We stayed here because we thought it was a BNB. It wasn't and it was a fairly small and clean Inn. It was one block from the water and in the center of town. Everything was within walking distance. Our room was on the second floor and the room was large. The heater worked mostly and the room had a fridge and microwave. This is a hidden gem! We stayed for two nights in a corner unit. Considering it was Memorial Day weekend, you would think the hotel would be loud as every room was booked. If there were "10" Stars, that is what I would give this Hotel. First time here, both @ the Hotel and in Cayucos and I was overjoyed at the experience all the way around. Walking distance to the beach with stair access, through a residential area. Grounds were impeccably kept and they were doggie friendly, so I could get my wag fix on w/all the 4 legged nuggets. Lobby very inviting and the Customer Service and front desk staff were outstanding, very warm, kind and thoughtful. Again, 10 Stars. "Albert" front desk person was my go to guy. He clearly loves his job and has been there for many, many years. Shout out to Albert. I always prefer a top floor unit, in the front or back, away from the hustle and bustle. Albert let me look at a few rooms, before I made my choice. Which was the top floor, end unit, facing the street with a little Cafe Table and Chairs outside my door. It was absolutely exquisite, quiet, tastefully decorated and quite an oasis away from home (San Francisco). And quiet as a Church Mouse. GREAT value for all the amenities and well worth many more visits in the future. I did not partake of the breakfast offerings in the lobby. Room Keurig Coffee machine "Great Coffee" was perfect and w/the Frig, Micro and sink in the living room (of this unit), I had all I needed. Warning, the Micro is something like 1200 Watts and heats up super fast. So be careful w/heating food and drinks too long. Looking to have a little getaway, relax, smell the ocean breeze and have a sunset walk in the sand, look no further than this Inn in Cayucos. Walking distance to town and beach. Enough in town to keep you busy and engaged and a few nice restaurants, coffee shops and stores to snoop in. Easy driving distance to both Morro Bay and Cambria. read more

Flew into town for a friends wedding. Not a familiar place I was used to visiting in CA. But the second I have to check and I got to walk on the beach and I did that every morning that I was there. I got to spend time at different shops and was greeted by different people, locals and visitors. Even got to stop by the local farmers market and Vintage Machinery Association. You can see the ocean and there is very close ocean access. I forgot my pillow and the staff was so nice about helping get it back to me. Perfect weekend getaway for me and my family the rooms were large, spacious and clean. In the morning they serve coffee and pastries and their coffee really good compared to most hotels. It is really close to the beach access on their street and still close enough to downtown which makes for a nice and quiet stay. I booked this place directly from their website and they had some promotions, so I ended up getting a good deal for a 2 night stay. Pet fee is pretty minimal compared to other beach towns which is great. Check in was easy and there's plenty of parking. The room was large and spacious and very clean. Each room also has a bench outside the door. We could see the ocean right from outside the room. I loved the pet area, made it really easy for the pet. They also have a pet wash area, although I didn't use it. The Inn is 0.4 miles from the pier and downtown area where most dining places are, although the mini mart and SeaShanty restaurant are right next door which was pretty convenient. read more

Beautifully kept and the room was spacious. Dog friendly. The door even had a peep hole at about eight inches from the bottom so the dog can see who is knocking. As if a dog would need that! Right?!? Great location! Everything that you need in this adorable town is within close walking distance...beach access, restaurants, antique stores, and a grocery store. We had an English Lab with us and he was welcomed everywhere. Cayucos is very dog friendly! The room was attractive & clean. All of the staff was friendly and accommodating. They even have a grassy area with a fire hydrant for dogs . The only complaint I have is there needs to be signs telling people to be quiet between 11pm-8am. I was awoken at 6:30 am by a family that was having coffee and laughs on the lawn in front of our room. Other than that, our stay in Cayucos was perfect. read more

This was our second time staying at Cayucos and both times we had book a stay at Cayucos Beach Inn. We love that this place spacious, comfortable, convenient and dog friendly. There is a small "peep-hole" for our dog! The beds are comfortable and so are the pillows. They have a microwave and fridge in each room. And the lobby has pastries, bananas, apples and a Nespresso machine! And staff are always super friendly! Stayed overnight memorial weekend Sunday to Monday. Room 102. Not bad. Clean and comfortable. Great location to beach, shops, restaurants and antiquing. First floor rooms are a bit noisy since the walls are paper thin. Good coffee in the lobby available 24/7 and friendly staff. Very affordable considering how close you are to the beach. HOWEVER this room is next to the washers the cleaning crew uses for the room. At 9:30pm they decided to do laundry and not only is super noisy the walls started to vibrate. We called front desk and they stopped it immediately. This, along with the Sasquatches in the room above us made this stay our first and last. read more

