Dresser with mini fridge and microwave inside Keurig coffee
    Lisa D.

4/5 stars for location- right in the heart of everything we wanted to be near. We had a great partial view of the rock, sturdy patio furniture, and love hearing the sea lions 3/5 stars for the room- hubby and I feel it was clean enough/ big enough, but outdated. Our room had 2 queen beds in it. They were both equally uncomfortable. Very old school springy, and not at all conducive to a restful and comfortable night sleep. The other issue was the size of the toilet and the vanity tile shelf that runs the length of the bathroom When I first saw the shelf I was like- oh that's nice for all my stuff- but if anyone in your party is not tiny, you will not enjoy this Hubby had to take tp out of holders to even have room to sit down, and had to put his arm on the ledge. He has named this the hobit toilet. We went and asked Lisa if all rooms had the same tight spaces with that shelf. She said all rooms were the same, and pointed to her boyfriend saying he doesn't fit either. We weren't expecting any breakfast- but you get a slip of paper for each morning to fill out by 10 the night before for a few take away nibbles. We didn't utilize this during our stay There was a nice enclosed observation room with a lovely view of the rock- thinking this would be nice if it was too cold on the patio, or if you invited friends over, or were staying here with friends, and didn't want to visit/share some drinks in your hotel room. The furniture in it wasn't that comfortable, so thinking one wouldn't sit there too long The room has a very tiny fridge- think college dorm and a microwave tucked away inside the dresser. Room has a Keurig in it- Lisa said just come by the front desk anytime we wanted more pods or tea. She asked us if we wanted maid service while we were here. We said we didn't and that we would keep the do not disturb sign out. Lisa said she would let housekeeping know, and to feel free to ask for towels at anytime There is no ac, and 1 tiny fan. The first night we were so hot, it's better if we keep the slider open and get the breeze and the songs of the sea lions We didn't have any problems with parking our whole visit- we were here in October during the off season. To us- quality sleep is a must, so we did spend time going to other hotels and checking out their mattresses. Not what we had planned for our little getaway

My husband and I were on a road trip up the coast, and we spent the first night in Morro Bay.  The room was nice.  I especially loved the long counter in the bathroom where I could put all of my toiletries.  There was a fridge and microwave, as well as a coffee maker.  It is in a prime location right by the Embarcadero.  It is walking distance to so many restaurants and stores.  We checked in across the street, which was a little odd.  They provide a grab and go breakfast and let you choose which items you'd like.  We chose orange juice, string cheese, granola bars, and a muffin.  The muffin was hard, but everything else was decent.  We enjoyed our stay in Morro Bay!

We came at Christmas time, we usually stay in the other wing that is above Embarcadero, but I would defiantly stay in room 307 again. I loved the added touch that there was a small Christmas Tree on the desk. Rooms are clean, staff are attentive, I wish they would go back to the breakfast they used to have.

Amazing stay at this great gem in Morro Bay. My brother Jeff recommended it and boy 'O' boy do I see why! The location Slays!!! Amazing views and close to everything! The staff was amazing and so was Molly! The room was fantastic and and very comfy! We shall return!

Perfectly located on the main strip of Morro Bay. Just a short walk and you have access to the waterfront. The staff was very friendly! The room was nice and clean. My only dislike was that the bed was a bit too firm for my liking. That's my only complaint. Theu offer a free breakfast which is a simple selection of prepackaged items from a local shop. The hotel is also located on a hill so if you have issues with walking up or down inclines, I would suggest driving down the block to access the shopping and restrestaurants.

Stayed in room 109. King with a balcony. Great view of the rock. Didn't hear any sound other than the seals. So close to Embarcadero (the main drag). Cool spot.

We recently stayed at the Blue Sail Inn while my husband & his friends participated in the Lighthouse Century. We reserved an Ocean View w/king bed. The room was large & comfortable with a great view of Morro Rock. The bed was a bit soft for us but we only stayed one night. The ladies in the lobby were very friendly & helpful. Breakfast consisted of a choice of two items + a juice that you picked up in the lobby at a pre-designated time set by you. We went with the Edna's pastry, which unfortunately, were inedible (very unusual for Edna's but they really were horrible). The location is right-off the Embarcadero but still very quiet. A quick walk to places like Dorn's or the Hofbrau. The building is secure, accessed only by your room card, which we appreciated.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. It was a wonderful experience! Location was perfect, right accross the street from the Embarcadero. Everything was within walking distance. So close that rather than wait in short line for public restroom, was quicker to walk back to our room. And having private balcony with view of harbor was nice. Not a new, fancy, 5 star hotel but was perfect for our needs. Front desk staff were very personable and helpful. Gave great recommendations and answered questions we had regarding stores, restaurants, etc. I will say, their bagged, continental breakfast was disappointing but Dorns (notorious breakfast spot) is right next door. Will definitely stay there again.

How is the WIFI? The wifi was horrible at the last place we stayed in Morro Bay and we will not be returning there though other aspects of the room were ok, though by no means perfect. So we are trying to find an alternative motel to stay next time.

