I needed the branches on a large cedar tree (approximately 75 ft tall) trimmed as they were tangled in several power/service lines. Mario came by to see the tree and gave me a fair quote. I had several follow-up questions and Mario always responded to my questions promptly. He and his team showed up when they said they would, were professional with the appropriate equipment and safety gear, and worked efficiently to cut the branches. They also made sure to maintain the aesthetic of this majestic tree. When they were finished they cleaned up the area and left no debris behind. Thanks, Mario and team! Bay Area Tree Pro removed five dead trees from a small grove on our property and trimmed a palmed tree in bad need of a "haircut." Mario responded to me within ten minutes of my initial call. We met at the property and he quoted a totally fair and reasonable price for the work. They showed up at the scheduled time, they did a fantastic job (see photos) and completely cleaned up after the job was finished. After researching others I contacted BATP. Mario answered promptly and gave me an appointment for the next day. He came early and gave us a quote and we negotiated a deal. The job took about 5 hours with 5 men, and worth every penny of what was charged. I had a ginkgo tree trimmed, a large stump grinded down, and about 20 overgrown oleanders manicured to perfection. Afterwards they cleaned up and hauled all the debris away. The yard looked so much better. I highly recommend this company. Mario is very good at returning calls and texts. The company is licensed so I felt a sense of security because there's a possibility of injury and or something being damaged. Our property is next to a busy road so we wanted professionals to make sure it was safe for everyone. Absolutely will use them again for other trees. read more

Mario and his crew did an excellent job removing a large redwood tree that was encroaching on my home's foundation. They did a careful and professional job, avoiding damage to several nearby structures and plants. They also ground down many gnarly stumps from my own prior tree removal efforts. One palm stump was grown into a wire barrel filled with garden bricks, and the crew somehow managed to rip it out. Mario was super responsive via email and text. I would recommend him to anyone, great work at a great price, done quickly. When my father saw how it looked he said "Now I know who to call for my trees!" read more

Bay Area Tree Pro - They removed the trees that fell against my house during the storm in Feb. - Tree Services Near Me

An enormous multi-trunked acacia in the neighbour's yard has been grabbing all the light above my persimmon and orange trees, and tangling with an ancient walnut. The trunk that was leaning into my yard was at least 45' tall. Mario came within a couple of hours to study the situation and make a quote. It was so reasonable I was a little worried, but the work was efficient, careful and swift, including cleanup. I'll call again when I need tree work done. Thanks, guys. read more

Mario and team did an excellent job for us trimming our trees. They have great attention to detail and we were very happy with the outcome.

Called as our tree in our backyard was dying and limbs were falling off. It was too tall for me to handle on my own. Mario was very responsive and quickly came over to give a quote. The quote was very reasonable and we set up a date and time for them to handle it. Their crew was on time and handled it really fast. I would definitely recommend them. read more

I have nothing but the highest of praise and thanks to Mario and his crew. First, they beautifully pruned a struggling Japanese red maple, a dwarf lemon tree and an old apple tree. The latest project was dismantling and removing a 30+ year old rusting and rotting garden tool shed. The quality of their work and cleanup is excellent. I am grateful to have found this company and will be calling Mario again. read more

Truly impressed! I will use Bay Area Tree Pro for all of my tree needs for years to come. I'm writing this review a little late but better than never! Mario and his team came out during the 2022/2023 winter storms to cut up and take away a massive eucalyptus tree that fell on our hill due to the rains. It was like the cavalry came in and saved the day...or winter! They came out, gave an estimate (which I found reasonable for the job) and got to work. To my surprise, they were done in under an hour. I was in total disbelief. They were really mindful of my garden down below and found a solution that didn't involve trampling my grass with their equipment which I was super thankful about. I've since hired them to do additional work and have been really happy with all the results. It's nice to know I have a tree guy to count on. They will also manage trimming bushes/shrubs, planting trees and I'm sure much more. read more

Everything went so well, the communication was so easy. And they did exactly that. I had a huge tree that was growing as if it was going to fall. And cleaned up after so well. Recommend them for your tree removal needs! read more

We needed to have our large Sugar Gum tree taken down and contacted a few tree companies for estimates. Mario from Bay Area Tree Pro came the next day and we told him of our concern with this tree being so close to the PG&E utility box. We asked (if hired) if he would call the 811 PG&E line before starting the job and he quickly replied no problem. Our main concern was that we wanted the stump grinded and we didn't want any potential issues. While he was here, we also asked him to look at a side birch tree and he immediately confirmed our thoughts, this tree was unfortunatly dead. He gave us a fair quote on both trees and we told him we would let him know. Well, after receiving estimates from the other tree companies we decided to give the job to Mario. Communication with Mario was great! Once hired he texted that he would call 811 to make an appointment for marking and then let us know the date for the job after they were done. Mario kept us in the loop as to when PG&E said what days they would come and then gave us a day he and his crew (Bay Area Tree Pro) wanted to cut the trees. The day of tree removal Mario and his crew were prompt and quickly got to work. They began on our side birch tree and it was amazing to watch. They were careful of the immediate plants and fence while working around this tree. Branches were tied off before cutting and lowered down to the crew below. They all worked quickly and efficiently. I was really appreciative of Mario and his crew using their grinder around our new air conditioner unit (on left) and shed (on the right). I told Mario, that's okay, we don't need it grinded, but he gave me a smile and said they could get it through. And he did! : ) Once that tree was done they began working on the main tree near the front of the house. After taking the main large tree down, they carefully grinded the stump that was located near the PG&E ground box. They did an excellent job! It was truly a great experience and we already decided we will be hiring Mario and his crew again for future projects. Thanks Mario! read more

Bay Area Tree Pro removed an apple and fig tree that were a pain in my backyard. Mario was very quick and responsive over text where he provided me a competitive quote. The team came on time, the crew was fitted with the appropriate safety gear and were in and out. I was impressed with how well the stump grinder took out each tree. I also appreciated the caution they took with the cutting/woodchips and took measures to protect my windows and surrounding structure (both trees were very close to my house). They also did a great job cleaning up so thanks to the Bay Area Tree Pro team! read more