This hotel was nice. However the over $600 dollars Albert and Asher stole from me and my family was not. The quoted amount for my rooms was misjudged my Asher (who Albert claimed made a mistake) I was then told if I cancelled my rooms he would charge me anyway because it wasn't a 72 hour notice. Even though it wasn't my fault. It was lack of customer service. As Albert laughed at me when I requested my money back I quickly realized what he was doing. So we were stuck there. At almost triple what our quoted rate was. I showed him the email. He disregarded it. Refusing to acknowledge that he should fix their mistake. The maid staff was anything but friendly. I sent an email to the hotel property. No response. But since Albert let me know he's worked there for 15 years and I wouldn't hear from any one I decided to come here. I booked a room to watch the local Ironman competition. Unfortunately I had an unexpected emergency in the early morning and knew I wasn't going to be able to head up north. I called that morning ... no answer. I emailed ... no reply. I called for a third time and got Dylan. I explain that I couldn't make it that day but wanted to reschedule for a later date (to enjoy the central coast). He explained that I was within the cancellation window just as I was trying to explain that I wasn't cancelling but rescheduling. He proceeded to talk over me (quoting their cancellation policy over and over) and raising his voice at me. He ended with "this is standard policy for all hotels" ... really .. as a previous hotel manager for Westin's and Marriott hotels, I was more surprised on how he responded and less on the policy! I replied "as someone who was in the hotel industry I never spoken to or raised my voice to a customer in that way" So Cayucos Beach Inn, you have lost my business completely due to your poor customer service. Sad because we spend a lot time traveling up to the central coast to visit family. Educate your staff. read more

Place has extremely nice staff and is dog friendly, which is what keeps us coming back. Rooms are always very clean and I have never had an issue with noise. It's so close to the water, that I walk on the beach in the morning and evening every single day of my stay. I will continue to come back. Prices are very reasonable for the amenities. If I could recommend one thing, it would be the use of a different sheet for the bed. There was no fitted sheet and the regular bedsheet placed on top of the bed, to substitute for the fitted sheet, would consistently get untucked. read more

The beds here are super duper comfy. As soon as we got inside our room and sat down on the bed...I immediately knocked out. Lol. Our room (#120; double queen) was very clean. The maids did a great job at the decor too. I love when they create animals out the towels and cloths. The room comes with a standard TV, small dining table and chairs and desk area. There was no chair at the desk, so it was kind of redundant to have. Bathroom was small but clean. Nice, hot water pressure and plenty of clean towels and wash cloths for 2 people. There is a community area where you can lounge outside and bbq and the hotel also provides a free complimentary breakfast from 730-10am everyday. I also liked that they had plenty of free parking. And in the event that you come at a busy time, there's street parking as well. The only downside was the walls are very thin. You can hear your neighbor's TV or the kids running up and down the halls. read more

Stayed here back in March 2022... very clean room, very nice staff. There was no surprise charges. We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite & it was very roomy. There was a separate living room with a comfy couch (loveseat size) there was even a cute table and chairs in the Living-room area where we were able to enjoy take out. There's a nice counter with a sink & a mini fridge within the living room area. Nice separate vanity with a sink in the hallway, the restroom is private & has the shower/tub and has its own door with another sink. The beach is near by & it's walking distance (opposite end of the pier) but we drove to the pier at night to walk on that end of the beach. The only thing I would recommend is updated mattresses as the bed was a bit springy & the mini fridge was outdated. The cost is great and the customer service and cleanliness far outweighs the very small imperfections. read more

Clean rooms. Dog friendly. Wood floors so the beach remnants don't get too nasty in your room. It's just a short walk across the street and a small dog park to a beautiful path that accesses to the beach. Ownership and staff here are very friendly and attentive. Our rooms had issues with the shower curtains and bathroom lights, and they were able to resolve them for us. Breakfast features fresh bear claws from the Pieman and they are delicious. What's convenient about staying here is that it's across the street from the Sea Shanty - one of our favorite dinner spots. As this place can get full, we can put our name on the list, then go back to our room and chill until our table is ready. We've been coming to Cayucos for several years now, and the Cayucos Beach Inn is probably our favorite. read more

Looks great from the outside and a nice location! Friendly staff! Room was subpar. We had an outdated room that clearly had dogs staying here at one point as we could smell their pee spots. I know they allow animals and charge a big fee for their "cleaning" so no excuse for that in my opinion if you're charging people. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows were awful! So hard they felt like rolled up sheets in a pillow case. The double sink had two different fixtures and various mismatched furnishings. Bedding was not good quality and made me appreciate my target sheets more back home. We were on the bottom floor and you could hear the second floor people walking around easily. Super annoying and made it hard to sleep! Would not recommend this nice looking place unfortunately. read more
