The ladies behind the counter are very cool but gave me conflicting directions I finally found the place. I went there to buy Fresh Look Color Blends contact lenses. This brand is highly touted but doesn't deliver. I think if you have onyx black eyes, these lenses will give off a very intense color change. Mine are medium brown and the result was meh. Not the store's fault whatsoever. So, one blue (slightly better result) pair and one green pair, out over $40. They have a great array of color eye and lip pencils; also lipstick. It's the Colorblends Fresh Look that are the big let-down. read more

Very nice place but I have to admit that I am obsessed with the Beauty Empire on Cullen Blvd. and will probably go out my way to go to that one as they have more of a selection. Or, I may just be lazy and be satisfied with the offerings here. They do have more of a selection than most beauty supply shops but much less than the one on Cullen unfortunately. I did find styles that I could use. Next time I go I will check out the wig selection and see how it compares to the other. read more

When I need to replenish my $1.99 or $3.99 cubic zirconia studs - beauty shops are where I go. This beauty shop is HUGE! There is plenty of parking and they have pretty much all of your beauty needs. From hair products, makes up, weaves, and affordable jewelry - this place has it! But be mindful - they have cameras everywhere! They have a hilarious wall of shame when you first walk in - So great. I love my $3.99 cubic zirconia studs ;) The guys working behind the camera were super helpful and friendly. read more

I really would give this place 5 stars, but the people who work there are not the best... they do you have a couple of new people that are really friendly but the people who are usually there have really weird and unhappy attitudes. Regardless, every time I come here I can find something new and I always find what I need. They have really good wigs if you need something quick and I love coming here to get little bows for my nieces and goddaughters. I love love love the point system. They rack up pretty quickly too. There have been many purchases of mine that I do not have to actually pay for because the point system gives you an equivalent of a certain dollar amount. So, if they just change some of the people who work there, I can come back and review this place with 5 stars! read more

OMG...Terrific! This was my first time visiting this hair store. My beautician came along with me as we were on the hunt for a fly but temporary vacation look. This place is huge! There is everything from A-Z in there. Wigs, weave, lashes, jewelry...you name it, they've got it. Prices are very reasonable and stock is plentiful. Depending on your familiarity with the store, the sheer size and selection could potentially be overwhelming. The only drawback during this visit was the lack of customer service. There was no greeting upon entrance and I did not see a lot of workers. But I did ask one lady for assistance and she was quite helpful and friendly. Most hair stores have people all around who ask you if you need anything. And, that is what I was expecting here, too. But not a big deal because I brought someone with me who knew what to do and where to go. I'll definitely be back, if just to look for new products and styles. read more

Good place but you have to watch the prices as you check out lots of the items don't have prices stickers on them and they will charge you whatever they think it is off hand. I would have been over charged $3 and every dollar counts to me now a days. This store definitely tries to carry everything. read more

I'm giving Beauty Empire 5 stars because I have been to many other beauty supply stores, and none compare to this store. What I like most about this store is that I have always found the items that I need for my hair. Other beauty supply stores come up short when it comes to certain items. I'm very picky about what I put in my hair, so I use the same products. The products I use must not contain alcohol, and I have found that this store has a wide range of alcohol free products while other stores come up short in this department. I also like that this store is always stocked with any item you can think of. Items like plastic caps and mesh wraps are hot items and they go fast, but this store keeps a healthy supply of these favorites on hand. There are plenty of products for men and women. They even have products for kids hair, along with the necessary accessories for little girls. If your hair is natural, they've got you covered too. You can shop here for products that cater to your natural locks. For those of you that wear weave or wigs, this is your store. The variety of hair goes on and on. Trust me when I tell you that they will have what you are looking for. They've got hair to suit every occasion happening in your life. They've got vacation hair (braids), daily work hair (not too expensive straight weave, pony tails or wigs), and elegant hair (Remy). If you wear it, they've got it. I'll be picking up my "vacation" hair this weekend. In addition to hair care products, you can find dome dryers for those of you that are old school like me and still sit under a dryer. You can also get your lashes, lip stick/gloss, nail polish, and jewelry here. There are so many items to choose from so as long as this store is open, there is no reason why you can't find what you are looking for in hair care products or accessories. A new store is coming in September 2015 not far from this location. I was told that there will be lots of promotions, so get ready to snatch up some deals. Check them out online and see the variety of items offered for yourself at beautyempire.com or follow them on Instagram @beautyempireplus. read more

