This is not my first time using this business. The first time I received excellent service. My iPad Mini needed a new battery. I called to confirm they could replace the battery. I was told it would be no problem and they had one available on site. When I arrived, the battery indicated during the call was not actually the correct battery. I was told they would need to order the battery since it was not in stock. That was not a problem. The iPad is an older model. It made sense that it would need to be ordered. I received a call indicating the battery was available. I dropped off my iPad and was told it might be a day or two to complete service. I was okay with this. The service was completed. I picked up my iPad only to find the Home button was not working. I called the next day regarding the button. It was not broken when I dropped off the device for service. I was told to bring it in, they would fix it and have it back to me the next day. I arrived to pick up my device only to be told that the button and a bracket for the button needed to be ordered. And it would be delivered the next day. I am not really happy at this point but it needs to be fixed so I tell them to keep my device and fix it first thing in the morning. Again I go to pick up my device only to find out that they dropped it and the screen cracked. My device is grey with a black screen. The only screen available is a white one which was added to the device. A new screen was ordered for overnight shipping. Since it was a holiday weekend, they would call me when it arrived. While waiting for the screen, the Home key again stopped working. It worked less than a day. I was called about a week after the order was placed and told the new black screen arrived. Again I went to the store for the screen install and another Home button repair. This time I waited for the repairs to be completed. Everything seems to be fixed now. I was not charged for any of the replacement items, only the battery which was the original repair. Why would you give a customer an item you broke without calling them to tell them you broke it and were attempting to repair it? Why are you not careful with other people's property? They broke 2 parts on my device. TWO. This is not acceptable behavior in my opinion. I will never take my devices to this business again for service. read more

They say if you have nothing good to say about someone, do not say anything at all. However, when writing reviews, the intention is to inform future customers who may be on the fence with this particular business prior facts in order to make a decision to complete a purchase. Batteries plus in Montgomeryville and Warminster is owned/ operated by the same person named Larry. I had to meet with him eventually given that I was sold a defective battery, which is not his fault. However, I purchased the battery from the Montgomeryville store, and returned it to the Warminster store for a replacement since the car battery was defective. My interaction with Larry and his staff was underwhelming at best, with no accountability to a defective product. Their feeling is that the car battery was damage and became damage/ defective due to a bad alternator in my vehicle. Larry and his staff tested my alternator and found that it is working at an optimal level. I've also had it checked by my manufactured dealer which they found no issue with my vehicle. Feeling abused, I called the Batteries Plus home office to speak to upper management about my plight with NO RESPONSE from the company at all, which over a month has passed since I initially placed the call. With that, I caution anyone purchasing anything from these two locations, and Batteries Plus in general. This is my go to store now for watch batteries and auto remote batteries. I have quite a few watches and was getting the batteries replaced in the Montgomery mall until this place opened. The mall was charging about $40.00 for a watch battery and this place only charges $10.00. Also just got my second auto remote battery for a Mercedes for $10.00. I can only imagine how much the dealer would charge for this and I fortunately will never know! They have tons of light bulbs and batteries so if you ever need anything and can't find it at Home Depot this place will have it but it will most likely cost much more. I was looking at flashlights and they were $80.00 , no way. Not sure how this place makes money but I hope they stay in business! read more

Oh my gosh I love this place. The 2 guys working there today were amazing. I brought in my phone that had died they checked it out for my and found that the screen had burned out. They cleaned up the inside of my phone to see if it would help bring my phone back to life. Unfortunately it didn't but they couldn't have been nicer. Super accommodating and helpful. Even though they couldn't bring my phone back to life I still appreciate everything they did. Great staff at this store. read more

