I purchased 2 Marine batteries 7/6/26 and just had time to install them last night at 9pm. They did not turn over the engine. I googled it to learn what I could & it said damage can occur to a battery that is charged on a regular charger after the volts have been depleted below a certain level. It is not my area of expertise so I took the batteries back to the Rockville Batteries Plus for testing today 7/13/26. a guy employee came to the car and tested the battery which read "low volts". we brought them into the store. I said I just installed them late last night, they did not start the engine so I googled it and it said if a battery is low to a point further battery damage can occur if put on a regular charger. The female employee Dani came over and said"that is where you went wrong and made a mistake. If you would have charged it last night it would be working now. You did the wrong thing. It is not covered by warranty but I can sell you two more batteries and discount them for you.". I said the store was closed last night and I was going off of what I read. She said, "why would you. sliver what you read? You were misinformed and you were wrong. Your batteries would be working if you had not made that mistake.". The volts were at 3 on one battery and I think 5 on the other. She said "you ruined them.". She continued "I tell people the way it is. I do not sugarcoat things". The Dani employee said we can charge them but we will charge you to do so. She said they are not covered by the 30 month warranty you were told when you purchased them. This employee should never be in a customer service job ever. She should never interface with customers. She should be in a back room job position. Have used this store for years with good results. However, needed a button battery for my soundbar remote and went to store #184 on Rockville Pike for a relacement on June 14, 2025. They sold me a 2-pack of CR2025 for $8.99 plus tax, saying that was all they had. Installed one of them, and it stopped working an Aug 30, 2025, 2 and 1/2 months! The original battery that came with the soundbar lasted about 5 years, so the Battery Plus brand was clearly next to worthless. I went for a refund or replacement but was refused. Called customer service who said thay would leave a message for the owner of the Rockville Pike store to call me. Never got a call. So don't buy from them; their merchandize is now clearly inferior, next to worthless, and they won't stand behind their products. Don't EVER buy a car battery from here. If the battery goes dead during the warranty period, good luck getting a replacement without a time consuming hassle for you the customer. My battery is 1 year, 4 months old and I have to jump start my car each day. In order to claim warranty coverage, you have to remove the battery from the car yourself (not a horrible effort), drop it off at the store, they will have it for a day or two. The store will charge it up and then test it to see if it qualifies for warranty coverage. Meanwhile, you are without a car for a day or two. They say that when you drop off the battery for them to charge and test it, if it arrives with less than 10 volts of a charge, it will not be covered since something in your car is draining it. I never have anything plugged into my car. The process is built to avoid actually providing warranty coverage and making it such a pain for the customer that you do not want to hold them to the coverage you should be getting. If I purchased the battery from a auto service garage, at least I could drop off the car for a day or so and just let them deal with it and they would deal with the battery manufacturer. read more

AVOID THIS STORE. This store uses defected iphone screens, and even though the warranty is 6 month they refuse to replace/fix it. Their screens are super easy to be cracked and will stop working. Normally orginal iphone screens don't get cracked so easy and most of time will still work with the cracks. I went to Apple store to get the screen tested and they said it's obviously defected. I had my screen replaced here and have been broken for 2 times in a month!!!! They charge $229 for replacing the screen, which is almost the same as Apple store. The store manager refuse to fix it, so I called the corporate office, they said because the store is franchised so it all depends on the store manager. Don't ever buy from Batteries Plus. I Bought a marine/rv battery for my camper, a "full warranty " battery. After about 6 months use I removed it to a warm basement room for the winter. After a few months I hooked it to a charger that said the battery was bad. Took it to Batteries Plus who confirmed that it was bad, but blamed it on me for not having it continuously on a charger and sitting on the concrete floor. This is a $110 battery that was 9 months old. They would not honor the "full warranty ", but offered a $20 discount on a new replacement. The battery was obviously defective, but they blamed it on me. It's understandable that there can be defective products, but to not honor the warranty is unacceptable. read more

Easily the worst experience I have ever had in my life. Took my iPhone 8 Plus here for a battery replacement. The customer service was terrible, the manager (shawn or whatever his name was) couldn't even put his mask on properly. The replacement took forever (even though I called ahead to make an appointment) and they completely fried my phone. It wouldn't turn on at all and all my data was gone. The manager couldn't answer any of my questions about why it wouldn't work, instead he blamed Apple. He shrugged his shoulders and gave me $300 cash (wayyyy below what my IPhone was worth) to cover up his incompetence. I didn't have a phone for 2 WEEKS because of this, which interfered with my job and my safety. When I took my phone to another repair shop down the road to see if they could recover my data they told me there were screws missing on the inside and he fried the mother board. Good place to stash up on AA and AAA and 9-volt batteries if you need the industrial strength batteries that drug stores don't carry. Very good pricing on them. Ordered them online picked up in store. Easy process. Once in the store, I also bought some battery operated LED lights for an area that occasionally needs an extra boost. It came with velcro strips and magnets, but the magnets fell off when I opened the package. The velcro strips didn't hold because of the design of the back as well as old glue. The back had plastic 'wells' to hold the velcro strip as well as 'wells' to hold the magnets. The top of these "wells" was higher than either the velcro or the magnet, so it was impossible to have effective contact -- there was a physical gap. Fortunately, the 'wells' could be shaven off, new industrial strength velcro tape applied. I do recall the clerk endorsing these lights as amazing and how much she personally loved them. She failed to mention the Macgyver skills required to make them useful. read more

I don't remember the name of the gentleman who helped me, but after asking me a number of questions, he said that I did not need a new battery. I saved $70! He explained to me that Apple is slowing down older phones (bad on Apple!) and that replacing the battery would not resolve the issues that I was having with my phone charge not lasting even with apps closed and bluetooth turned off. He advised me to get the iPhone SE for $399 when my 6S is no longer supported. He said that Best Buy would have replaced my battery and I would have had the same problems. I go in on a Saturday - the kid replaces my batteries in 2mins and I'm in-and-out - awesome ...but not so much. I get home and try both keys on my car. One works and the other doesn't. No big deal. I take the key back today - Wednesday (4 DAYS LATER) and tell them what happened. An Asian guy who I assume was the manager or store owner said immediately 'no warranties'. They always have what he wants, and he spends a few more minutes drooling over the other batteries (uhhh, only Scott).
