Maryland Managment had my review removed, so let me say again: PLEASE LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS!!…read moreThis is the worst place i have ever lived. IF YOU ARE BEING HARASSED THEY DO NOT CARE! Maryland Management does not care at all if you are consistently being harassed as long as the person harassing you pays their rent. I had to call them multiple times and they never did a thing, basically saying that it's not important enough to deal with the person harassing me. I had to move because of this. I moved before my lease was up. You would also be paying for the school district, not quality. There are zero amenities... don't listen to the website. They mention basketball courts, but they aren't even on their property. It's community property elsewhere. This place is completely awful.

They caused a water leak from the second floor bathroom to the first floor, which damaged the ceiling downstairs; the tiling and grout in the bathroom was installed extremely uneven and crooked; they cracked the toilet sewage waste pipe while trying to uninstall the old flange; they installed a fractured joint for the new shower plumbing; and they used an older technology that most other contractors (that we've talked to to fix everything) no longer use to finish the shower pan. And that was just the bathroom!! In the other rooms, they damaged the doors while trying to install new door hinges and painted them with the wrong type of paint, the paint is peeling off on every door (not even two months after they were painted). The crew installed new ceiling lights (which we now have to pull a permit for ourselves since the contractor "didn't plan on doing it")(also they are an older canister style fixture that is still produced but not the most modern thing; they don't sit flush with the ceiling) that are not properly secured to the ceiling, so they pose a falling hazard, PLUS the crew removed the cases from each light fixture where the wires are supposed to be protected, so now there are exposed, very lightly protected wires that pose a fire hazard if their coating gets sheered (which is apparently pretty easy to do since the wires aren't properly protected), PLUS they failed to staple the wires down (despite repeated reassurances from the contractor that they had) which only exacerbates the previous issue of a potential fire hazard. In addition to the craftsmanship concerns, the contractor's crew was ultimately very unprofessional. They sat a heavy saw down on hardwood floor in one of the bedrooms and operated it there, causing noticeable scratches to the floor; they smoked indoors without any sort of permission; they threw cigarette butts in the driveway, street and flowerbed in front of the house; they used our personal gardening tools to mix concrete and then failed to wash the concrete off properly; they poured excess concrete next to the side of the house (where it solidified on the grass).

Since I'm not familiar with painting or wall repair, I asked my boyfriend--who has 25 years of construction experience--to speak with him about the scope and cost. My boyfriend, who is currently stationed overseas, was able to negotiate the price down to $1,800. Bill claimed that $600 of that was just for materials. Given that cost, I expected the walls to be properly prepped, primed with drywall primer, and imperfections repaired. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. While I appreciate that his team removed the old shelving, they left the hose mount on the wall and got paint on the door frame. They also failed to leave me the extra paint I had paid for, which I needed to address missed spots and repairs. I reached out to Bill via text three times. He initially said he would bring the extra paint but then stopped responding. I ultimately had to take a piece of damaged wall to Sherwin-Williams to get a color match and fix it myself. To make matters worse, when I expressed my concerns and asked him to speak with my boyfriend directly, he was dismissive and unprofessional. I've since had other painters look at the job, and they agreed I was overcharged for the quality of work delivered. Lesson learned: If you decide to hire this company, make sure you're either knowledgeable about painting or have someone experienced with you to avoid being taken advantage of--especially when it comes to labor and material costs.

I called to learn more about the sample I received and the man that answered the call was knowledgeable and helpful. I drove from DC to Arnold to go and look at additional pieces of the tile. I had kept the original sample and when I got the actual floor I laid out a few pieces to check the color....seemed okay. After the floor was installed I noticed raised bumps on the entire floor and it looked dirty. The owner came out and tested the floor and said it was probably grout haze and suggested a cleaner. The cleaner didn't change the bumps or haze. Over the next 3 months we have been back and forth with the owner a few times, a rep even came by and said she couldn't see a problem despite the difference from the original sample to what I received that I showed her. She claimed she saw not problem. I contacted the owner via text and explained the experience and was never answered. I had suggested that the tile was possibly defective in my note. I was aware there might be a health problem in his family so I let a month go by and still never heard back. I called again this week and said I just wanted to find a solution even if it was other tile cleaners to try. He would never address/admit or take responsibility for the tile looking defective. Despite knowing I have an example of original sample and what was delivered. I think it is not good business to not stand by your product. I have since had another local company look at the sample and installed floor and they agree the tile is defective but Atlas has just dismissed the whole thing. Now I have a floor that is not what I purchased and was told it was not their problem. The other issue with the company is you do not stick with the same sales person through the selling process. This results in one person not taking responsibility for your purchase. I experienced just a bunch of people pointing fingers at each other and not taking responsibility for the sale to their customer. I would never recommend this company.
