Our first time in Morro Bay and our first time staying here. Though we only spent one night, it is our favorite hotel. Our room was an upgrade--complete with a bottle of wine for our anniversary. It was charming and cozy--beautifully -appointed with fireplace and a patio with a fireplace, overlooking the Rock. Our room was clean and had the best bed ever! I woke up without my usual aches and pains. The bathroom was roomy as well. The staff was friendly and welcoming, greeting us when we arrived, showing us where to park our car and helped us with our suitcases. We would love to return! read more

The sunset was stunning We stayed in the Mermaid themed theme room, and every detail was beautifully designed. The ocean inspired decor created a whimsical, relaxing atmosphere that truly made us feel like we had escaped to a coastal paradise. It was charming, unique and full of thoughtful touches. The room was spotless, exceptionally comfortable- the property reflected pride in ownership and attention to detail. Excellent excellent service. This place has their sh*t together. They send a nice welcome text with all the information and details. Once you arrive they walk you to your room and show you all the amenities. This place felt like a 5 star hotel. Our room (#2) was amazing with the panoramic view of the Morro Rock from all angles. Pros:friendly check in and service, walking distance to pretty much everything right there o pier area. Cute, trendy, and of course the view. Fire pit was great. Bedding was so soft! I am buying some of the same sheets. Cons: right next to playground, you will hear children playing for most of the day and even a bit after sun down. Smell in the room was like a bathroom cleaner. It took some time to get the smell away. Parking was tricky, especially if they were busy. No phone in room... iPad was available. Overall most likely won't return because we were looking for a relaxing time in the room rather than listening to children scream. read more

Staying at the Harbor Walk Inn is a dream!! Every detail is so beautiful and perfectly thought out, with my favorite being the gorgeous spiral sink featured in the bathroom. The Jellyfish Suite is extremely spacious, comfortable, and has the most beautiful view from the balcony. If you love sea life, you will love standing out on the balcony! Every day I was able to see pelicans and herons, watch sea lions or sea otters float by, and even caught a glimpse of a beautiful harbor seal. Check in/out was super easy and the staff is so so kind! I know some complain about noise from either the sea lions or children's zen area, but we had absolutely no problems with noise levels! The quiet hours are well respected and we found the sea lions nice to listen to as we relaxed or fell asleep. This Inn has so many wonderful amenities in and outside of the room and it was really nice being so close to the water and fun activities in town. When we arrived it had just rained, but they had already left us a separate towel in the room to wipe down anything outside and the outdoor furniture dried quickly overnight so we were able to enjoy the furniture and fire pit for almost all of our stay. The attention to detail and hospitality really made our stay feel special, it's the perfect relaxing getaway for couples. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to come back for another peaceful stay! read more

Everything about our stay at the Harbor Walk was just so perfect! Check in was super easy and the lady that helped us was incredibly helpful and friendly (I'm so sorry I'm bad with names). She showed us to the room and went over the little extras, taking the time to welcome us and start the experience right. The room was spectacular! We stayed in the sea otter suite and when they say it overlooks the water, that is 100% accurate. The bed faces the balcony, the doors open so wide that you feel like you're outside. You can see the water, boats and a platform filled with sea lions from bed (which was super comfortable). The deck is amazing, very comfortable, great fire pit, so private and just the best views. Sea lions and otters were swimming and playing directly outside our deck all weekend and it was fun to watch the boats and tiki tour and beautiful sunsets. Morro Rock is a direct view and the photos we took were gorgeous. The hotel is very centrally located but honestly we mostly brought food in and didn't waste a minute of relaxation time. The room also features a great coffee bar (fresh cream in the refrigerator), a gorgeous gas fireplace, beautiful decor, table and chairs, and a lovely bathroom with a huge walk in shower. When I had difficulty with the shower - totally user error - I called the front desk and rather than just telling me what I was doing wrong, the lady working literally ran to the room to show me. This is a staff that truly cares about guests and wants the experience to be a great one. Whether you want a great location for visiting the sights in Morro Bay or just the perfect room to relax, enjoy the views and recharge, Harbor Walk is the perfect place. My husband, two kids and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Harbor Walk Inn, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations. The hotel boasts a spacious deck complete with a cozy fire pit, which made for a perfect evening of relaxation while taking in the stunning views of Morro Bay. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever been in and the kids were extremely cozy on the memory foam pull out couch. I loved how kid friendly this inn was with an adorable park and seals basking in the sun just right below our room. What really sets Harbor Walk Inn apart is its unbeatable location right in the heart of downtown Morro Bay. Everything from charming shops to delicious restaurants is within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient for guests. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, always going above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The views from the deck and rooms are absolutely breathtaking, whether you're watching the sunset over the bay or enjoying the peaceful morning atmosphere. Great place to stay and will return for a longer stay. We're in the habit of leaving home and not know where we're going on a "no plans, no worries" adventure. We stopped in Morro Bay on the evening on the 6th day of adventures where ran into hotel co-owner Travis on the street as he was talking to a family that just checked in. Travis offered to show us rooms available for the evening, two in total. He was so friendly and after we saw the rooms we decided to check in and head down the street to their recommendation to Rose's Bar & Grill for a light dinner, which was closing at 9 pm. Great recommendation. The Inn is a new venture for the lovely couple and their three children. They have put a lot of themselves in each room in design, function and amenities. The king size bed was so comfortable we want to order one for home. Our room had a balcony with a fire pit and fireplace in the room. I slept with the sliding door open waking up fresh and relaxed. Unfortunately it was late and I didn't take photos of the room. The Inn opened April 1st, so I shared with co-owner Cherise a power strip would be appreciated to charge phones, watches, etc. and an extension cord on request. She emailed a few days after our stay, "We have installed a power strip earlier this week. Thank you for the feedback. See you next time in Morro Bay. I will have your parking space ready". Left for home after coffee and croissants at Sun-N-Buns Bakery & Espresso Bar. We will definitely in return. read more