This has always been my go-to beauty supply. If I need something and I'm not in the address, I will wait until I am in the area. Which is exactly what happened this week....I waited until today to come and get the things I needed since I was over here. The prices aren't high and the usually have an abundance of products. With me being your typical natural hair product junky, this place is product heaven to me. The staff has always been helpful and nice which is another reason I return. Good customer service is sometimes hard to come across especially in businesses with high clientele. read more

This place is definitely a lot larger than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised to see all the different items they sell besides hair pieces, extensions, wigs, etc. Lots of jewelry, make-up sunglasses, purses, belts, shoes, caps, etc. The only thing I would improve is their PR skills. I've been here several times and they aren't the friendliest. A simple thank you, come again, goes a looong way in my book! read more

Hey. Feel free to share. By all means PLEASE do. So I popped into Beauty empire on Westheimer right after grey falls right... been coming here for YEARS mind you...so I'm walking down the aisles as I always do and I'm holding my little ones hand. So I'm looking at a product and my little tot goes to grab one after I do...She knocks like three down. I grab the one she had in her hand and moved her out of the way so I can proceed to fix the ones she knocks down like a normal human being. He had already been staringing at us but I didn't think anything of it. This asshole "manager" comes over and pushes his way infront of us to fix it. I politely say " you don't have to do that, I was fixing them" he says with a NASTY attitude AND I QUOTE... "I got it you need to take care of your child, watch your child" ....I was taken back and said "what did you say?! You don't talk to me like that! She is being watched. The audacity!" So I'm standing there baffled by what just happened... I put what I had in my hands down and walked up to him in the front and asked if he was the owner...he said he was the manager and I made it clear I was never going to spend another dime of my money in his store and that he should watch how he talks to people who come to spend money to pay his salary! I called him an asshole and walked out. So mr ass manager, I hope you're happy because you lost a long time customer because of the nasty ignorant way you choose to talk to people. I left and went to Uptown Beauty 6 and they were amazing and was even playing with my little one! read more

Ok beauty empire. I spend 145 bucks in your store, leave and realize several behind the counter items I requested are not in my bag.. I return an as I'm paying notice a sign VIP card with 50$ or more.. When I point it out you tell me that I did not spend 50$...lady I just did 2 min ago.. Lady: oh no next time you spend 50$ Me: no next time, yes you just lost a customer..you have zero prices posted and you get an attitude when I ask on top of it all DO NOT SHOP AT BEAUTY EMPIRE ON WESTHEIMER.. read more

Wish I could leave 0 stars! Very disappointed with the customer service tonight (7/15/21) Literally TRASH. Although the employee tried to help me the best she could, she had no knowledge on anything. She did the correct thing to ask for help, but the MANAGER (Hispanic) refused to help out because it just hit "9pm" and they are now closed. I was told to either buy what I had, or pretty much leave. I did not walk in as soon as closing, I have already been shopping. Just confuses me on why it was so hard to help me.... I could have easily been out your way if you would have just pointed me in the correct direction. Then when I get to the register he tries to FORCE me to use a PIN number, after I told him I am by passing the pin option. He proceeds to say that there was no other option. Then asks for me ID to so credit??? I thought there was no other option? This man was rude as hell and I will never be back. First & last time this place will receive my business. Maybe I came on a shift with a shift manager, but still he needs to learn how to treat PAYING customers. read more

It's a pretty large beauty supply store...can be somewhat overwhelming but it was easy to locate an employee....large variety

I like beauty empire but the manager (Hispanic guy) is crazy rude isn't helpful obvi he racist but that's cool but on top of all that he dead ass tried to over charge me $30 until the other worker (Asian guy) told me he over charged me and fixed it like they're just rude and annoying so I just won't be back read more

Very impressed with the great customer service and quick response of resolving an issue of an overcharge. I will always patronize this establishment when I am in the area! Thank you! read more

