I've unfortunately had a couple iPhone and iPad glass screens broken before. They have fixed my iPhone 7 Plus twice, an iPhone 6, and my son's iPad once (coming again soon!). Each time I had a repair here, I never had any issues - worked the same as prior to the screen damage. For people unaware of this store, it is inside the same store as Ninja Entertainment downtown Pittsburgh. I must say the only thing I don't like is the parking is lacking being in the center of downtown. However there seems to be Groupon deals for screen fixes. I didn't know that the times I have been there but I did use a Facebook promoted deal where I paid about $60-70 for a screen with screen cover. It's never taken more than 30-45 minutes for a repair. It does say on here appointment only but I have never had an appointment, just walked in after reaching out to them about a price on social media. These guys are very responsive on Facebook messenger on their store page. They seem to try to work with you on a price. My son broke his screen maybe for the third time and I am so exhausted paying for repairs (even with otter box) so I am happy that this store has specials here and there. Most other screen repairs places are a lot more expensive. They're my go to for my series of unfortunate events. Seriously appreciate these guys because other places charge for an iPad screen about a 1/3 of what the thing is actually worth. These guys are great!! VERY reliable and quick! Just to briefly tell you my story... my daughter and I both needed our screens fixed on our iPhones. I messaged them and they got back to me right away! I had to change my appt. a couple times and they were very accommodating! I drove to Pittsburgh by myself but I couldn't find the store, so I called and they told me where I could pull over and stay in my car and they would come out and get my phones. I was a bit leery because I was paying with cash... a man comes to my window, I handed a stranger both phones and cash.... Who does this right?? He said that he would be back in about 20 minutes. I sat there and thought what if I just got ripped off... My husband is going to kill me! Well, in about 25 minutes the phones were returned to me and the screens were perfect!!! Nothing to worry about!! I would recommend (and have already) recommended these guys to anyone looking to get their cracked screens fixed!! Thanks for the great job! Definitely a good place to get your phone fixed. I had to get my screen repaired on my iPhone 8 and I was in and out in 15 minutes and paid $85. Coming from DC, this is a bargain as I used to pay about $150 for the same service. I'd definitely return should I need service done on my phone. The only reason it's not 5 stars is that there were some wily characters there (not the fault of the business) so it was a little uncomfortable waiting for my phone repair with a few loud mouth customers. Dropped off laptop, won't charge. Two days later they just started looking at it. Wanted to replace battery even though already replaced. Original battery and new battery won't charge, why buy another battery? Biggest issue with Zach. Very poor customer service. Says he'll call and doesn't. Acts like customers interrupt his web surfing. He's the only one doing computer repairs and he is awful. After 2 days nothing done, taking it somewhere else. A business that appreciates customers, doesn't view them as a pain in the neck I did not review while inside the store. You can see their attitude by the reply. It's always unfortunate when you break the screen on your phone, however my husband broke his screen and this place popped up. I'll admit, they were slightly more expensive than the quote I got from another store, but this place was worth the extra money. While we were waiting for the repair, they offered us complimentary drinks, I made the offhanded remark that I was fine, unless there was a specific drink, knowing that there wasn't. However, with me even realizing, the manager sent one of the employees next door to the store to actually purchase the exact drink that I mentioned. He walked in 5 minutes later and handed me the drink. It was so thoughtful. I was very grateful. While in there I told my husband we should get him a new case and screen protector. Then we were told that the price for the screen replacement INCLUDED a new case and screen protector! (I had planned on purchasing one!) First time I brought my ipad there for a broken screen they were super helpful and offered me a deal and were quick to respond to me.. My ipad screen broke again maybe a month later, I'm not realizing this is not my fault because it's def. their janky way of fixing things. My ipad has now broken a 3rd time, the home screen button was never placed in correctly and I messaged the guy about it once I got home, now the screen continues to shake and opens other apps etc. I took my ipad somewhere new and trustworthy and they had to laugh and how ridiculously crappy this company did their "job" at fixing someone's ipad. Do yourself the favor and don't take any of your electronics to this location. It's gross inside, they aren't friendly or welcoming and they'll just keep breaking your electronic so you have to go back because they have no idea what they are doing. read more

