They advertise that they replace watch batteries for $15 each. I took in 2 dozen watches, most were LOWER end Invicta watches. The moron woman there said they would not work on these "high end" watches....she obviously has no clue what is what.... Rolex is high end watch...costing thousands $s Omega is a high end watch....costing thousands $s Invicta watches cost anywhere from $50-$500 This business has NO CLUE So I went across the street to Aras Jewelers...rather expensive at $25 each but done correctly read more

STAY AWAY from the ROCKVILLE MD store unless your are desparate or in an emergency bind. especially walk out if an employee named Dani is there. I purchased 2 Marine batteries 7/6/26 and just had time to install them last night at 9pm. They did not turn over the engine. I googled it to learn what I could & it said damage can occur to a battery that is charged on a regular charger after the volts have been depleted below a certain level. It is not my area of expertise so I took the batteries back to the Rockville Batteries Plus for testing today 7/13/26. a guy employee came to the car and tested the battery which read "low volts". we brought them into the store. I said I just installed them late last night, they did not start the engine so I googled it and it said if a battery is low to a point further battery damage can occur if put on a regular charger. The female employee Dani came over and said"that is where you went wrong and made a mistake. If you would have charged it last night it would be working now. You did the wrong thing. It is not covered by warranty but I can sell you two more batteries and discount them for you.". I said the store was closed last night and I was going off of what I read. She said, "why would you. sliver what you read? You were misinformed and you were wrong. Your batteries would be working if you had not made that mistake.". The volts were at 3 on one battery and I think 5 on the other. She said "you ruined them.". She continued "I tell people the way it is. I do not sugarcoat things". The Dani employee said we can charge them but we will charge you to do so. She said they are not covered by the 30 month warranty you were told when you purchased them. This employee should never be in a customer service job ever. She should never interface with customers. She should be in a back room job position. If I owned that. arteries Plus franchise in Rockvile, MD, Dani would be fired asap. read more

The amazing people at Batteries plus helped me find batteries and test my old cameras to see if they were working! The only downside is that they don't have readily available batteries of all kind but they sure can help you find the ones you are looking for. read more

I always like this business people are helpful. Prices are fair. Thanks for your service.

This store does not have good customer service when You call up about ordering a product online. The person that answers the phone does not know the promo code that the website needs to order online. The person that answered the phone hung up on me. When I went to the online site to buy a product online the PROMO CODE listed did not work. It was suppose to work until the end of today. They employee just hung up on me without no regard for satisfaction. I am going else where to buy what I need. read more

Have used this store for years with good results. However, needed a button battery for my soundbar remote and went to store #184 on Rockville Pike for a relacement on June 14, 2025. They sold me a 2-pack of CR2025 for $8.99 plus tax, saying that was all they had. Installed one of them, and it stopped working an Aug 30, 2025, 2 and 1/2 months! The original battery that came with the soundbar lasted about 5 years, so the Battery Plus brand was clearly next to worthless. I went for a refund or replacement but was refused. Called customer service who said thay would leave a message for the owner of the Rockville Pike store to call me. Never got a call. So don't buy from them; their merchandize is now clearly inferior, next to worthless, and they won't stand behind their products. Things must be really bad for them now to peddle crap and then not refund a lousy $9. read more

Nice people helped me find a wristwatch battery. Most of their sales are bigger ticket items than that, like car batteries. But yes they also have lots of different itty bitty batteries including the one I needed. read more

I really appreciate what you do.. I've been coming to your store for years and will continue to recommend you in the future. Happy new year and thanks for everything. ! 5 Stars! read more

Batteries Plus - Battery Stores Near Me - Rockville, Maryland

I called an ordered.a battery for my generator. I gave the model# i need. Went to pick it up.they gave me another customers battery. Telling me that the battery was larger than the one I ordered. They gave me the wrong battery and the store clerk argued with me& charged me.an addtional $25. The battery they sold me was defective would holdba charge. You would think they would test battery before selling it. Went to store clerk said they would have to charge before they could replace or give me a refund..they gave me a refund but i still needed a battery. The previous management was better. This guy ( don't know his name) changed my car FOB batteries in an enclosed cubicle So you cannot see what is he doing with your car keys? I had to go around and watch him, (which was awkward) I do not have to do all this because they are supposed to be transparent ( literally in this case) I don't like their customer service at all. Don't know if they are putting used batteries in your FOB? I need to see what you are doing for Pete's sake! read more

