We booked an apartment tour exactly one week in advance, specifying the layouts we'd like to tour, and received an appointment confirmation email the same day. Upon arrival the morning of our tour, after a 40 minute drive to the complex, we are told that there are no apartments available to tour. Not even alternative layouts. The woman said she could go over pricing and amenities with us (information that we'd already viewed online). She also remarked "I thought you'd call." Why would we call? We were under the impression our tour was confirmed, per the confirmation email. Very frustrating to have wasted such a large portion of our morning. Needless to say, we won't be rescheduling. If this is suitable communication for prospective residents, I can't imagine the standards for communication with existing residents. read more

I've lived here 4 weeks. Here's my accurate experience. 1. Drunk neighbor tried to enter my apartment pushing my door partially open. Cops arrested him and took him to jail. 2. Every single day my shower curtains falls down during my shower...every day. The maintenance man, ANTHONY, agreed the tension shower rods are cheap so he told me to buy my own. I pay $3,094 a month. Come on...throw me a bone. 3. The microwave was broken when I came. 4. The dust on the windows in the main bedroom was so dirty! Never touched in years. So gross. 5. The oven bottom storage drawer has built up grime for years. Buying plastic gloves so I can clean. Even grosser. 6. Hot water? No...warm. Even when you ask for the temperature to be raised on the hot water heater. I think I pay for it right? 7. From the guy trying to break in, the front door lock was compromised. The man maintenance person, ANTHONY, signed off it was perfect and never touched it. The second maintenance man said yes, this is not good. He fixed it. I could go on and on. I'm just disappointed. Really disappointed. And parking is horrible. Be ready for door dents from spaces being so tight. My rating is not good. read more

After three years of living here, I had high hopes that the management team would improve but unfortunately that is not the case. The space and location make the apartment nice, however, whenever I need maintenance assistance or when it comes to loud noise and music coming from units around mine, the leasing office does nothing. I have reached out multiple times about the same issues, yet all of my calls and emails continue to go unanswered and I am left to listen to pounding music during quiet hours and working hours all days of the week. For the amount of money they change you would think they would have the residents best interest since this is my home as well. read more

Annapolis Renters Beware! I went back and forth about posting this review since moving out in October, but I feel it's important that before renting at Stone Point Apartments prospective tenants have a full picture of what they are getting. When I first moved in, I was happy, but the property has declined significantly since. I was a tenant for 3 1/2 years, and while the amenities were nice, there were many negative experiences. Even after escalating my concerns to the Bozutto regional manager, Nathan Veliz, there was no response or resolution. There seems to be no oversight on this property. 1. Assistant property manager- From day one I found Roxanne to be one of the rudest, most condescending people in customer service I've ever met. She does not even seem to enjoy her job and I'm honestly not entirely sure why she's there. My sister rented a unit at the property for a year and had the same experience. I had to bring her behavior to management's attention during my time there. 2. Maintenance and property upkeep decline - When I first moved into the complex maintenance was on point. There seems to have been a lot of turnover and now it takes much longer for work to be completed and they are often not resolved after a single request. The property used to be maintained nicely - breezeways were cleaned regularly and landscaping was happening constantly. This is no longer the case. Gym equipment is often broken, the car wash station in disrepair, birds nest in the ventilation and the breezeways are full of leaves and debris. 3. Ant infestation - I have seen other tenants comment on this same issue. The apartment doors are not well sealed with weather stripping. As a result, tenants can expect to have ants entering the unit through the kitchen and balcony. The exterminator inspections don't address this issue. It was an ongoing. 4. Tenants leave garbage outside the apartments - Because many tenants leave garbage bags outside of their units overnight, they often attract wild animals. Raccoons are not only found lurking around the dumpsters; I had several incidents of seeing raccoons climbing the stairs! When I brought it to the attention of management they found it funny. No one removed it. 5. Tenants do not clean up after their pets - There is a designated area for tenants to take their dogs and bags are provided to dispose of waste. This isn't enforced. 6. Vandalism in the breezeways - There are not cameras in the breezeways, so don't put anything on or around your door that you don't mind being damaged or stolen. I had two expensive wreaths destroyed. Management offered a gift card that I was never given. 7. Not a smoke free or drug-free community -There are designated smoking areas that no one seems to use. People smoke in their apartments, on balconies and hallways and not only cigarettes!!! 8. Carpeting in units sometimes not replaced for up to 8 years! - When I left I was charged a prorated amount of the carpet life to have it replaced. They claimed the carpet there costs $2000 and should last 5 to 8 years (which it certainly does not; it's very cheap and badly installed). Does anyone else think that's kind of disgusting? Would you want to live in a space with 8 year old carpet full of other people's dirt, dust, stains, pet hair and dander, etc? I had my unit and carpet professionally cleaned and was still charged. 9. Don't expect your security deposit back -Stone Point charges up to $50/month per pet for pet rent, plus a security deposit, plus a pet deposit. I paid $3600 in pet rent over 45 months plus $650 of security deposits. When I moved out I was charged a prorated amount of the life of my carpet and for damage I was not responsible for. Take photos when you move in and before you move out! 10. Bozzuto clearly does not care about Stone Point - they manage several other properties in the Annapolis metro area. These are overseen by a regional manager. This gentleman did not bother to respond to my issues with my departure and delay in getting my security deposit back. read more

