I am the homeowner of the tree that was cut by EZ Tree at the request of my neighbor. The project manager and crew never discussed the proposed job with me. In disregard to the California Tree Law, Under section 3346 of the California Civil Code, a person cannot cut or remove any part of a tree which does not overhang their property" EZ Tree went over the property line and changed the aesthetic of the tree, trimmed the tree the wrong time of year (pods had already bloomed during prime growing season) putting the tree at risk. The owner, Art, ghosted my calls in a very unprofessional manner. I will have to continue to monitor the health of my tree due to the negligence of EZ Tree. read more

I had EZ Tree Service from Vallejo remove a tree and grind out the stump in my backyard in Benicia. The crew led by Alfonso provided an EXCELLENT service. They showed up as scheduled and meticulously removed the tree and stump without even damaging the rose plants and flowers around the tree. They cleaned up after the service and had me inspect the quality of the work. I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed by the the overall timeliness and quality of their work. You stated that the trees were like that because of lack of watering! Is that what the HOA told you to say??? I can say nothing but good things about the crew doing the work. They are polite, work safely, and efficiently. On the other hand, the owner is a worthless human being. I would expect that if you're being contracted by the city of Vallejo that you might have sufficient signage to mark off a roadway, and would set such up way before in advance as to let the neighborhood know. Several reviews state the professionalism of the owner, but I was done when he spit at my feet after claiming that I parked in an area that he marked off. read more

We moved to Vallejo at the end of August, into a house with a mature garden and lots of trees. Art Durden and EZ Tree were referred to us by our real estate agent. EZ Tree is contracted by the City of Vallejo to take care of the City trees. We met with Art and walked through all of the trees here. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and had good advice. He worked up a quote and contract right away. We had to wait until the City contract work was finished, which turned out to be a few weeks later than we expected oandhoped. But Art and his crew were absolutely great to work with. They took out two trees including one that had been long dead and covered by an enormous climbing rose. They worked on 7 other trees including a huge old magnolia and an avocado that had dead limbs overhanging the sidewalk. The crew worked hard, asked questions when things were not clear and left us with a much healthier looking garden - also a lot of good firewood and chips which we had requested. The crew cleaned up along the way and left everything in great condition. They were not inexpensive. But considering the amount of work they did, it seemed reasonable.