Awesome customer service. Both sales associates spent over 10 minutes installing a very challenging battery in my security key light. This is was a great customer experience read more

This company used to be great. This time, I placed an order, but was never notified when it became available to pick up. I had to call and verify. After I picked it up, the expiration date on batteries was too close for comfort. They said that's what they get (so a company issue, not a store issue). Finally, in the past they were nice to help to install a watch battery in the store. Now, no such luck. I'll try a different company next time. read more

Don't EVER buy a car battery from here. If the battery goes dead during the warranty period, good luck getting a replacement without a time consuming hassle for you the customer. My battery is 1 year, 4 months old and I have to jump start my car each day. In order to claim warranty coverage, you have to remove the battery from the car yourself (not a horrible effort), drop it off at the store, they will have it for a day or two. The store will charge it up and then test it to see if it qualifies for warranty coverage. Meanwhile, you are without a car for a day or two. They say that when you drop off the battery for them to charge and test it, if it arrives with less than 10 volts of a charge, it will not be covered since something in your car is draining it. I never have anything plugged into my car. The process is built to avoid actually providing warranty coverage and making it such a pain for the customer that you do not want to hold them to the coverage you should be getting. If I purchased the battery from a auto service garage, at least I could drop off the car for a day or so and just let them deal with it and they would deal with the battery manufacturer. read more

I need to speak with the owner. I believe his name is Frank? Frank, could you please contact me?

AVOID THIS STORE. This store uses defected iphone screens, and even though the warranty is 6 month they refuse to replace/fix it. Their screens are super easy to be cracked and will stop working. Normally orginal iphone screens don't get cracked so easy and most of time will still work with the cracks. I went to Apple store to get the screen tested and they said it's obviously defected. I had my screen replaced here and have been broken for 2 times in a month!!!! They charge $229 for replacing the screen, which is almost the same as Apple store. The store manager refuse to fix it, so I called the corporate office, they said because the store is franchised so it all depends on the store manager. Then the store manager is kicking the ball to corporate office again. They don't care about or protect their customer at all!! SO SHADY. read more

My cell phone battery was giving up the ghost, so I went to Best Buy where I bought the phone. No joy. So I Googled and Batteries Plus came up. The search led right to my older model, in stock nearby, standard check out and it was ready to go when I got to the store, in and out in three minutes. Duracell brand should outlast the el cheapo online battery it replaced. 100% charge! read more

Replacedixed the battery in my new remote for a mere 9 dollars, When the Toyota deal wanted 80 bucks

Easily the worst experience I have ever had in my life. Took my iPhone 8 Plus here for a battery replacement. The customer service was terrible, the manager (shawn or whatever his name was) couldn't even put his mask on properly. The replacement took forever (even though I called ahead to make an appointment) and they completely fried my phone. It wouldn't turn on at all and all my data was gone. The manager couldn't answer any of my questions about why it wouldn't work, instead he blamed Apple. He shrugged his shoulders and gave me $300 cash (wayyyy below what my IPhone was worth) to cover up his incompetence. I didn't have a phone for 2 WEEKS because of this, which interfered with my job and my safety. When I took my phone to another repair shop down the road to see if they could recover my data they told me there were screws missing on the inside and he fried the mother board. Don't ever take your iPhone here. I have lost years of my life due to the stress this incident caused me. Prepping to sue as I type. read more

Don't ever buy from Batteries Plus. I Bought a marine/rv battery for my camper, a "full warranty " battery. After about 6 months use I removed it to a warm basement room for the winter. After a few months I hooked it to a charger that said the battery was bad. Took it to Batteries Plus who confirmed that it was bad, but blamed it on me for not having it continuously on a charger and sitting on the concrete floor. This is a $110 battery that was 9 months old. They would not honor the "full warranty ", but offered a $20 discount on a new replacement. The battery was obviously defective, but they blamed it on me. It's understandable that there can be defective products, but to not honor the warranty is unacceptable. read more

Super accommodating and reasonably priced replacement of several watch batteries. I highly recommend them!!

