This deserves an update. As mentioned in the past,I bout the lifetime key fob battery replacement for 3 vehicles a few years ago. The location closed where I purchased it. So I came here. It was rough going the last couple of times So today when one of my truck fobs died,I was reticent to come here but,I paid for it so,I took a deep breath and .. Great experience. The young man ask me how he could help the moment I walked in. In about five minutes I was out the door with two new batteries. This is how lifetime replacement should work. This location is not as good as it once was. It is close to our house, so we've used it for all types of batteries for years. But most recently, we got a bad bunch of 2032's, Batteries+ brand, and when we tried to return them, they said in their computer that we had not purchased anything from them in 18 months, which is not the case at all. The person we dealt with didn't care about customer satisfaction at all. We will probably try a different location, but not return to this one! read more

We would NOT recommend going to this business for anything. They told us they had to order our new car Fob which they lost and when they finally found it 2 weeks later; We verified on the phone that they would program it because we lived 1hour away. Once we got there at the day and time they agreed to they refused to program it for us so we had to get our money back. They made lots of excuses why they would not program it for us at the time we agreed to be there and even blamed us. It even smelled like marijuana in the store. Even with all of the shipping and supply chain issues they were finally able to get it all sorted out and stayed in contact during the process. NOT A LOCKSMITH, EVEN IF THEY CLAIM TO BE!!!!Recently needed to replace my truck key fob with a new one I purchased on Amazon. I brought my old key fob and new key fob to the store. Upon arrival they stated due to covid-19 they wouldn't be able to program the new key fob, but could cut the new key. Before cutting the key, they made me sign a waiver stating I would pay the $25 (cost to cut the key) even if they couldn't get the new key to work. I reluctantly signed it and guess what....KEY DID NOT WORK. The employee attempted to make a few adjustment cuts, but eventually gave up on it knowing I already paid. I was told I could come back the next day to speak with the manager, but he wouldn't be able to do much more than himself. WHAT A JOKE. This place is a SCAM!! First & LAST time they will he getting any business from me!! (A1-Locksmith reprogrammed my fob and cut the new key in less than 5min! :) Update: As you can see from the response below they don't care about repeat business. The whole point of this review was to let people know not to waste their time here if they needed a key cut. A true locksmith doesn't require you to sign a disclosure. They ensure the key is cut correctly and works! read more

I have to say that these staff here is definitely very knowledgeable about all the different types of batteries that are needed for different electronics and well of course they should because it's their job, but I guess I can say that they didn't make me feel dumb for asking certain questions. They were definitely willing to help and answer various questions that I had on different topics and electronics. Said they didn't have the phone battery I needed in-stock. Claimed the battery would be $50 plus $10 shipping, and it would take a week to come in. Checked on Amazon and the battery was $10 with free two-day shipping. If you're gonna try to screw me at least wine & dine me first... I needed a battery for my cordless drill pronto, so I came by and picked up one of their prebuilt battery packs and I was up and running. Fast forward to last week. I put the battery on the charger so it'd be ready for the next day and I come in the next day and it's crispy critters. Seriously, it has overheated and melted the whole battery and has swelled enough that it's now stuck in the charger. *sigh* So I was thinking, well, I guess the battery may have died but there's a chance that my charger died and overcharged the battery causing it to melt. That isn't the case as the charger is still working with the new battery. So Batteries Plus Bulbs' battery killed my charger too. That sucks. The good news is that they did replace the bad battery and give me a new one, but I'm still down a charger now. read more

Really horrible customer service. Told them my needs. They ignored me and didn't explain their pricing. One dimensional staff. Won't be back. Go elsewhere for good service! I needed to buy a new phone, but I could not get my phone to work, so I was about to lose valuable contacts. Best Buy recommended Batteries plus Bulbs and I nervously went there. I told them the problem and asked to buy a battery. They recommended seeing if they can charge the battery and see if the phone turns on. It did and they recommended I run back to Best Buy, so they can transfer my data to my new phone. I asked how much I owed them and they said nothing. I did my best to get them to take a tip and they would not accept it. They are people of integrity. read more

I'm only giving this place 2 stars (1* is more apt) because I used to be a fan of batteries plus and I would go out of my way to go to this store even though radio shack was much more convenient. Every time I went in there they were friendly and knew exactly what I needed. However, the last time I went in there I was treated badly and I will never go back to this location. I brought my cordless phone battery that I needed replaced with me, they gave me the replacement, I left. The battery did not fit, I tried, my boyfriend tried, neither one of us is technically challenged and this is not a new phone, we knew how to switch out the battery as it has been done before. I ended up stopping at Radio Shack and buying a battery there. A few days later I took the Batteries Plus battery back to the store and received attitude and hostility once I told them I had a return. I was shocked, the employee I was talking too treated me as if I was just a stupid girl and had no clue what I was talking about. Then another employee came over to see what was going on, he started talking about some piece that needed to be removed before replacing the battery. The employee "helping" me said "Oh I know what the problem is" and nodded his head at me! I was amazed at how they were talking about me as if I was not standing right here. Then the employee "helping" me chastised me and said I should have brought the phone in with me. I told him I didn't need to bring the phone in as I have a replacement already from Radio Shack! Not to mention I brought the old battery to the store in the first place and they didn't get it right the first time. A complaint was filed with the corporate office, and to their credit they called my house (how did they get my number?) and left a message wanting to find out what happened. I have not yet called them back, I probably should as they should address this so it doesn't happen to another customer. Eitherway they have lost a few custome's over this incident. The people here are very knowledgeable. Jared guided me to the batteries I needed and then explained the process of removing and installing them again. This is the 2nd time coming and they had both of the types of batteries I needed. One for an obscure and very old camera and this time for my business fire extinguisher system. The team at this location is awesome! I had a not so good experience with the lewisville store refusing to warranty a battery simply due to the fact I bought it from a non corporate store (this one). However, when I spoke to Jared here at this store they gave me zero run around! Interesting enough, they also informed me that most stores are franchise type stores but to bring the battery in and they would take care of it. Jared checked stock, set a new one aside for me and would have even done the swap if it was in the vehicle still. The team at this store is awesome!
