Staying at the Harbor Walk Inn is a dream!! Every detail is so beautiful and perfectly thought out, with my favorite being the gorgeous spiral sink featured in the bathroom. The Jellyfish Suite is extremely spacious, comfortable, and has the most beautiful view from the balcony. If you love sea life, you will love standing out on the balcony! Every day I was able to see pelicans and herons, watch sea lions or sea otters float by, and even caught a glimpse of a beautiful harbor seal. Check in/out was super easy and the staff is so so kind! I know some complain about noise from either the sea lions or children's zen area, but we had absolutely no problems with noise levels! The quiet hours are well respected and we found the sea lions nice to listen to as we relaxed or fell asleep. This Inn has so many wonderful amenities in and outside of the room and it was really nice being so close to the water and fun activities in town. When we arrived it had just rained, but they had already left us a separate towel in the room to wipe down anything outside and the outdoor furniture dried quickly overnight so we were able to enjoy the furniture and fire pit for almost all of our stay. The attention to detail and hospitality really made our stay feel special, it's the perfect relaxing getaway for couples. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to come back for another peaceful stay!

Everything about our stay at the Harbor Walk was just so perfect! Check in was super easy and the lady that helped us was incredibly helpful and friendly (I'm so sorry I'm bad with names). She showed us to the room and went over the little extras, taking the time to welcome us and start the experience right. The room was spectacular! We stayed in the sea otter suite and when they say it overlooks the water, that is 100% accurate. The bed faces the balcony, the doors open so wide that you feel like you're outside. You can see the water, boats and a platform filled with sea lions from bed (which was super comfortable). The deck is amazing, very comfortable, great fire pit, so private and just the best views. Sea lions and otters were swimming and playing directly outside our deck all weekend and it was fun to watch the boats and tiki tour and beautiful sunsets. Morro Rock is a direct view and the photos we took were gorgeous. The hotel is very centrally located but honestly we mostly brought food in and didn't waste a minute of relaxation time. The room also features a great coffee bar (fresh cream in the refrigerator), a gorgeous gas fireplace, beautiful decor, table and chairs, and a lovely bathroom with a huge walk in shower. When I had difficulty with the shower - totally user error - I called the front desk and rather than just telling me what I was doing wrong, the lady working literally ran to the room to show me. This is a staff that truly cares about guests and wants the experience to be a great one. Whether you want a great location for visiting the sights in Morro Bay or just the perfect room to relax, enjoy the views and recharge, Harbor Walk is the perfect place. We really can't wait to return. Thanks for such an amazing experience.

My husband, two kids and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Harbor Walk Inn, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations. The hotel boasts a spacious deck complete with a cozy fire pit, which made for a perfect evening of relaxation while taking in the stunning views of Morro Bay. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever been in and the kids were extremely cozy on the memory foam pull out couch. I loved how kid friendly this inn was with an adorable park and seals basking in the sun just right below our room. What really sets Harbor Walk Inn apart is its unbeatable location right in the heart of downtown Morro Bay. Everything from charming shops to delicious restaurants is within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient for guests. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, always going above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The views from the deck and rooms are absolutely breathtaking, whether you're watching the sunset over the bay or enjoying the peaceful morning atmosphere. I couldn't recommend Harbor Walk Inn more--it's truly a gem in the heart of Morro Bay!

Great place to stay and will return for a longer stay. We're in the habit of leaving home and not know where we're going on a "no plans, no worries" adventure. We stopped in Morro Bay on the evening on the 6th day of adventures where ran into hotel co-owner Travis on the street as he was talking to a family that just checked in. Travis offered to show us rooms available for the evening, two in total. He was so friendly and after we saw the rooms we decided to check in and head down the street to their recommendation to Rose's Bar & Grill for a light dinner, which was closing at 9 pm. Great recommendation. The Inn is a new venture for the lovely couple and their three children. They have put a lot of themselves in each room in design, function and amenities. The king size bed was so comfortable we want to order one for home. Our room had a balcony with a fire pit and fireplace in the room. I slept with the sliding door open waking up fresh and relaxed. Unfortunately it was late and I didn't take photos of the room. The Inn opened April 1st, so I shared with co-owner Cherise a power strip would be appreciated to charge phones, watches, etc. and an extension cord on request. She emailed a few days after our stay, "We have installed a power strip earlier this week. Thank you for the feedback. See you next time in Morro Bay. I will have your parking space ready". Left for home after coffee and croissants at Sun-N-Buns Bakery & Espresso Bar. We will definitely in return.