This was an excellent service and experience! My phone was dead and Sprint said it was probably fried. Time for new phone, contract extension for all eternity blah blah blah. Took it to Batteries Plus and they quickly and cheerfully replaced the battery, and then noticed the charging port was damaged. They replaced that on the spot, and my phone is as good as new. Great and professional staff, honest and good work. THANK YOU!!! read more

Good place to stash up on AA and AAA and 9-volt batteries if you need the industrial strength batteries that drug stores don't carry. Very good pricing on them. Ordered them online picked up in store. Easy process. Once in the store, I also bought some battery operated LED lights for an area that occasionally needs an extra boost. It came with velcro strips and magnets, but the magnets fell off when I opened the package. The velcro strips didn't hold because of the design of the back as well as old glue. The back had plastic 'wells' to hold the velcro strip as well as 'wells' to hold the magnets. The top of these "wells" was higher than either the velcro or the magnet, so it was impossible to have effective contact -- there was a physical gap. Fortunately, the 'wells' could be shaven off, new industrial strength velcro tape applied. I do recall the clerk endorsing these lights as amazing and how much she personally loved them. She failed to mention the Macgyver skills required to make them useful. read more

My car died in the garage due to minimal use working from home. I was able to get it jump started finally and found these guys up in Rockville. They answered the phone quickly, helped me figure out what to do, and had a trickle charger in stock at a great price to help with future battery issues. He also came out and tested my battery for free! I'll definitely head back when it's time to replace it. read more

I can't say enough good things about Batteries Plus! If you need a battery for your cordless phone, watch, or even garage door openers, this place has it. But, the icing on the cake, is the expert personal service you get from each service professional. Both Michael and Sam were kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. They knew what kind of battery I needed and they helped put it in for me. I was in and out quickly, happy, and satisfied. So, for any battery needs stop by Batteries Plus and rest assured that it is reasonably priced and professional. read more

Second time my watch stopped after buying new battery. I hear a bang when associate went behind Barrier and given my watch back and doesn't work. After being discriminated against and having to leave the Best Buy store in Wheaton, MD, I contacted Bulbs Plus to have my iPhone battery replaced. I made an appointment and arrived at the store. I don't remember the name of the gentleman who helped me, but after asking me a number of questions, he said that I did not need a new battery. I saved $70! He explained to me that Apple is slowing down older phones (bad on Apple!) and that replacing the battery would not resolve the issues that I was having with my phone charge not lasting even with apps closed and bluetooth turned off. He advised me to get the iPhone SE for $399 when my 6S is no longer supported. He said that Best Buy would have replaced my battery and I would have had the same problems. I cannot express my gratitude to Batteries Plus Bulbs for their honesty. Now they are stuck with me for "life!" read more

I took my iPhone7 here for a battery replacement. It was completed on time. The home button stopped working, apparently due to a software issue. It wasn't the store's fault but they replaced the screen & screen protector at no cost. Now the phone works great. Outstanding service! Kudos to the store & Shaun the manager. read more

Gone downhill. Asked for help locating proper battery and employee could locate model in the system & he just gave up. I checked in their website with my phone & found it no problem. **Trust Me Read This First** SUPER SHADY! I went to get two batteries switched out of my car keys. I go in on a Saturday - the kid replaces my batteries in 2mins and I'm in-and-out - awesome ...but not so much. I get home and try both keys on my car. One works and the other doesn't. No big deal. I take the key back today - Wednesday (4 DAYS LATER) and tell them what happened. An Asian guy who I assume was the manager or store owner said immediately 'no warranties'. I told him I had a receipt and they JUST changed out these batteries a couple days ago. The kid at register helping me was even the kid that changed out the battery! Some older black gentleman helps the kid and says to me 'your key could've ruined the battery', then says 'you probably confused your set of keys' - no dumb @$$, I have two sets of keys to my car like most all cars - you changed both and one doesn't work. **BEST PART** the kid opens up the key to find a Panasonic battery (like the ones my dealership put in when I checked my keys Saturday)... The working key in my hands had a cheap battery they sold me with no English writing on it... So basically this dumb kid never sold me a battery last Saturday, and then had the audacity to sell me this new battery after he realized they f&@ked up and charged me for two batteries on Saturday but only gave me one. I'm not going to cry over $4. But I just may write you jerk offs an honest Yelp review. Enjoy! read more