I took my iPhone 6s Plus there about two months ago when my screen cracked. They fixed it and it worked well until a couple of days ago when the screen would sometimes go blank. A reboot would normally solve the issue. Today however the screen went dark and wouldn't come back to life after numerous attempts at rebooting. The tech (I think his name is Adam) took my phone and in about 20 minutes I had it back good as new. And even though the screen that was repaired over two months ago was clearly out of warranty, they didn't charge me a dime. I would recommend this business to anyone. read more

I had an emergency with my phone which I use for work while I was in town for a few days. I contacted this company to set an appointment to repair my Iphone 7. Initially I got hold of staff and they said they would order a Piece so I can drop in the next day. They never asked for my information or anything. I called back a few time and left voicemails for call backs during business hours because I really need my phone fixed but no one reached back. Be careful when you get your phone repaired here. Last month my daughter broke her iphone 8 screen so we went to get it repaired here. They didn't have the white screen available so they placed a black screen on it and told her to come back whenever she has time and they will replace the black screen with the white screen. An hour later the phone showed " No Service" so she couldn't use it without wifi. A week later, she brought the phone to Apple Store for repair. Apple store staff told her that they couldn't service the phone since he found several non-Apple parts (in addition to the black screen) when he opened the phone for service. We were surprised since we bought the new phone from Verizon and have been using for 3 years with no problem. We only replaced the battery once at an Apple Store in Aug 2019. We are not sure how non-Apple parts ended up in the phone. Anyway, a couple weeks later my daughter brought her phone back to this store to replace the black with the white screen. The store did replaced the phone screen but the next day the battery on the phone can only be charged to 1% and the phone kept dying every 2 - 3 minutes. Again we are not sure how battery is already dead when it was just replaced by Apple in Aug. This is not an apple authorized repair store and we just don't think that it is a coincidence the phone had issues after each repair service. read more

I bought a screen repair coupon for my pone on Groupon because my glass screen is broken. However, they replaced my working LCD with a cheap one without telling me that. They sold my original LCD screen and made money from it. After two days, a crack appeared on my glass screen and the LCD screen was also broken. They refused to give me a free repair and said that "customers should know that screen repair means glass and LCD screen replacement". They even threatened me and my friend of calling the police. read more

Seriously, you'd be better off with whatever condition your phone is in rather than having these guys try to fix it. My phone was made nearly unusable after YinzBreak I Fix got their hands on it. First, they repaired the screen and when I got it back, the Touch ID no longer worked. I called and the guy apologized and told me to bring it back. Why would you not check to see if this works before giving it back to a customer? Then when I did take it back, FOUR separate times after that, they determined that it might not work again and that they should've told me there's a chance it wouldn't work after the screen repair. They said the original tech should've said this yet he made no mention of it whatsoever or I would've never went through with the repair. On top of this, while waiting for my phone to be fixed, I saw them accept other repairs and still make no mention of possible Touch ID issues that could result, clearly leaving other customers in the dark about the potential issues. In addition to the Touch ID, the materials they use to replace the glass are clearly cheap replacements because my screen would no longer even register touch accurately ANYWHERE on the screen. Beyond that, the "Touch ID" button was clearly a piece of thin plastic the tech put on as it would dent and bend as you touched the home button. After dealing with various techs and making over four or five trips downtown to have them fix their original issues they created, they still weren't able to repair my Touch ID or the screen issues. Do not let these people touch your phone, they have no business doing so and clearly aren't experienced with these repairs. read more

My Iphone 5SE was left on the roof of a car and was driven off a mile from my house. We used an app to find the phone and found it on the HOV lane going towards 279 north. The screen was in really bad shape and I had to use tape to keep it in tact. I was referred to Yinz Break I Fix on Wood Street and I was more than happy with the service I received. We were immediately greeted at the door by Christina. With no hesitation what so ever she looked at my phone and took it back for an estimate on price and also the time it would take to fix. They gave us a Groupon Deal that they had going on without even having to purchase the Groupon and also gave us a 15 minute estimate time of repair. My wife actually went over to the YMCA which was next door and completed an hour workout. When we came back we were greeted back by the owner. He was very personable and gave us a quick history of his business. I would highly recommend this place if you have a smart phone that needs a new screen.
