Honesty, I will lead with that. I was having all sorts of issues with my car battery and unfortunately the make of the car makes it very hard to access. A local auto shop gave me an outlandish quote for the battery, install etc. a neighbor told me about battery wearhouse. On a whim I dropped by and had a pleasant surprise. The proprietor came out, took the battery out, reviewed the wiring and fixed it back up for no charge. A wire I couldn't access had grown loose - one wrench pull fixed it. These guys are great. They were extremely knowledgeable and took the time to answer a ton of questions I had about the RV batteries I brought in for repair. They also managed to save one of them. If you have a need or question about any kind of battery this is the place to go. You don't get this level of knowledge and customer service from the big box or chain stores. The last thing I'd add is after dealing with these guys I actually felt like I learned something about the batteries I brought in and the new ones I purchased. Only been here once several years ago to replace a 4 year old dead car battery, among their selections they also sold refurbished(?) and blemished batteries, which are cheaper alternatives that the big retailers and auto part stores don't stock. I bought the blemished Interstate battery for $60 vs a brand new one at Walmart for over $100, which are basically batteries that sat on the shelves for way too long, they are then returned to the original manufacturer, recharged, quality inspected and resold at a lower cost. (Feel free to correct me if this info is wrong) The owner performed all the checks manually to ensure the quality of the product. The battery worked great, just like any other car batter experience. Item for item, the price was probably higher than the big retailers. However in my scenario this place had other cost effective alternatives and they were truly knowledgeable. I'm not a diehard "support small business" guy, but you truly do get the expertise and specialized service here. I saw a comment that the owner wasn't friendly, I feel it should be elaborated to do him justice. He was not friendly in the sense that he doesn't approach you the moment you enter with an ear to ear grin asking about how your day is, your kids, or your daily fiber intake, you may feel intimidated (and thus the impression of rude) but at the end of the transaction, he was professional and not rude. I've been a customer here for many years. Decades. Never had a problem with any aspect of the products or service. Never had a problem on core exchanges or warranty claims, either. Their record keeping is excellent. The proprietor knows batteries, even the strange, hard to find batteries, better than anyone I know. If they don't have it in stock, they can find it for you. If you need to do price comparisons on heavy duty industrial grade batteries, he is happy to go over that with you. I took my 2010 Prius to replace my auxiliary battery. The Battery Warehouse saved me over $70 in Battery cost and their labor cost for installation was reasonable. A big shout out to Sawyer who did a very professional job and was very informed on Prius and battery issues. Came in looking for a specialized battery. Took a photo of said battery and showed the photo to an employee. Sold me a battery and I was on my way. Get home and ITS THE WRONG BATTERY. When j brought the receipt back, the owner began telling me how his employees would only sell the wrong battery if they were drunk and he doesn't hire drunk staff, and then he had the audacity to yell at me saying I was trying to scam him, out of five fucking dollars because his poorly trained staff was too ignorant to sell me the proper battery. I am so impressed by the friendliness and customer service of this place. One cold windy day, my car battery decided to die on me. I was referred here by the man who jumped my car and although they were short staffed and extremely busy that day, the young man and owner (came in later) who changed my battery and helped with trimming off the corroded part of the cables leading to my battery to get me back on the road were terrific. They explained everything to me (being a woman you hear a lot of stories about being taken advantage of when it comes to things dealing with cars). They were reasonably priced and the personal attention they paid to each customer who walked in that door while I was there was commendable. This morning was just one of those mornings. Headed out to my car for work and battery is dead. I got a jump but was told charge wouldn't last. I had an hour before I had to be to work. I called battery warehouse explained situation and they told me to come over. Within a very short period of time they had assessed the situation and had a new battery in my car and ready to go. Great service and the price was cheaper than Amazon! Yes you read that correctly, cheaper than Amazon where I buy 93% of everything I purchase. I needed to replace my car battery and did a lot of research online for type and price. Then I remembered this place. I literally took one step into the store and was greeted and asked if I needed help. The associate ran down every battery brand that worked w/ my car from the least expensive option on up. I already knew what I wanted when I arrived, but there were a couple of other options that I didn't realize they had. I ultimately chose the one I came in for, (their most expensive option, but least expensive out of the ones I found online.) I was in and out in no time and the gentleman told me to bring my car back by and they would test the alternator for me for free to ensure that wasn't the actual culprit of my car troubles.
