I accidentally dropped my iPhone at work and the screen went black. It was still on, but I think I just broke the LCD. I took it to Batteries Plus Bulbs on McKnight the next day. Dropped it off at 8 or 8:30am and it was ready around 10 or 11am. It was like BRAND NEW when I picked it up, and for such an AFFORDABLE price. A few days ago, my laptop seemed to have stopped being charged, even when the power cord was plugged-in. I figured that maybe the battery was dead. Trouble is, I can't just pop-in a few "D" batteries, as laptops are very specialized (unique). Most options required ordering, and shipping from afar. Good thing I found this store. They didn't have one for my laptop in stock, but they checked & found it in another of their local locations. I would have been willing to go, but they offered to have someone bring it to this location, which is the closest to where I am. For that, I was more than happy to wait a day. I ordered it on-line with a store pick-up option & saved 10%. When I got there, I popped in the new battery & saw that it fit & I was on my way. The staff at the store was very helpful. I dropped my phone and screen stopped responding. Guys from Batteries plus Bulbs quoted me a price if 200/- for screen change. When they opened phone, they found that by just disconnecting and reconnecting screen to its cable, it started working. I had to get my kids hot wheels fixed. The store manager (Anthony)at the McKnight location was super nice and patient as I explained what was wrong. He didn't hesitate to take it on even though they were extremely busy (other locations I called first did refuse to do the work even though they are vendors who are approved to do it). He had great communication and even though the repairs took a little while I understood his timeline because of his follow ups. I will always go to this location moving forward even though it is farther for me. I also need to commend the Store Manager because as I was dropping the hot wheels to be fixed he was dealing with more then one customer who were being very rude. I've only been in here a few times, but the father of my child and I stopped in to get an application and found that the guy working couldn't stop talking to us about how high he was and gets and that if we wanted pills he could get us some and how the boss doesn't care as long as you dress decent. I went to this store on the advice of a trusted friend who was pleased with their replacement of an iPhone battery. I scheduled an appointment, arrived on time, the man at the desk completed an ongoing task, looked up, heard why I was there without any sense of awareness that I had a scheduled appointment, and begrudgingly and methodically inspected the phone and recorded numbers from the back of the phone and its SIM card. After he completed this process, he said the technician was out and would return in ten minutes, and that the job would be done half an hour later than I expected. I expected it to be done within half an hour, since their web page promises "Quick turnaround," and offers battery replacement appointments on the half hour. The iPhone battery replacement process is complete a quick job: see it for yourself on YouTube. So, I challenged him about the scheduling process and the repair time frame. He became sullenly defensive, suggesting that I leave the phone and return later, that the job would be done within his one-hour time frame, and demanding what I was told to expect otherwise, finishing with "I don't get paid enough for this." He was indifferent to my reply that I expected the technician to be available as scheduled. Maybe they do a good job here with repairs, but a passive-aggressive attitude to customers is an impediment to building confidence and trust with a customer. read more

I was nervous having my phone repaired somewhere other than the Apple store but I took it here to have the battery replaced. Everything went well so I went back about six months later for a screen repair. I scheduled an appointment online on a Saturday when I would be in the area, only to be called less than an hour before my appointment to tell me I needed to reschedule for Monday because they were booked for the time I scheduled. After explaining that I was already nearby, they ended up squeezing me in. It took about an hour for the repair. I realized after pick up my phone the speaker wasn't working properly and the screen would blur when I touched it. I had to make another appointment to have a new screen put on. The speaker now works but there are dark spots on the screen and the touch screen still isn't working properly. I'm too annoyed to go back a third time. Do yourself a favor and just go to Apple. read more