It works great I even work from here quite often and no problems.

I called the Beach Bungalow Inn & Suites directly and spoke with the manager, Gabriell J. She was a total professional. I was stressed and upset, but her calm and helpful demeanor completely turned things around. She went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of through the hotel itself. Lesson learned: always book directly! Not only is the customer service superior, but you get a better price, too. I will absolutely book directly with them for my next trip to Morrow Bay!

I had read several reviews for this place saying how comfortable the beds were and how nice the rooms were. At that time the nicest woman showed us every room layout they had, even let us sit on the beds to test out the comfort level. The beds we sat on were way better than the other place. We also liked the different layouts of the rooms- the one with 2 separate bedrooms and the one with the kitchenette were our favorites- but we felt, at the time we could enjoy any of the rooms. They are also dog friendly if you aren't in the kitchenette room The reviews from before talked about a wonderful breakfast brought to your room each morning. When I mentioned it, the woman said they just discontinued that- the woman who was making the items had gone back to school in the mornings. She said they would be giving each guest a breakfast voucher for various small businesses in the area. This sounded like a great way to try out new places I asked if all the rooms had a fridge and microwave. We were assured they all did We booked thru a 3rd party for this trip. We stayed 3 nights- arriving Monday around 5 pm of Thanksgiving week There was a young man in the office when we arrived who said we were the last to check in for the evening He gave us our room keys and showed us the map on the wall to direct us to our rooms. He also told us parking is first come first served. We went to our room to store our belongings before heading out to dinner. I didn't see a microwave in my room- a must for my neck and back warmer for a recent injury. I went back to the office to request one. I was told he would look for one and get back to us. He came to our room 5 minutes later saying he couldn't find one. I explained I had been promised one by the nice lady when we came to look at the inn- he said she no longer worked there. That he had only been there a week He said he would call his manager and get back to us- but he left for the night without an update We asked him how to work the fireplace- but he didn't know We also asked to not have the maids come to the room while we were out. He said they don't come at all during your stays There is a binder in the room that tells you about the fireplace, as well as the location of some lockers to get "amenities" The locker has towels, tp, tissues.... There were also bikes and body boards available for use The rooms have been updated- but once in the room, it didn't seem to us that they were done well The bathroom floor is very slippery- we had to lay down towels for safety. The shower was not hot thru the whole stay- and water pressure is almost nonexistent There is a sign up in the bathroom about a 5 minute shower- no way you would get the conditioner out of your hair with no water pressure The fireplace wasn't working well... the tiniest of red on a log- and you can't really enjoy it from the bed. The tv is mounted above the fireplace- but it doesn't swivel- so you can't see it well from the bed The WiFi is a joke The beds were not as comfy as other guests reported- more were they as nice as the ones we had been shown a few weeks ago. We were in room 3 pacifica- they showed us rooms on the other side of the hotel The 2nd day we found a nice woman working in the office who was able to bring us a microwave. She did there were about 6 in the storage area. I asked if maybe the first guy didn't know where to look- she said that's where they always keep them. She stayed to make sure it worked when we plugged it in- the whole outlet didn't work in the front room The ironing board was broken- we were going to use it as a shelf for storage. The closest only had 1 hanger in it and 1 bathrobe. Which seemed odd there wouldn't have been 2. The coffee was in tiny refillable canisters. We brought our own coffee maker and coffee so wasn't an issue for us- but we both thought it didn't seem sanitary The fridge never did get cold enough- even though we had it on the coldest setting- so we ended up mostly using our big beach cooler In the 2nd day they cut back all the palm trees- grateful the woman who brought us the microwave warned us and we were able to move our car. We asked her if they would trim the ones right in front of our room- we had several stairs up to get in our room- and the palm fronds would smack you in the face when you tried to carry your stuff in and out. They did cut that back- very helpful But we were stuck in our room while the work was done. It was very loud There was always plenty of parking We didn't feel the beds we had were as comfortable as the ones in the other side of the inn- in room 3 the queen sized bed felt better then the king When we checked out it was another young man who also seemed new and inexperienced Hoping there is more training for the entire staff so everyone is on the same page

You can tell they've put effort into keeping it fresh and comfortable. The staff? Also...major bonus points for being dog-friendly. My pup was living his best life here. Now, let's talk breakfast. Or...my lack of breakfast. If you're plant-based, your options are basically: * Toast * Fruit * Plain oatmeal (if you're feeling adventurous) Meanwhile, my dog was over there enjoying what I like to call "my breakfast." Day one: cheese omelette. Day two: scrambled eggs and potatoes. Honestly, he was thrilled. I get that it's a standard hotel breakfast setup, but in 2026, throwing in one solid vegan option doesn't feel like a wild ask. Even a simple oatmeal bar or plant-based protein would go a long way. That said, everything else about the stay was great - clean, comfortable, welcoming, and easy. I'd absolutely stay here again... I'll just plan to bring my own breakfast.