My phone randomly stopped working out of no where one day. I freaked out and tried turning it on all day but it did not work. I couldn't get an appointment at Apple for a day or two which I couldn't do so I decided to look up phone repair places. I found Battery Plus and scheduled an appointment that same day. When I got to the store Rob informed me that a new display screen would not be available until the next day. He offered to go ahead and check if there was another issue. I came back 30 minutes later and find out that the screen is fine and that my home button was messed up but I would still be able to operate my phone. Not only did he diagnose the problem so quickly, and help me have a phone that functioned again due to the "assistive touch," but it did not cost me a penny. Thank you, Rob! You're awesome!!!! :) read more

Do not try to get your cell phone screen fixed at this store. They will break your phone and blame you while charging exorbitant prices. Worst customer service ever. They are extremely rude and did not care that they screwed up. They also falsely advertised on their website that they could fix the screen in an hour. It took two days. If you have an Apple iPhone, go to Apple. This is not a certified Apple repair location, so Apple won't touch your phone after these Neanderthals break it. If I had the time, I would take them to small claims court for false advertising and breach of contract. Why won't Yelp! Let me put in zero stars?! read more

Back in Chicago, Batteries Plus is my go-to place for watch battery replacement. Usually it goes out right around Christmas, so I almost always am home when my watch battery needs replacing. Until this year when it went out a couple months ahead of schedule. I panicked, looking for anywhere along Wisconsin Avenue that could just change the battery for me. I finally gave up and looked for the nearest location of my mainstay, Batteries Plus. I figured oh, Wisconsin Avenue turns into Rockville Pike, no problem, 20 minute trip. So it was a little bit further out than I'd originally thought. But I saw an Arby's on the way there and hit it up on the way back (score!) Once I got into Batteries Plus, I was out in 2 minutes with a brand spankin' new watch battery installed for $5. Batteries Plus has always been quick and painless! read more

Remember that civilization is built upon human ability to store energy. Remember that progress is made by human ability to harness light to stave away darkness. Remember that when the power goes out in your next storm, you are going to need back-up batteries, flashlights, and possibly lightbulbs. Remember in the winter, your car battery may not start. So if you can remember that, remember to head to Batteries Plus for all those needs. I have gone to this location for motorcycle batteries, car batteries, regular consumer batteries, and even a halogen lightbulb (a two-filament one for my Vespa - tough to find!) and they always seem to have what I need in stock. The staff is quite friendly, too -they are always willing to order something they don't have in stock from another store and have it delivered by the next day. So the next time the lights go out and you need to find 8 D-cell batteries for your flashlight, head to batteries plus and you should be able to get what you lneed. This location also has tons of little knickknacks and small flashlights and similar gadgets for any of a number of uses that I can't seem to find in my own life yet. read more

My husband and I come here maybe 1-2 times a year to replace UPS batteries for computers and servers. They always have what he wants, and he spends a few more minutes drooling over the other batteries (uhhh, only Scott). This is kind of a specialty store, so they don't expect a lot of traffic by curious passersby. This is obvious in that their store is kind of dirty--it's a workin' man's store, not a battery boutique (think Radio Shack). But the people that work their are knowledgeable and they have a good inventory. Good prices here--he paid $90 for a new UPS battery, when he was expecting to pay $130. You can recycle your batteries here too at no additional charge. read more

Went to their website and typed in the information for the replacement battery I needed for my motorcycle. I went to the store and paid for a different battery that their website stated would matches. At the store, I asked if I could return the battery if it did not fit my motorcycle. I was assured I could. When I tried placing it on my bike, it definitely did not fit. I went back to the store and they said they did not have a battery in the size I needed, that their system had given me the "American equivalent" of what I have and that it is a different size. I said I wanted to return the battery, and the guy said they would have to call a manager to approve the return. Then he said, without calling a manager, that they wouldn't accept a return because they don't accept returns beyond two weeks after pickup (without even consulting a manager - & definitely a policy I wasn't notified of when asking about returns at the time I picked up the battery). I then pointed out it had been two weeks precisely, and he changed what he said to say that returns are not acceptable as soon as it hits the two-week mark. 1. This company's recommended battery did not match what I had searched for in their system. 2. They did not honor the promise of the ability to return the item if it did not fit. 3. The sales clerk made no attempt to reach a manager to assist in this matter. Get your battery elsewhere. read more