Let me start by saying this store doesn't deserve any stars!! It takes a lot to frustrate me to spend my time writing a review. In 50yrs and only 2 reviews ever after my poor experience with Batteries Plus I feel compelled to warn others. I went into the store in Montgomeryville Pa. 7/2/23 to get a second key for my work van. There was nothing wrong with the van locking or ignition system with the original key I had which locked and opened all doors. The key came in today and I dropped the van off, about 45mins key was programmed. I drive the car home and tried to lock the doors, all doors locks except drivers door. I drive the van back and explain the issue. The Technician tells me there's nothing he can do and it couldn't been them! I explained over and over again there was nothing wrong before you worked on it! So I asked is there a manager or anyone over you I can speak with? He tells me theres no one here you can talk to and I'm not giving you their personal number!! What frustrates me the most is not that I have a door that doesn't lock, but my original key nor the new key open and lock all doors!! Looking at the reviews it's obvious there's an issue there and management nor owner care! Never again will any money of mine, family or friends be spent there!! The service at Batteries Plus is completely unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere ..unless you only want 3 of your 4 doors to lock and no accountability from the providers of a service. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE. First, let me start this by saying this is my first Yelp review. I am generally a very easy person to please and have a patient, bubbly personality. With that being said, this business is ridiculous and I feel others should be warned. SHORT review: Extremely rude staff, long and inaccurate wait times, and will leave your device worse off than when you came in. FULL story: I had a shattered iPhone that I wanted to get fixed before leaving to travel through Asia for 7 months. I will admit I was last minute and came to the shop just a few days before I was to leave for my trip. After talking to the owner, I felt confident he would be able to fix it at a reasonable price. He told me to come back at a certain time that same afternoon. When I arrived back at the given time, the phone was not done yet and it would still be a few more hours. Not to mention, the lady working (his wife) was EXTREMELY rude. I was patient and polite and this was returned with extreme sass. Now, I live a 25 minute drive away, so it was very frustrating to have to drive home (again) and then back a second time. When you tell a customer to return at a certain time, you should adhere to that OR at least give them a call (on the backup phone number I had provided), telling them it will be delayed. Anyway, I drove home and returned later that day. I was frustrated but I was happy to have a "fixed" phone, so I paid and left. Unfortunately, I quickly realized that my new phone screen was VERY sticky. Certain parts of the screen wouldn't let me type at all. I returned to the store AGAIN, now becoming very frustrated. The man did feel bad, and replaced the screen (a second time) for free. This time, the screen wasn't flush to the home button on the phone, leaving the home button to stick up a little bit. At the point, I was hours away from my trip and just let it go. This was all about 3 months ago. The phone, I will admit, worked fine for about the first 2 months. Now, however, my phone has started flashing on the bottom half of the screen. It is very hard to describe, but it is very bothersome to the eyes and makes it difficult to view pictures or stream videos. Unfortunately, I am now in Korea (yes, I feel so passionately about this company that I am writing this review from Korea), and will not return home for another few months, so I am stuck with a broken iPhone (again) due to this company's poor service. I know this has been an immensely long review, but for anybody reading I figured it was important to put my story out there. minutes ago Technician at this store is one of the most unpleasant most unprofessional employees that they have in this franchise. I brought my phone to have the screen replaced so I could just enter the phone and share my contacts with my new phone. I had originally called the store and he wasn't a very pleasant person to begin with. I had told him I would stop by immediately. 20 minutes later I was at the store with my phone I waited outside upon his arrival. He brought it out to me and told me he wasn't even going to bother fixing it because it was too much work. So I drove here just to be let down by this technician. I'm not writing this review because I'm upset he didn't fix it but how he acted the entire time. From the gecko I knew he was a complete $&&:?!/. I will never return here again for any help. I have bought car batteries from this store about 4 times in the past few years. I am 50 years old. I have NEVER in my life written a complaint like this. Hard to believe, I know. 1) Incompetent store employees who are not interested in doing the job correctly 2) "Manager" either unwilling or not empowered to treat customers fairly I chose a battery w/ 2-year warranty online & paid by credit card for store pick-up. There was a 10% discount w/ online coupon, bringing the total to 139.63. I anticipated an $18 discount for core refund, which would bring the expected total to $121.63. I wrote in the pick up instructions that either I or my wife (I specified her name) would pick it up. My wife went to the store to pick up the battery and get the core refund. She told "sean p" she was picking up an order and gave him my name. Supposedly, according to store policy, the employee should have asked her for an ID and/or the credit card used for the purchase. He did not do this. The store employee took a battery off the shelf (as if he knew exactly which battery she was talking about, and this convinced her not to ask any more questions). He said that I had not paid for it... this was false. He then rang up a battery with 3-year warranty for a total of $162.10. My wife paid for it with the same credit card as the original online payment. When she got home, I installed the battery. That was two days ago, July 2. Yesterday, July 3, I checked my credit card statement and saw two charges from Batteries & Bulbs. Today, July 4, I called the store, I have both receipts. I gave them the order numbers. First they told me both batteries had already been picked up. Not by me, they haven't. Then they said I would need to come to the store to process the refund in person. I drove to the store in person, it's 15-20 minutes away. When I got there, Nicholas, the manager, told me he would refund the original order. But I did not order the more expensive battery, I did not want the more expensive battery, and I am ending up paying $40 more ($162 vs. $121). Nicholas said there is nothing he can do for me, that I received the same battery that I paid for. I asked if he would *at least* honor the 10% online discount, and apply that to the more expensive battery. He said he "could not do that" since the order was already rung up and paid for. This is a dishonestly run store, and a poor resolution to a dispute. At this point, I could care less about the $40, I just would like to warn others away from this place. I accompanied my Dad and Sister here once for a replacement battery for my Sisters car. It seemed pretty pricey and the service was decent enough, they offer alot of different services. My only gripe is it is on the corner of 309 and North Wales Road which is a convient location, but getting out onto either road is a absolute nightmare as they are both equally busy, all times of the day. It might just be best to park in Chipotles lot and walk over. Given that, I'd be inclined to look somewhere else if the option presents itself. read more

