Food was as expected, a notch above the typical fried seafood, fresh and cooked to perfection. Salad and baked potato sides were, well salad and baked potato. Nothing outstanding but no negatives at all. Service was spot on, timely and friendly. Did notice only one refill for tea mentioned on menu, I didn't test that but would have been a little bent if I was charged for excessive refills on tea. It's not much to provide an extra glass particularly when it is priced as the highest profit item on the menu. All in all a nice dinner with the Mrs and leftovers for lunch.

When she finally arrived she announced that she was going to take all of our orders at once even though we were two separate parties. Brought our appetizer and salad and disappeared. Came back quite a while later with the entrees. Instead of removing the used appetizer plates, she said she would leave them in case we wanted more sauce whatever that meant. Food was maybe a 3 out of 10. Only decent item we had was crawfish tails with a mediocre sauce of some kind. Hamburger steak arrived covered by large slices of raw white onions and a little gravy. Fries were obviously cooked in well-used oil. Fried shrimp and oysters in poboy were heavily breaded in cornmeal. Had to flag server down to bring the check in addition to drink refills. Were not offered desert. When she asked if we wanted a to go box for our uneaten food, I said no thank you. Yet she brought a to go box with the check and said pay "up front". Stood at the counter for a good five minutes watching the hostess discuss phones with a customer. Finally, a woman standing next to me said she would check me out and went behind the register. Left our server a 15% which is about half of what we usually tip. We will not return.

When…read morewe got there, they immediately brought us out to the covered patio and went and got our dog a bowl of water. The patio was nice and cool and had overhead fans. It wasn't anything fancy but it was nice and cool and very convenient for us and our Lab. We started out with a cup of seafood gumbo and it was fantastic. You could tell it had simmered for hours because it was thick and rich, with shrimp and crabmeat and the okra was cooked down well. We both got the shrimp poboys and I got coleslaw with my side and hubby got fries. We ordered a kids meal chicken tenders for our Pup. The coleslaw was cold, crisp, and very tasty and the fries were well seasoned. The pony was about 6" long and had lots of crispy fried shrimp. It was dressed with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. I didn't care for the onions but that's just a personal preference. Surprisingly, the chicken tenders (for the dog) were huge and VERY tender. Had I not wanted seafood, I'd have been well satisfied with them! All in all, a very enjoyable meal!

Around 730 and they don't close till 9. We were seated really quickly and hosts were really nice. We had to wait about 10 mins for a server and asked a guy that was bussing table and he got a lady to come take drink orders. My wife said she noticed our server was working on the bigger party. When we finally got a drink order we put in appetizers and meals cause we weren't sure if we were gonna see the server again. We prob waiting another 15 mins for chicken tenders and fried mushrooms. They had to bring us silverware at that time as well. But I did notice there was a larger table outside that had just got their food. So that might have been the delay. About 10mins after that we got our food. The crispy fried green tom with fried crab sandwich. I asked for more remolaude cause it look like the portion was an 1/8. The remolaude needs some work it taste like 1000 island dressing def not remolaude. The sandwich was amazing though. Wife got the stuff crab and said they were amazing too. After the chicken tenders the waitress cleared the plates and mentioned something about a chocolate cake. That took about 10 mins and when we asked someone else about it cause we were ready to go she said oh she is probally heating up the choc bomb in the microwave. The food was amazing the service was not great at all. As we were walking out I could see out waitress in a back area making plates of salad. Since we left after 9 and the only ones there I would assume she was doing side work for tomorrows lunch. Kitchen did a great job executing. The management or shift leaders need to tighten up a bit for better service. Great service goes a long way.

The decor is nice and fits the local area well. Now for the negative unfortunately. We were not greeted upon entering. We sat ourselves at a table and after waiting for 15 minutes I went and got menus for the table. After waiting another 10 minutes we were able to flag someone down to get our drink order. We ordered a Bayou Dog meal and the lunch special (chopped steak). We waited another 30 minutes for our food. The "Bayou Dog" was lukewarm at best and was really just not good. It sounded great on the menu but the whole thing was a letdown and I believe the only sauerkraut was the one little piece of cabbage you see in the picture. My dining partner said the chopped steak was in small little pieces. Just weird. We gave up on drink refills or getting our check at the table and went to the counter to pay so we could leave. I have heard good things about breakfast so I will give that a try. The good news is this is a new business and they will hopefully learn a lot and make some improvements as they go along.

It was juicy with all the right toppings to make it a delicious, drippy delight! The meat was cooked perfectly. The crinkle fries were hot and as good as frozen fries can be. Can't wait to return as I hear their chicken tenders are great but I have to try the shrimp poboy.
