Nice room with a King-size bed

Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner Ann and she was very kind and easy to communicate with! My husband and I checked into our room and we were both impressed by the cleanliness of place! Our room had nice hardwood floors, cute decor, comfy bed with magic fingers massager, nice working AC unit, and spotless bathroom. Thank you Sundown Inn for a comfortable stay, we will be back in the future!

Upon arrival we noticed the owners tending to their garden. Such a beautiful little garden area. Secondly, the politeness of both Anne and her husband was one that made me and my partner feel welcomed. Let's get to the stay, we asked for hardwood flooring and we got that! The rooms were clean and nearly every thing new, although some things in the room do need an upgrades, it seems like they are taking that on a little at a time. The rooms are just amazingly clean and comfortable, new mattresses as well COMFORTABLE. So thank you so so much for the welcoming stay, we were glad we were able to support a family operated business. We will be giving out our recommendations for this stay to family and friends. Also for those who may wanna know, The Sundown Inn is about two blocks away from the docks, close to small businesses and coffee!

Found this place so I booked a room and though let's try it out. Its cute right off main street. Easy walking to local places. It was quiet and the room was clean and comfortable. Host was polite and friendly when you asked questions. Its all single level and has a shower only which works great for me. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to stay again in the future. The office space seemed very small but just check in and your done. Looking forward to more stays in the future.

As far as Motels go, this place was right on. Single story, about 15 rooms, one block from downtown MORRO BAY! Run by a really sweet little Asian women. Room was clean, had a a nice touch. I felt very comfortable. Very small shower but okay for me. Week day price was sweet! I motorcycled from Los Angeles and stayed two nights - just to cruise up and down Highway 1. Gonna do it again sometime this summer. I thank the owner for a wonderful stay.

My fiancé and I stayed here the weekend of April 11th-13th and we had a wonderful experience! The owner was very sweet and made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Each room had a vanity separate from the bathroom (which I loved since it made doing my makeup a little more fun) and each bed had a Magic Fingers Massager attached! It was relaxing to use at the end of the day, and I'm glad that the owners have kept the nostalgic device to this day. Overall, we would definitely recommend staying here and will likely be coming back again in the future!

I called the Beach Bungalow Inn & Suites directly and spoke with the manager, Gabriell J. She was a total professional. I was stressed and upset, but her calm and helpful demeanor completely turned things around. She went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of through the hotel itself. Lesson learned: always book directly! Not only is the customer service superior, but you get a better price, too. I will absolutely book directly with them for my next trip to Morrow Bay!

I was supposed to receive a text or email with check in instructions and also a door code for the room. I received a call on the day of check in regarding this. I told the person on the phone that I had not received either and she assured me that I would receive one before the 3 pm check in. I did not receive the text. When we arrived to the property at the 3 pm check in, we tried to check in at the office but there was no one there. We found the manager cleaning a room. She informed us that she was the one that had called me. So apparently she runs the office and also serves as housekeeping. We went back and forth trying to reset the door code, and during this time, she was also was stressing about cleaning the vacated rooms on time. At the end of everything, she ended up offering us physical keys after all. Physical keys would have prevented the whole 30 min delay! Also, my ID was never checked, and I never had to sign anything regarding incidentals or policies which is usually the norm when you check in to a hotel. My word was just taken for my identity. Now to the room itself. It was perfectly clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a tub/shower combo and small sink. No storage space so be aware of that. There was a fridge, coffee machine and coffee, creamer and sugar provided. There was a TV and fireplace. It was a really cute space. This Inn is also super close to the Embarcadero, restaurants, beaches, etc.

While we love supporting local places by going out to eat, it is also a perfect place to make your own dinner, put the umbrella up on the patio table, and enjoy dinner on your deck. It is also great for morning coffee and watching the boats go out for the day. They stock coffee and tea in the kitchen, but there is also a little coffee shop next door. I love going over, grabbing a Mexican Mocha and a bagel, and sitting outside in the morning. A couple of things worth noting are that Units A and B share a deck with only a partial separation, which opens up the view of the bay for both units. There is one regular parking spot and one handicapped spot, but three rooms, so someone has to park on the street. However, parking is free and unlimited, so that wasn't an issue for us. Things are quiet a good amount of the time, but it is on the Embarcadero, so it can also be noisy from the restaurants nearby at times. It is further down from the busiest part of the Embarcadero, so things aren't crazy down here. Still, it is only a one-mile walk--or a three-minute drive--to the Rock, and the cute little movie theater is just half a mile away alongside countless shops off the Embarcadero. Everything is within easy walking distance. If you want to stay in, the couch is a futon, and my son says it isn't too uncomfortable to sleep on. We all fight over who sits in the armchair--it is a perfect reading chair. We highly recommend staying here. We stayed here for a week last summer and this summer.
