Every time I come here and ask a question I'm told they don't have it, only to go and find it on the shelf. Every time I find something I do like and run out, they never have it again in life when I return lol. Like... where is the Bali Coconut Black Sands??? They had a buy three get two free special though, so I had to take advantage. Wasn't 100% satisfied with the new scent I got but it will do for now.

Located in Galleria 2 on the 3rd floor, this Bath and Body Works is all about soaps, lotions, and girly stuff. This place is definitely visual stimulation overload. There are so many little bottles to look at that I ended up not looking at many of them at all. I came in for foaming soap. Yes, I'm addicted to foaming soap. It's not that I am lazy and don't want to lather up regular soap, I just love the foam. Don't judge. I was able to get some bottles of 1/2 price foaming soap ($2.50 after discount) and 6 of the regular ones for $20 ($3.33 each). It's an only an ok deal for the soap, but there is quite a variety of soaps. I have found that the bottles are not made that well and don't depress that well over time. Pleasant service and decent sales will keep me coming back for more soaps, but I'll bring blinders next time so I don't feel overwhelmed by all the colors and shapes.

So, first let me say that I may be a little biased because I worked here for a year. But, I am also a loyal customer and though they may be a bit overpriced ($10.50 for lotion/shower gel), they do give you A LOT of discounts. We had new specials every week. The best well-known is the "Buy 3 get 2 free or buy 2 get 1 one free." This applies to Signature Collection only! And yes, you have to pay for the more expensive items and you get the cheaper ones free. When I worked there I had so many people argue with me about that. Also, if you sign up for the email list, you get coupons every week for things like $10 off $30 or 20% of your entire purchase. The coupons and specials we gave our customers were actually better than my employee discount. Keeping the store looking nice was an avid goal of ours and it irritated us as to why people would pick something up and then lay it down somewhere else only for us to pick up after you and go searching for items people have hidden. It makes our job so much easier if you give us the item you don't want instead of putting it anywhere. Trust me, we won't get mad at you, we'll probably applaud you. Also, we used to spent every Sunday night doing "Floor Sets" where we re-arrange the entire store and change marketing signs and window sets. During Christmas season, this can take 12+ hours. Now, I don't know how the management is now, but when I worked there I could have not have asked for a better managerial staff. They were reasonable and accommodated customer needs. If there was ever a problem, they usually had an answer. I find the same in other stores I visit as well. When you walk into the door, you can almost guarantee someone is going to acknowledge you, say hello and ask if there is anything they can help you find. We know it can be overwhelming when walking into a plethora of colors of smells. That's what we're here for though is to help. :) P.S. They do free gift wrapping! Just ask!

I believe it's about $55-60 per person and each person gets to make two 7oz candles. Personalized touches Include: scent choice and naming the candle. The scents here are great! It was fun exploring all the different notes and profiles. The class is about an hour and everything is provided. As a "student" you get to melt down your wax, smell/ pick your scents, mix scents, pour wax, mix the candle, add your wick, and label your candle. The process is really fast. The longest part is waiting for your candle to cool down/ dry. We were given an estimate between 3.5-4 hours. So plan your day around the area or come in the following day for pick up. Overall, we had a great time and I would recommend this to anyone who is interested. Perfect for solo date, girls night, date night, etc.

Most of the struggle was picking the scents. You get a max of 3, and a little shot sized cup to pour your oils into. Upon entering, I noticed a short Caucasian man near the Alabama Street entrance. At first, he looked like a regular shopper, but I quickly recognized him as the owner from previous store publications. What unsettled me immediately was seeing him peering into my Target bag, as if trying to assess what I had purchased. Perhaps he didn't realize I was watching him while he was watching me. As I walked through the store, the sense of being surveilled intensified. Every time I turned around, the owner was directly behind me. I also observed him on the phone, and shortly after, a man in a yellow shirt and khaki pants began following me as well. When I moved, he moved. When I paused, he pretended to rearrange items on the shelf. The behavior was blatantly obvious and deeply uncomfortable. To ensure I wasn't imagining things, I intentionally changed directions yet both men continued mirroring my movements. When I finally confronted one of them and asked, "Sir, are you following me?" he nervously replied, "No, no, no," even though the truth was painfully clear. This message is directed to the owner: Racial profiling your customers is unacceptable, demeaning, and profoundly unprofessional. I have patronized this store many times, and to be treated this way is not only insulting it is disappointing beyond words. PS: People of color spend money too.

I've never been to a place where I wanted at least one of everything. The best part was how nicely wrapped each item was as part of the service when checking out. The store clerk took great care to show the value. The gentleman running the shop was a pleasure. I truly enjoyed the experience. Even gave a chocolate Hersheys kiss in a small bag along with the stores business card. This is customer service at its finest. I would want my operation running as nicely as this beautiful shop. Truly unique items with a variety of sections. Great for gifts.....and splurging on some self items. I saved the receipt purposely to write a review. It took me some time as I visited in September but have thought of the place over a dozen times since visiting. I do not write reviews often but this place deserves a hands down praise. The cashiers name on the receipt is Sysadmin so I am not sure how to thank the amazing clerk. 9/24/24 11:59 AM. I wish they had a shop like this near me. Pleased to see that I can order online! I will never forget this place, forever burned in my memory. If I am ever back in Houston, I will be back at Bliss on 19th! J. Chapter
