My wife took her watch in before Christmas to have a the battery replaced. During the process two employees struggled to close the watch case after replacing the battery. They ended up breaking off the stem. They said they would have it repaired in a few days & call when it came in. Over a month later, she is still waiting. The wait is usually anywhere from 30-60 minutes long. I have had to return twice for incorrect battery packaging.

I purchased a key fob several months ago from them and within a week it stopped working. I brought it back in they reprogrammed it and it worked for a couple of weeks and then stopped working again. They then ordered me another one and it worked for about a month and then it stopped working as well. I called to request a refund and they refused. It is not worth it to save a little money on a key fob from this place. You are better off just going to the dealership and biting the bullet. read more

I have purchased literally almost $750 worth of batteries from this location in the last year, went in to get a small scooter battery and it was literally the exact same battery by name brand as Walmart had but batteries plus was selling it for $50! I told the young man who was not the owner this and he said hey listen you can go to Walmart that works for us! Excellent customer service skills you have there Brad! Or whatever Your name is as you were dissing Walmart for for carrying the exact same brand battery as you were for $20 cheaper! you should get more qualified and hospitable customer service reps in this store! My 2 1/2 year old iPhone 5S still does everything that I need it to do, except keep a battery charge for more than a day of typical use. I took it to this store for a battery replacement. The employee changed out the battery in about 5 minutes and I was on my way. A little later in the day, I found the fingerprint reader no longer worked. Plus as an added bonus there was somebody's hair peeking outside of the re-sealed phone case. Back to the store, where the employee re-opened the phone, removed the keratin surprise, and re-seated the fingerprint reader connector. Phone worked fine after that. The new battery, however, only seems to give about 25% more lifetime to the phone, based on my entirely unscientific observations, and the phone hardly has the stamina it did as a young buck. For $30, file this under You Get What You Pay For. And for Yelp, file it under A-OK. read more

Bought a motorcycle battery 18 months ago from them and it already won't hold charge. The battery is connected to a tender so it starts fine. However, after couple hours riding, and if I stop at a gas station, it will not restart! Got stranded couple times already. They told me the warranty was only for 1 year so I am out of luck. I will advise to stay away from the cheap non-brand batteries they sell. Update: Had a chance to speak with Rachel the store manager. She spent time to check out the battery and the battery tender I was using. She thought the issue was with the battery tender not charging the battery sufficiently and the battery deteriorated overtime. Long story short, my battery died on a road trip from Monterey CA back to Carlsbad. My brother-in-law told me about Battery Plus and when I called the Vista store, I spoke to Jay. The store had the battery which I needed and no appointment was required. Upon my arrival at the store, Jay checked the battery (no charge) and informed me I just needed to recharge the battery by driving a lot! He was very honest, helpful, and professional. I followed Jay's advice and took a long drive. My battery is recharged and all is good. I will return should I have any further issues with my battery. read more

I went here to get my battery replaced for my Tissot watch. The guy at the check in took my watch and said it would be $7. After waiting in the store for around 10 min, he approached me and said, "I can't get the back of the watch back on". After speaking with his manager, he said they would give it back to me or they would send the watch to a jewelry store in Escondido for me. I opted to have them send it to the jewelry store. When I came back to pick it up, he showed me the old gasket that had gone bad and said, "Hope you have a good day." No charge for the battery. No charge for taking the watch to Escondido. All the batteries that you could ever need. They should of opened this next to an adult gift shop. Anyhow, had to replace the 9V in one of my smoke detectors and the little lithium coin battery for the wireless shutter remote for my camera. I walked in and was smothered with greetings by what looked like a grossly overstaffed store. Not a problem, everyone was insanely friendly as if I was the first customer they had all day (I showed up 30 minutes prior to closing). They pointed out my batteries in no-time, got a discount just for being patient, as they were booting up the register, and got offered a cookie. The lithium batteries were priced competitively, but the 9V's seemed about $1 more than I'm used to. This beats having to hunt for a parking spot in Wal-Mart, then walk a half mile around the store to find what you need, only to be greeted by a cashier who couldn't possibly show anymore disdain for you. Another reason I love specialty shops. read more

Told my problem and he said he did not think a battery was the answer, and he was right. Came back in on 2/20/17 to return battery and could not find receipt. No problem. WOW! is all I have to say. After calling many other battery shops around town I was finally referred to these guys. Heres the problem I had. I am a Photographer and had found a vintage polaroid camera the would work with a modern alternative instant film. The problem was that it needed batteries and the obscure ones inside it were corroded and NO ONE stocked them! These guys did not stock them either. However after a short phone call and a description they were able to take a similar battery, solder on the correct connections and have it waiting for me when I got there. Even being in a hurry and doing the whole thing over the phone they were really accommodating. Especially for a $8.00 battery! These guys are the best and I will forever make the trek 32 miles each way to bring my custom battery need business to them. I broke my phone screen this morning, went online and found Batteries Plus Bulbs advertises that they repair screens. I called ahead to ensure they had a screen for my Galaxy Note 8 and lucky for me they did. I went online to schedule an appointment and take advantage of the 10% off offering for scheduling online. I received a call and someone from Batteries Plus Bulbs left a message that they only had black in stock (what part of broken screen did he not understand - how could he possibly expect me to be able to answer the phone with a totally broken screen?!) When I arrived at my appointment time there were 4 customers ahead of me. I waited approx. 20 minutes for my turn. When it was my turn I told the young lady at the register that I was there to have my phone screen repaired, the young man that helped me on the phone and verified that they had the correct screen for my Note 8 spoke up and said that he thought I had said "S 8" and went back to verify again. He came back up to the front and told me that indeed they had the correct screen. He then proceeded to tell me he didn't feel confident to make the repair because he had never done one before... now this place advertises that they fix screens but didn't have anyone that could except a young man that had never done it before on my particular phone. Although I was grateful (and told him so) for his honesty. I had to go on a hunt again for a screen repair shop that had my particular screen on hand. My experience with phone screen repair here was a disaster, cost me about an hour of my personal (unpaid time) plus gas and wear and tear on my car - maybe your experience will be better but I'm giving Batteries Plus Bulbs a 0 star rating for performance and 1 star for honesty because the young man that was took my call turned out to be the one that was to do the repair and basically he is the one that wasted my time. read more

I drive a '63 Studebaker Lark (no jokes, please) and it has a battery style that you can't pick up at Costco; Batteries Plus has them in stock. When I needed a custom NiCad pack for a piece of vintage Rolleiflex photo flash gear, they built me one while I waited. T-Moble no longer carries the battery pack for my wife's 2-year-old cell phone (!), but Batteries Plus has 'em in back. If you're looking for a pack of AAs for cheap, to go Harbor Freight. But for those hard-to-find rechargeables or other oddities, come straight here - they'll fix you up. read more

My car blew a fuse when I put a new battery in it in their lot and I was so incredibly lucky that Zack was there to save the day.
