--to the Rock, and the cute little movie theater is just half a mile away alongside countless shops off the Embarcadero. Everything is within easy walking distance. If you want to stay in, the couch is a futon, and my son says it isn't too uncomfortable to sleep on. We all fight over who sits in the armchair--it is a perfect reading chair. We highly recommend staying here. We stayed here for a week last summer and this summer.

From what I could tell, she and her husband are the primary people running the inn, and they were both wonderful hosts. Throughout my stay, they checked in to make sure everything was going well, which I really appreciated. When I walked into the room, the reviews were absolutely right. Everything was spotless--from the bedding and carpet to the bathroom. I was also pleasantly surprised by the shower's water pressure. At many hotels it's either too weak or inconsistent, but here it was just right. The bed was also very comfortable, making it easy to get a good night's sleep.