I lived in stone point for about a year and a half, ending in August 2015. The management had a lot of turnover in the time that I lived there, with the exception of the assistant manager Roxanne. The professionalism of the team never dipped despite all the personnel changes. Whether that's Roxanne's doing, or Bozzuto's training program I can't say. I could sit here and nitpick about little things, but bottom line, having lived in a few locations in Annapolis, I don't think you're likely to find a better apartment in town. As for the little things: the heating and ventilation system in my apartment was a little below average. The fan didn't quite push all the air to the farthest room, resulting in a bedroom that was 10 degrees cooler in winter and 10 hotter in summer. Parking was also sometimes messy. It usually wasn't too bad as long as the neighbors followed the rules, but every now and then some people would take a garage spot they weren't entitled to the night before a snowstorm, betting on the tow truck not showing up. With such a small lot for such a big building, you have to accept you might walk a bit if you get home from work at 7:30. That being said, the management was taking measures as I left to address parking problems, which seemed promising. In conclusion, please refer to paragraph number 2. No place is perfect. In Annapolis, I'm pretty sure this is as close to perfect as you'll find. Thanks Roxanne, Lauren and co. for a great couple of years! read more

Doing a follow up here as it's very apparent that there's significant lack of follow through on commitments. The community reached out to me after I reached out to regional management and asked when I would be available for discussion. My big question is why do I get attention when I reach out to regional but not before. Went in to update some information in the system on my account and while I was there some questions about my post were asked. There seemed to be more of a concern about what I did for a living (sizing up my ability and resources to cause problems). Let them know family was full of lawyers, not as a threat but if you want to size up what kind of trouble I could be I thought I'd just show the cards. In addition to probing on who I was there was a question on the traffic encounters and that I should let them know who it was and they would get back to me on it. Unfortunately it's hard to provide names of people you don't know and the only encounter is when they're trying to run you down. That said I was able to provide the photo of the vehicle and license plate. No follow up. Info was provided a couple of weeks ago. Seems like lip service. Regional management and I spoke about the concerns I had. Informed me that the trash in the halls were likely because of the death of a Federal Agent who lived here. I responded informing regional management that the trash issue is at a multitude of apartments not just one. Also, not sure why the death of someones family member should be made public to other residents this seems like a private matter to me. Regional management took my comment about speed bumps well but informed me that they were unable to put them in for some reason. Regional management themselves didn't know why. Apparently speed bumps were attempted a few years ago and were unable to be put in. Was informed they would follow up with me about why they couldn't be put in if they were unable to do so. No follow up. Also not certain that there are a ton of reasons why this couldn't be put in. Other apartments have speed bumps as do shopping centers. Maybe it's a snow thing but they have them installed in New England and Canada. Regional management let me know that I shouldn't be reaching out to regional management as I had only spoken with the Assistant Manager at the property. Where I work and have worked Assistant Managers and Managers work hand-in-glove. Sadly more and more I see that this isn't the case. Not just here but other customer facing businesses as well. The local office ultimately setup some time to speak with me about the posting after I setup time to speak with regional. We agreed to a date and time when they were to call. Unfortunately the call came later than agreed to (more than a few minutes) and I got pulled into another meeting. Sadly there was no notification they were pulled into a meeting, no apology for calling late on the voice mail and there has been no further follow up. It seems like customer service is just hollow words with no action. An attempt to make you feel good but if action is needed it's not really going to happen. Living at Stone point has been pretty awful. There is NO security, and bikes/tires/cars get stolen and broken into on a regular bases. Bozzuto knows but does not do anything about it, and it has been going on for at least 6 years. They also trap you into staying in the apt and paying more if you do not give 60 days notice on leaving. Who knows 60 days ahead of time if there will be another place to suit your needs? No places are available that far ahead of time for 60 days later. There is not enough parking at this facility and I was towed from the garage I have a parking permit for (costs $400). Also I had cockroaches come up my sink, yes- my sink. You can hear your neighbors upstairs like they were right on top of you, it is very loud. I do not recommend this place. The events and pool are nice, but I'd rather feel secure/bug free in my own home. read more