Great quaint hotel right in the heart of town. Super friendly staff with newly renovated rooms. This was a great location to spend time at Morro Bay. I loved Absolutely everything about my stay here! The room, the parking situation, the staffing, the amazing amenities, cleanliness, and the attention to detail all throughout the room. My fiance and I booked this hotel for our anniversary and it was our first time ever staying here, the owner was an absolute angel. She was in constant communication with me and even allowed us to check in early. She gave us an arrangement with a card that said happy anniversary, and she gave us a room with an amazing view. Not to mention as soon as you walk out the room you're right on the doc to the beautiful view of the rock, and access to all the shops. I cannot wait to come back. My mom and I stayed here for my birthday week. This hotel experience was by far one of my most memorable. We stayed in the Mermaid Room, which had beautiful art work and decor. The spiral shell sink was amazing. Everything was so clean and we loved our patio with a perfect little fire pit. The owner, Cherise, was wonderful and so kind! So this is a pretty awesome story. I made reservations for harbor walk Inn. As I went to check in I realized that I entered the incorrect date for the reservation. The young men at the counter was really polite and tried to rectify the situation. I explained to him that it was completely my fault and I take full accountability for my mistake. I ask him for a recommendation. He said that he has my number and that he would make a few phone calls to see what he can do. Moments after the owner reached out to me. She was very kind. She asked me if I wanted to stay at the hotel next door and that she can help arrange that. The owner made accommodation for us at Rose's Landing. It was one of the kindest gestures ever. Unfortunately I didn't get to stay at Harbor walk, but with this type of service I'm sure the hotel would meet my expectations. So big shout out to the owner and her son for being such an amazing people. We had 2 wonderful nights in the Sea Otter room with a panoramic harbor view and private balcony with a fire. It was so clean and fresh and nicely decorated with local art and a very very comfortable bed. Did I mention the spiral shell sink? Perfect location we walked everywhere. Nice stores and restaurants close by. We met one of the owners, she took time to show us the room, and her kids who worked at her cool store below. Easy parking. I would give this place 10 stars if I could! This is our new FAVORITE place to stay on the Central Coast. The room was beautifully appointed and the view was SPECTACULAR! From our large balcony with fire pit we could see harbor seals, sea otters, many types of marine birds, and sailboats, on beautiful Morro Bay. Morro Rock provides the beautiful back drop for this stunning and calming panorama. The inn is perfectly situated in a prime location on the Embarcadero with easy access to multiple restaurants, shopping and various types of bay/ocean boat tours. The owner Cherise and her capable staff made our entire stay thoroughly enjoyable. This is a new inn that opened at the beginning of April and I believe it will become the premium place to stay. They certainly know how to make their guests feel welcome. We will come back often. I highly recommend this inn. You won't be disappointed! read more
