On the way to Dauphin Island on 193, you could drive right by it and miss it. While this appears to be their slow period as school has started and we were the only table with people in a Thursday at 6:15 PM. Our waitress, Mary took good care of us throughout our visit. I ordered the gumbo because, I always try gumbo if it is on the menu. It was pretty good. Then, she ordered the St Sue Supreme, and I had the Creole supreme both entrees were very tasty and our fish cooked perfectly. However, the mashed potatoes were instant, and not good at all. Order the new potatoes instead. Also, this place could use a good dusting, everywhere. Bottom line, the food is very good, but the place need cleaning up.

Was pleasantly surprised by Baudeans! It doesn't really call attention to itself from the outside but the food was excellent. Our server was very sweet and responsive to all our questions! We will be back.

Another trip to Fowl River for AYCE shrimp with all the trimming's. Service was spot on, restaurant was almost empty. Ya'll drive on down and help these folks survive, great food, better service, a little pricey, but comparable to everyone else around here. Pictures show all the goodness we had except for lil' pugs bushwhacker.

Fresh seafood and great service. We love the shrimp. Have visited twice and will return.

The service was fantastic! Super nice people. Clean place, too. Outside and inside. The food prices weren't as expected the mushrooms you see here.. $12, and this fried oyster dinner was $18. Absolutely no salt. No flavor on anything. We had to dip everything in the sauce to have any flavor. And after all that fried everything. We feel horrible. If you do decide to stop here.. go in. That way, you can let them know you don't like it and possibly get a replacement or get it fixed. As for the prices... that's just more than we would spend here again.

My family and I went for the all-you-can-eat crab legs on Monday night and they were very good! They also come with gumbo, corn, new potatoes, and salad or coleslaw. In addition to this, you couldn't ask for better service from our waitress Bailey! She kept the crab legs and water coming the whole time.

Seafood definitely seems fresh and local, my wife loved her grilled shrimp po-boy and I got a seafood platter with fried shrimp, fish, and oysters that were perfectly seasoned and tasty. We were very happy with everything, and liked that the shrimp were peeled & deveined which we prefer but was unusual to find when we lived in New Orleans. Service was good, drink options sufficient, and the top level has a pretty good view even if you're not seated on the window. We typically cook on Dauphin Island for various reasons including usually travelling with a dog, but Pirates is a gem definitely worth visiting on any visit to Dauphin Island. Bravo!

Imho, they were seating faster than each waitress could keep up and it affected our service for sure. They were slammed, so I left the 4th star. We ordered eveything at once as we were there a while before our waitress Tanya made it over. Beer / wine, gumbo, fried fish dinner with baked potato and fried okra, she had the ahi tuna with sauteed spinach. We finished with cheesecake and a berry sauce. Everything was tasty, I had a fish filet and enough okra for another meal. The view, makes this place, the building architecture, if you like that, I do, and the food is consistently tasty. When we visit the island going forward, this will be our first pick.

When you enter, there is a bar and tables in the main dining room and another few tables in the back. The patio allows pets and it has tables and umbrellas. It just feels like you are in for an amazing meal. The menus are on QR codes instead of the chalkboards that were a staple at one point. Anyway, Dragonfly has a cool vibe when you walk into the restaurant. I ordered the vegetable bowl with duck added for protein. Absolutely amazing!!! One of the best dishes that you will eat on the Eastern Shore. We also ordered the Kung Pao Chicken tacos that were fantastic!!! The service was point point, and pair that with extraordinary food and a relaxing ambiance, you get an amazing culinary experience!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The atmosphere is very sports bar esk so don't expect the glam and glitz of a high end stop. We ended up getting the Steak Taco (singular not multiple please note) which was a surprise for the $10 price tag - one taco ? We also opted for the steak on a stick appetizer, this time 2 small portions, you guessed it $10. I am sure this spot will appeal to the financially stable crowd but we found the portions to be small and prices to be large (in comparison). The quality of the food was good, not great. For the premium price we would expect high end taste. At the end of the day, a definate no repeat for us - onward and upward.