I couldn't decide if I should rate this place as a 1 or 2 star since there are a couple nice things about the property. The property looks beautiful and the location is perfect but it's all down hill after that. I lived there for two plus years and recently moved. I moved because I am in the military and got orders but I would have moved anyways. I have lived all over the DMV area and I never paid soo much in rent. But I though I was going to get what I paid for, a very nice place with lots of nice things.. Pool.. Clubhouse and so on. You do not get what you pay for here. On Bozzuto's website and all through the apartments club house are quotes like this one "It's simple. We put our residents first. We work hard each and every day to ensure our residents' complete satisfaction and to make sure our communities are places people are proud to call home. That genuine concern for people who choose to live in a Bozzuto community is a cornerstone of our company." But they do not follow through with this statement and if you move there, you will quickly learn that too. We had so may problems here and so many lies told to us. My building I lived in had a roach problem but the manager told me that nobody else ever complained of any so it was just us. I later found this to be false when I started talking to other people who lived there that had roach problems and was told the same thing from management. Even the exterminator who only got paid to spray a couple spots told us our building had a huge problem but management wouldn't do nothing about it. My last 6months living there we had to live out of plastic containers and ziplock bags because the roaches were so bad. I even called buzzoto and they did nothing about it. Before we ever saw any in our apartment, we saw them in the hallways outside, when i told the manager (I will be nice and not say her name, I will just call her Manager R) and she told me, "oh, those are not the roaches you are thinking of, they are just wood roaches" I responded with, "a roach is a roach and I dont want any of them in my apartment!' but they still did nothing. Crime had sky rocketed since we first moved in. For the $ we spend in rent, they could pay to have a night security guard or security cameras. Even fake cameras with signs stating there is video cameras around the property would help and I even suggested this to buzzoto, what did they do? They sent an email out saying there are two local cops that livein the apartment complex and that will have a beeper so if something happens, they will get to us quicker, "if they are around". That's not going to help stop Crime? Its not! Last year management told everyone about a guy that pretended to work for them and nocked on a ladies door, she let him in and he robbed her. Thats all that was said. What they didnt say was he rubbed her at gun point, pistol whipped her. They didnt even post the sketch drawing of the person that was made accessable by the police. They completely down played it. People are jumping the first floor balconies and stealing things, taking knives to chairs and cutting them up, one lady had her motorized wheelchair cut up. People are spray painting walls and steeling cars and tires, especially in the parking garage. The type of people they rent to has also changed. It use to be a fairly quite place to live and raise a family, now there are always loud parties, loud music, domestics and so forth going one. The trash dumpsters are always over flowing and smelling. It's such an eye sore and it brings the wild life from the woods into the property.. Foxes, raccoons and more. the two young ladies that work at the office are very friendly and nice, so are the maintenance guys but the manager lady that starts with an R is always very rude, you can tell that even alot of the staff do not like her. The second time my rent went up, I was told the wrong new price so I was off by 2 or 3 dollars my first months rent. The manager with an R, called me and left me a rude message saying I was late on 2-3 dollars and was going to have to pay a late fee and if I didn't pay by the end of the week, by law she would have to take me to court. Then a year later when my rent went up again, little did I know I was paying alot OVER what I should of been, but this time manager R never ever said anything... Months later when I got a puppy and went to pay my $300 pet deposit, she tells me, oh.. I've been meaning to tell you, you are paying too much in rent so you have a $400 plus credit. So when I owed $2 it was a big deal but when they had $400 of MY money, it was no rush to tell me. If you decide to go look at this place to rent, it will look nice from the outside (they repaint everything and plant new flowers almost every month even in the winter) but trust me it is not. Even if they cut rent in half, I would never move back there and I will never rent from a buzzoto owned apartment complex ever again. read more