I had read several reviews for this place saying how comfortable the beds were and how nice the rooms were. At that time the nicest woman showed us every room layout they had, even let us sit on the beds to test out the comfort level. The beds we sat on were way better than the other place. We also liked the different layouts of the rooms- the one with 2 separate bedrooms and the one with the kitchenette were our favorites- but we felt, at the time we could enjoy any of the rooms. They are also dog friendly if you aren't in the kitchenette room The reviews from before talked about a wonderful breakfast brought to your room each morning. When I mentioned it, the woman said they just discontinued that- the woman who was making the items had gone back to school in the mornings. She said they would be giving each guest a breakfast voucher for various small businesses in the area. This sounded like a great way to try out new places I asked if all the rooms had a fridge and microwave. We were assured they all did We booked thru a 3rd party for this trip. We stayed 3 nights- arriving Monday around 5 pm of Thanksgiving week There was a young man in the office when we arrived who said we were the last to check in for the evening He gave us our room keys and showed us the map on the wall to direct us to our rooms. He also told us parking is first come first served. We went to our room to store our belongings before heading out to dinner. I didn't see a microwave in my room- a must for my neck and back warmer for a recent injury. I went back to the office to request one. I was told he would look for one and get back to us. He came to our room 5 minutes later saying he couldn't find one. I explained I had been promised one by the nice lady when we came to look at the inn- he said she no longer worked there. That he had only been there a week He said he would call his manager and get back to us- but he left for the night without an update We asked him how to work the fireplace- but he didn't know We also asked to not have the maids come to the room while we were out. He said they don't come at all during your stays There is a binder in the room that tells you about the fireplace, as well as the location of some lockers to get "amenities" The locker has towels, tp, tissues.... There were also bikes and body boards available for use The rooms have been updated- but once in the room, it didn't seem to us that they were done well The bathroom floor is very slippery- we had to lay down towels for safety. The shower was not hot thru the whole stay- and water pressure is almost nonexistent There is a sign up in the bathroom about a 5 minute shower- no way you would get the conditioner out of your hair with no water pressure The fireplace wasn't working well... the tiniest of red on a log- and you can't really enjoy it from the bed. The tv is mounted above the fireplace- but it doesn't swivel- so you can't see it well from the bed The WiFi is a joke The beds were not as comfy as other guests reported- more were they as nice as the ones we had been shown a few weeks ago. We were in room 3 pacifica- they showed us rooms on the other side of the hotel The 2nd day we found a nice woman working in the office who was able to bring us a microwave. She did there were about 6 in the storage area. I asked if maybe the first guy didn't know where to look- she said that's where they always keep them. She stayed to make sure it worked when we plugged it in- the whole outlet didn't work in the front room The ironing board was broken- we were going to use it as a shelf for storage. The closest only had 1 hanger in it and 1 bathrobe. Which seemed odd there wouldn't have been 2. The coffee was in tiny refillable canisters. We brought our own coffee maker and coffee so wasn't an issue for us- but we both thought it didn't seem sanitary The fridge never did get cold enough- even though we had it on the coldest setting- so we ended up mostly using our big beach cooler In the 2nd day they cut back all the palm trees- grateful the woman who brought us the microwave warned us and we were able to move our car. We asked her if they would trim the ones right in front of our room- we had several stairs up to get in our room- and the palm fronds would smack you in the face when you tried to carry your stuff in and out. They did cut that back- very helpful But we were stuck in our room while the work was done. It was very loud There was always plenty of parking We didn't feel the beds we had were as comfortable as the ones in the other side of the inn- in room 3 the queen sized bed felt better then the king When we checked out it was another young man who also seemed new and inexperienced Hoping there is more training for the entire staff so everyone is on the same page

Gabby, the supposed manager has a bad reputation, especially within online reviews…read more Even so, I was willing to pay $$$ as the rental I drove malfunctioned and I needed an immediate place to stay. Shortly after using a remote check-in service, I was locked out of my room and there was absolutely zero management onsite at this property...from early afternoon until the next day after 10am. That's also what a lot of reviews said. Gabby would do best working as a prison guard where she can exercise her authority as a self-proclaimed bully. Better yet, she should retire as she would likely be fired as being a bully is not okay, unless you're Gabby. Hope the owners know what she is doing to the property. P.S. I also got bedbugs here. So gross. Ugh.

We got consistently good sleep here. Breakfast had decent food including kielbasa one day. Access to CA-1 is easy and it's not far to drive to shopping, Morro Rock and Morro Bay. You can tell they've put effort into keeping it fresh and comfortable. The staff? Genuinely friendly and helpful - great recommendations, warm greetings, and they actually acknowledge you as a member (which, let's be honest, doesn't always happen everywhere). Also...major bonus points for being dog-friendly. My pup was living his best life here. Now, let's talk breakfast. Or...my lack of breakfast. If you're plant-based, your options are basically: * Toast * Fruit * Plain oatmeal (if you're feeling adventurous) Meanwhile, my dog was over there enjoying what I like to call "my breakfast." Day one: cheese omelette. Day two: scrambled eggs and potatoes. Honestly, he was thrilled. I get that it's a standard hotel breakfast setup, but in 2026, throwing in one solid vegan option doesn't feel like a wild ask. Even a simple oatmeal bar or plant-based protein would go a long way. That said, everything else about the stay was great - clean, comfortable, welcoming, and easy. I'd absolutely stay here again... I'll just plan to bring my own breakfast.