I went there to have my cracked iPhone glass replaced. I scheduled online, which gave me a $10 discount on the order. The email confirmation has the time screwed up. When I called them they confirmed that the email was wrong and they assured me that there wasn't a problem. I web at my original time and dropped off the phone. They require another contact number to call when it's done. Which is odd since most people only have one of phone. Luckily I have a work phone I ended up calling them and the phone was ready. The service work looks and works really well. They told me about all of potential problems with functionally and the fact that I would void my warranty (I didn't have one ). FRAUDULENT CONDUCT On 11/30/18 Rich, who identified himself as the owner & manager, promised inspection of my phone prior to battery replacement to ensure there were no additional problems which would impact the charging system. The battery was replaced and I was informed there were no additional issues with the charging system, but he could not test connectivity secondary to no SIM card (this was fine). I was told the battery was not fully charged because they wanted to return my phone as fast as possible (returned to me with approx 58% battery charge). I immediately connected the phone to the car charger and it did not charge. I connected the phone to 2 other charging cords and 2 wireless chargers, yet the battery died the same day of "repair". When I returned to the store the next day, I was declined a refund. I agreed to have my phone sent to their off-site repair center which verified problems with the charging system. The owner unapologetically refused to provide a refund. SINCE I NOTICED FALSIFICATION OF THE ORIGINAL INSPECTION REPORT ON THE NEW DOCUMENT, I asked for a copy of my original inspection document which indicated a passing score. Rich declined, stating the form was "an internal document". After I insisted because I have the right to have a copy of anything I signed, Rich took a few minutes to look in his back office for the form, only to return stating "I guess we no longer have it". As a retired RN, I informed him signed documents are typically filed for a period of time and less than 2 weeks had passed since the initial phone inspection. Rich laughingly dismissed me and declined to offer any options to resolve my refund request since he had effectively falsified the new computerized inspection form to include a suspected charging issue which supposedly didn't exist when my phone was initially returned to me. I agree with other reviews that this owner is very rude and should not be in customer service. I came in to ask for my battery in my Samsung Galaxy S8 to be replaced. Since my screen would not turn on, due to the damaged battery, he would not allow me to replace just the battery but said the screen would also née replacement. I refused as there was nothing wrong with the screen. He quoted $80 to replace the battery. I left because of his rude attitude and ordered the battery on Amazon. It came 2 days later with all the parts needed to change the battery and the battery itself for $20. I watched a YouTube video and changed the battery in about 5 minutes. The store owner claimed this takes 1 hour. I will not be returning to this store and I will advise others to do the same. read more