What a refreshing change of pace from typical apartment living. It's like being at a Ritz Carlton for $60 a day. The staff and the common areas, including the fitness and exercise rooms are clean and well kept. The staff is very responsive and the property is immaculately kept. I'm not sure where the last reviewer was living but it doesn't seem to be here. It's certainly not the least expensive alternative in Annapolis but it certianly the most luxurious. The covered parking was huge plus for me. It's incredibly quiet - even though i wouldn't mind meeting a few people here. I may need to start hanging out in the clubhouse. All in all a great experience and highly recommended. read more

My girlfriend rented a 1b/1ba here for almost a year until our house was built. The maintenance staff is always friendly and always say hello when walking by you. The units are nice, relatively spacious. Parking is easy to find around your building. Office staff was easy to talk to. Close to Route 50, the mall, Safeway, Trader Joe's, and Home Depot. All in all it is a nice spot. read more

I lived in Stone Point from June 2015 to June 2016 and was very pleased for my entire stay. The leasing office was always very nice when I visited (which was often to get dog treats or coffee). The pool and gym are great amenities and my pup's personal favorite was the proximity to the long outdoor walking trail. The other residents are always friendly and any time by the grills in the evening hours has the potential for an impromptu social gathering. It is a shame that the pool area is locked outside of the period between memorial day and labor day, as there is an outdoor fireplace and it would be a good area for entertaining or entertainment. The clubhouse is a nice room for entertaining with a full kitchen which can be used by residents. We had a football party there one Sunday afternoon and it was a hit. Some previous reviews mentioned thievery on the premises. I didn't experience or hear about anything in the year that I lived there, perhaps due to the squad cars parked in the lot almost 24/7. read more

