Our family has had a wonderful experience with Baum Orthodontics in Tustin. We moved to this practice after our younger daughter completed her first phase of orthodontic treatment elsewhere. One daughter has now finished Phase 2 with Baum Orthodontics, while our other daughter is currently going through Phase 2. From the beginning, the Tustin office has felt warm and welcoming. What stands out most is the consistency of the team, every individual we have encountered has been understanding, patient, friendly, and professional. Communication has also been excellent. They are responsive by both email and phone, which makes scheduling and managing treatment much easier as a parent. Dr. Baum and Dr. Nguyen both have excellent bedside manner. They are approachable and take the time to genuinely connect with each of our daughters, rather than making the appointments feel purely clinical. Their attention to detail also deserves recognition. Before our older daughter officially completed treatment, they carefully made sure her teeth and smile were the best they could be. We never felt that they were rushing to finish; they truly cared about achieving the best final result. Orthodontic treatment can be a long process, but this team has made it feel smooth and stress-free. The office is nice, service is good. Drs and all staff are friendly and efficient. However beware of their appointment policy which is stated in their contract. They require you to alternate appointments between AM (i.e. during school hour) and PM. My husband who took my kid for the first appt completely ignore to inform me this information. They are taking all the necessary covid precautions , I feel so safe taking my kids to their appointments. The staff is so professional from the front office to the back office assistants. Happy update: I recently found myself coming back to get a permanent retainer after my bottom one broke. My teeth had settled and Baum was on it. He sent me the cost of a new retainer, threw brackets on the bottom row for a little over a month and then sent me on my merry way with a new permanent retainer and a once again, perfect smile. IVE HAD SOME EXTENSIVE RECONSTRUCTION to my mouth from an accident. My implant surgeon recommended Dr. Baums and I am so happy with the care and treatment I've received. I've met both Dr Baum and Dr Kelly who were both very pleasant and informative and I actually had Dr. Kelly oversee my whole procedure. Joan who is the coordinator was so wonderful and thorough in explaining prices and helped me w/ a finance plan no interest so this flexibility in the price plan really helped me to make this emergency affordable for me since my insurance didn't cover braces. Joan has been so attentive and helpful I was really surprised with the personal communication and check ins she texted me to see how I was feeling when I had to have an emergency extraction and bone graph in a different surgeons office prior to my braces and when I had some complications in the feeling I had w/ my bite when the braces were first applied she squeezed me in immediately and I didn't have to wait to be seen which was also really impressive. Being this was my fist time being exposed to the world of braces I didn't know what to expect and was really nervous but, the whole process was easy and not painful at all. I was really impressed with the skill,patience and precision KIM (the technician that put the braces on) had. She was very kind and gentle. Very informative and very detailed in her work and really did an amazing job. Everyone I encountered while I was there had a smile on their faces and were all very sweet. The office itself is very clean, smells wonderful, nicely decorated and designed for the younger ones so it's a great family atmosphere and IF YOUR A PARENT looking for the right place to bring your child in for their braces I highly recommend Baums. I never expected I'd be the one getting braces at 50 years old. I'm a mother of two boys and if they had ever needed an orthodontist this would be the place I would bring them hands down. It's been long overdue that I update my review for Pashley and Baum Orthodontics. After three years, my braces finally came off back in November of 2013--and though the process was slow; I was so very very pleased with the result. It took long but that didn't matter, because at the end of it, the quality and care was what I was looking for. This was what I found in Pashley and Baum Orthodontics. Instead of trying to just usher me in and out with braces, Dr. Baum really knew I wanted the perfect outcome, the best "A" possible at the end of all this, and that was what he and his awesome team delivered. If I went in and my teeth didn't move according to what was planned, Dr. Baum and team would modify accordingly, and was extremely patient throughout the whole process as well. It was very much like "nope, I think we have to wait, we can do better, etc". So I am so thrilled with the results! I really miss being able to come back every few months just to be there and spend time with the amazing staff. And to be honest, having my braces on for three years really felt like a security blanket--and so without it, I do miss it. But aside from all this, my bite is really awesome, and it really is thanks to the wonderful people at this place for doing such a splendid job. My usual go-to-person was Mari, and I absolutely adore her. We can talk forever about books, movies, and tv shows. This truly is THE PLACE if anyone ever does want to get braces. The quality of work and care here has no equal from what I've know. I am so grateful to have been under the care of Dr. Baum and his brilliant team! Thank you for everything! read more

My call was not after business hours. It was made on Friday January 5th at 12:14 pm. It lasted 17 minutes (please see attached photo). It took 17 minutes of me providing personal information to be told the Dr. was booked out 3 weeks in advance. I called to see if he had any immediate availability before I divulged my personal information. They asked for everything short of a blood sample. Your administration also said their system would NOT allow to see the schedule without having all of my personal information. I'm sure you can also see that we had to come to your office on multiple visits with our three children and were not able to book them all three at the same time. This was not a time sensitive visit, yet your administration told us bringing all three was just not a possibility. I did not leave the review out of frustration. If your intent was to remedy the situation, you could have called me directly since your office has all of my information. Yet, you would rather try and make me seem like an unreasonable patient. Your response is a reflection of the poor customer service at Baum Orthodontists. I don't leave reviews that often, but when I do they're legitimate. read more

I would say that Dr Baum clinic is THE best for your children. The clinic is very kid friendly, there's video game in the waiting area. The facility is very clean and organized. Your child can even brush his/her teeth on-site! The staff are very friendly (they're like Disney cast members). You will feel very welcome and comfortable. During my HS years, it was clear I needed braces. I told my mother I wanted the best Ortho we could find. My friends had all came here for theirs and ALL had CREST smiles. I spent a good 5 years coming to Dr. Pashley. Everytime was enjoyable and easy. He referred me to an excellent Oral Surgeon when I needed it too. The staff eventually becomes your friends. They are beyond nice, and know what they are doing. VERY clean & professional. I actually miss having braces because I loved coming here so much. The front desk is helpful too... whether it be regarding appt's, payment or general questions they can help you. And lets give ths biggest applause to Dr. Pashely. He is amazing, makes you feel so comfortable. I'd see little kids in the seats next to me like it was no big deal... and you know how most kids despise anything related to dental care. I've started orthodontic treatment with Dr Pashley back in 2002 and never been disappointed by his services. I actually enjoyed each of my many appointments with Dr Pashley and Dr Baum in the last 16 years. I recently visited their new location as I needed my retainers to be adjusted. Wow, the place is so cool: awesome style, well thought waiting room, spacious, clean and well lit. Most important, Dr Baum and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell that a strong customer oriented culture has been implemented in this practice for many years.