I needed a replacement battery for a 3.5 year old Samsung Galaxy S3. I went online and found Batteries Plus Bulbs (BPB) had the battery AND had the option for an in-store pick-up. This was just what I needed. The on-line experience was very good. The check process was secure and straightforward. When I went to retrieve my battery, it was waiting for me behind the counter. A flawless retail experience. The three people behind the counter were very courteous, professional and engaging. Even the youngest member of the staff was professional; not a "no problem" millennial. BPB has batteries, bulbs and some pretty good LED flashlights. read more

I have spent several hundred dollars at this location. On Saturday August 8, I purchased a $58 on a battery for a charging station I have. I hooked the battery up to the charger over the weekend and it did not charge. I brought it back on the following Monday and Tammy the owner would not due anything and said we do not take returns on used merchandise even though the receipt says 14 day return and 1 year warranty. They are only good if you don't have a problem. Will go to Home Depo or Lowes, I try to support small business but they have to support you. read more

I walked into this place with an iPhone 6s with a broken screen the lady I talked to was very reassuring on telling me that they stand by their product and they would fix my screen and make it look good as new I felt confident that they would fix my phones screen. but that was not the case When I went to pick up the phone after the repair my phone looked like a knock off iPhone 6s. The screen was highly elevated and the screens home button was very clicky. I feel as though I was lied to. the screen button gets stuck And the screen moves. There is a gap between the screen and the phone. Having my iPhone appear to die and not be able to be resuscitated although several fixes were attempted. I checked on line and found Batteries + Bulbs and drive to the store on a Saturday afternoon. They did a quick check of my phone and determined that it was either the charging port or it was the battery- they gave me an estimate of the cost and told me they would call me in about an hour. Sure enough, a little over an hour later, I got a call telling me that my phone repair was done and the battery was replaced. The charge was less than the estimate, and I now have a 6month warranty on the battery and a phone that works as good as new. I am a very satisfied customer and have no hesitation recommending Batteries + Bulbs to other potential customers!! read more

Screen came away from the phone, after a short time - vendor was nasty & refused to address the situation. He is extremely rude & intimidating to women. I scheduled a 2pm appointment to have my phone screen repaired for some minor scratches and cracks. They told me to come back at 4:15 the same day to pick it up. So I show up at 4:10 and they make me wait for 20 minutes before telling me the repair guy just got back from lunch and it's going to take another 1.5hrs. So I had to stand around for another hour in their store without anywhere to even sit and wait for them to bring my phone out from the back. Never coming back for any reason, this is the second time they have scorned my family. read more

I got my phone screen fixed here about a month ago. The customer service was awful to begin with, the lady was extremely rude and didn't seem to want the business. Not even a week later, my phone started to overheat and malfunction, opening and closing apps randomly, shutting me out of my phone. Today I went back to have them look at my phone. We spoke with rick and immediately he got defensive, talking in circles explaining it has to be a hardware issue. Didn't even touch my phone let alone open it to even see what I was talking about. Completely unwillingness to help. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I will never be doing business here again. I highly recommend finding another place. We ordered CPAP batteries online for in store pickup. Do not be fooled. The batteries are not in store. They have to be ordered and that can take weeks. Plus the staff here seemed to have very little knowledge of the product. They had to call on several different occasions to get information about the machine. I had ordered a "bundle" at a higher price because it was supposed to include the necessary adapters to use the battery. After a series of phone calls, it was determined that we had to pay an ADDITIONAL $80 for the correct adapters - so why advertise the bundle??? You should advertise the actual cost of the unit. At the very least, be knowledgeable about the products that are supposed to be made available at your store. Terrible. read more