John is so knowledgeable about how to fix everything and does it in a timely manner. The maintenance staff attends to the property and keeps it beautifully maintained and running. I'm giving Stone Point four stars because this is honestly the best apartment complex we've stayed at. The staff are extremely friendly and always professional. Whenever you call the front office, Brian usually answers the phone and he speaks as if you just called a five star resort! I miss that kind of professionalism! I used to actually enjoy calling just to hear him! Whenever I had a maintenance issue, they were out to my place within two hours each time. The clubhouse is great. There is an actual fitness center with a variety of equipment, pool view, a cardio room and a kids room with lots of toys. The pool is great, something you would see at a hotel. There is also a business center that has a few computers (including two iMac's) and an all-in-one printer. The complex grounds are gorgeous and kept clean. There are people out there everyday cleaning away trash, leaves etc. I believe there are four dumpsters in the complex which is convenient and a place to wash your car (that isn't a parking spot with a hose). The complex is also in a prime location which I did love. The only thing I didn't like was the amount it costs to live there with the size of the bedrooms. The living room was a great space, but the master bedroom was TINY. We have a king size bed, so the bedroom door couldn't open fully. It would open just enough to squeeze by. Only one dresser fit in the room as well. The master bathroom was also pretty small, but it was manageable. Another thing I didn't like was that the second bathroom only had a standup shower, and the master bathroom had a tub shower. We have a toddler, so obviously he won't be taking showers in his bathroom; that means all three of us had to share the master bathroom. There is also a lack of storage. Our kitchenware were crammed in the cabinets, we had stuff on top of the cabinets and the pantry filled up quickly. Since we weren't using the second bathroom, we had to use it as a storage closet (not great when you are entertaining). Overall, I would recommend Stone Point to singles and couples, but not for families. You are really paying for the location with this place, because the tiny apartments aren't worth the amount they charge. read more

After looking at other complexes this is the one that felt like home. There are great amenities and friendly staff that are always there for you. The best thing is the maintenance staff. I know I can always count on them to be there when I need something done. They get requests done right and within a short time. I know that if something goes wrong, I can call on John; head of maintenance, or Richie, or Michael to take care of things! I also feel great knowing that I can find Lauren, or Roxanne in Management when I need to take care of any concerns that my family might have. The apartments are well kept and good on space. It is and added bonus to have a pool and exercise rooms that are clean and adds to the quality of living in an apartment complex. THIS IS WHERE I FEEL AT HOME! read more

I've been living in Stone Point for four years, its been a great experience. Management is great and service is always professional.If I had a maintain problem it was always taking care in a timely fashion. There were times I was home and plenty of times that I wasn't. Of course there has been situations that has happened at Stone Point but where can you go and LIVE in this world that is crime free???? EXACTLY, no where!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But with that being said they have done their best to deal it, working police and management. I feel safe here. I live here with my wife and two kids. I've never lived in fear. Bozzuto Group owns this building. The management here is awful. Everyone leaves at 5, and good luck if you need something after that. There have been robberies and vandalism, but the management does not care. This is a very expensive apartment, with amenities listed. However, the amenities are only available 9-5. The people who work in the office are very rude. They act as though they are doing residents a favor... HELLO - IT IS YOUR JOB!!! This is supposed to be a new community that is luxurious - it isn't. It is just as cheaply made as every other place, only the rent is twice as much. If you have a problem and call for assistance, it will be at least 2 days before you hear back... if you hear back at all. I woke up to no heat and an apartment that was 54 degrees. I immediately called and left messages on two different lines for maintenance. It was 3 days before the problem was even addressed. Emails and calls are never returned in a timely fashion, if at all. Save your money and find somewhere else to live!! read more

Not worth 2000 plus a month AT ALL!!!!! If you want to get some peace and quiet do not live here! The walls and ceilings are paper thin and your neighbors dont seem to have any consideration for the people living around them. So noisy in the parking lot from cars and trucks speeding into the the parking lot. The air is always having issues. Ive lived here for 6 months and we have had to have the air worked on 3 times already. The BGE bill is sooooooooo high for an apartment something isnt right with the amount of energy being used for one units bill to be over 200 dollars thats ridiculous. The sinks drip constantly too and they never fix them. The gym sucks they are having the floors repaired in the gym when they really should update the equipment i nearly broke my ankle running on one of the treadmills one night because the belt slipped. Its not secure at all. anyone can park in the parking lot so your not gauranteed a parking spot. Its just not worth the rates they have you pay here. The rent really needs to match what you get living here. This place might be cool if you live on the top floor and really dont hear anything and if your air is working fine and your bge bill isn't crazy. but if you live on a mid level floor or bottom floor your screwed. Cant wait to go somewhere else. read more