I wanted to purchase a Key Fab for my car and was quoted a price for over $170. I thought the price was extremely high and went home and found the exact Key Fab I had purchased from the same location about 18 months ago. I called back to make sure I was originally given the correct price as I thought maybe there had been a mistake. I took it there to get fixed and after a week some of the keys didn't work when I typed. I went back and spoke to the man who did the work and he told me that the phone was probably broken before I cracked the screen which is just completely ludicrous since it was brand-new out-of-the-box. I went there to get my charging port in my iphone 6 replaced as my phone wouldn't stay connected to the charging wire. Instead of a $70.00 charging port replacement, the technician used tweezers to pull out four or five little balls of lint in about five minutes. Staff was knowledgeable and honest and wanted to make sure I didn't pay for unneeded service. Also bought a large battery there on a prior occasion and the manager asked a few questions to make sure I knew what I was buying. I recently spent several hundred dollars in the Montgomeryville store replacing cell phone batteries, buying cases and accessories. I also purchased battery operated LED lights. I took the lights home and put batteries in them only to find that the LED lights didn't provide any light at all and in fact were worthless. I went to the store to return the light and the woman behind the counter stated they wouldn't take them back or provide any refund because I opened the package. As I stated to her I'm not sure how your suppose to try or use a product without opening the package. She refused to offer any refund or store credit. Clearly they don't stand behind what they sell and I'd warn all customers to think twice about shopping there. These guys rock! If you were to look up Customer Service in the dictionary you would see this family. They had to order the battery for my wife's car. To make sure she did not get stuck anywhere while they ordered it, they installed a 'loaner' battery for free. When the new battery came in, they swapped them out for free (installation) as well. VERY helpful in having and finding a rather obscure battery I needed - and they charged less than 1/3 of what I used to pay at Radio Shack! When I found I had purchased a bad battery they replaced it at no charge even though I didn't have the receipt. DO NOT USE THEM TO FIX YOUR PHONES SHATTERED SCREEN... this was by far the worst experience.. they should never fix anyones phones....take your phone to the cell phone store..the man who owns this particular store, talks down to (Woman) and tries to tell you,.you broke your phone..... AFTER he fixed your phone.. I had no issues (only a cracked screen) then he opened my phone and so many glitches were happening.. then about 2 weeks after his bogus repair on my phone ...my screen shattered AGAIN...It came apart under my otter case.. The customer service here was fantastic. They were professional, knowledgeable, and very nice! They replaced my iPhone screen in a couple of hours, even though I scheduled it late in the day. The store has some pretty cool gadgets, way more than just batteries and bulbs. The staff is so helpful and friendly. I will definitely go back here the next time I need anything repaired. Unhappy with the service. Dropped my phone off around 2:00p to get my screen fixed on my phone. The owner told us "about an hour" and it would be done. Said she would call us because they were busy at the moment. We left and an hour went by and they haven't called. So we called them to see how much longer and she said it got pushed back until 4 at the latest. 4 would be 2 hours we waited. We get there at 4 and they STILL haven't touched my phone. The owner went over to the guy who fixes them and whispers to him. I'm assuming maybe they forgot. Literally took him a couple minutes to fix my phone. I asked if we could get some sort of discount for waiting so long while we had crying twins in the car with us waiting more than double the time we were told. Refused an sort of discount and so we paid $120. Disappointed. $5 off I would have been happy with just so I knew these owners had the slightest care for their customers. read more