Came here looking for havana mambo twist hair and called ahead of time to see if they had it in stock. The man I spoke to over the phone was very helpful and said he would hold it for me (I was kinda late getting to the store though and as soon as I walked in, he was on his way to put it back), but it shows that he did actuall pull it for me =) The store does have a lot of items, and if I'am ever in the neighborhood, I would love to go back. read more

Been standing by the hair extensions area for 15 minutes before I had to ask for help... two employees looked at me and didn't bother to ask if I needed help or find someone who could. Really annoying that I have to ask across the room if someone can help me . read more

HUGE selection. Courteous service. They have a security guard on premise. Either way, got what i needed at a reasonable price and service with a smile. read more

The customer service I received here was exceptional. I was greeted with a smile by everyone I came in contact with and everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful. Plus, the inventory was top notch. I will definitely be back. read more

Probably the best wig selection in the city. & there prices are pretty compatible maybe even cheaper than other regular beauty supply stores. Example: (If another store offers bundles or virgin hair for $200 they probably have it for $180) I just hate that they don't have a location closer to the inner loop. read more

I will be short and sweet...I place with alot of things but the prices are very weird. I can usually get the Bevery Johnson Micro Braid hair back home (Dallas) for about $30 a bag and they have it ranging from $49.99 - $89.99 what a rip off and some of the bags, color, length hair but they cant tell you why the difference. Also the hair I purchased the bag was so skimpy the price is going up and the bags are not as half full as they once were. I wear micros and usually I get 2 bags and only use a bag and a half now Im forced to get 3 bags and use 2 and a half...either the manufactors are ripping us off or the supply houses are ripping us...Either way we are being beat. KEEP AN EYE ON THOSE PRICE TAGS read more

Best beauty supply store ive been to in Texas. They dont stalk you and make you feel like a criminal. They have a huge variety of everything that you could possibly be looking for and they were really nice and treated me human. Definitely recommend this place and I DEFINITELY will be coming back read more

Dominique Star is the TRUTH! She needs a raise!!! She not only helped me find 2 amazing wigs, her application service was top notch! I can say she's the only reason I spend my money here. She slayed me honey! Come see her Monday- Friday!! read more

I've been coming to this store for a few years, and I love the huge selection of hair supplies and other things that they have here.. I drive from the Katy area to shop here for all my hair items, because of how great the customer service is. read more

I love coming here. They have everything! There is a beauty supply store closer to my building but they are not as good as this Beauty Empire. They have so many wigs and so much hair. The selection of relaxers, makeup and beauty tools is also great. I needed some help with achieving a style which would require clip in hair and the young lady that worked in that section very helpful. If you watch YouTube and are looking for some hair that you saw on there, you will more than likely be able to find it here. read more

1st time here and omg the wig selection is A1. Sooo many wigs and so many options available. The employees were nice and not pushy or creepy at all. I will be back. read more

I love the Beauty empire chain. I like that they have variety. This location has been promoting a second store that is about 2-3 blocks down From this location. Well today I visited both and I was unimpressed with the new location. It is very blank.. Plain ..and a waste of space. The Beauty empire plus what they call it promoted a lot of things on their Instagram page that they didn't even have in stock. I would have to say that this location was better stocked than down the street new location. The prices were no steals like I am accustomed to when I visit the one in south park. From now on I think I will stick to my regular location they always have sales and deals. Check in and get a discount all kinds of customer appreciation. read more

They are nice ppl but they are out of stock of a lot of things I'm looking for. I always have to drive to another location plus there prices on some items are too high. read more

It's a great beauty supply store with a large variety of what ever you are looking for. What will have me coming back is the customer service!! From the time I walked in till the moment l left I felt welcome.. They didn't follow me around like I was stealing or make me feel rushed at all. I will return. read more

They have a huge stock of wigs which is great. But all sales are final which sucks especially when you can't try on a wig before purchasing nor can you return one that doesn't fit. read more

This place is probably my favorite place for any beauty needs. Every time I stop in I'm always greeted in the nicest most welcoming way. They have a crazy selection of wigs and beauty products. Everyone there is super helpful finding anything you need. The only reason for giving a 4 and not a 5 is they didn't have the bangs I was looking for. But I would still highly recommend this place! read more

1st time going. Don't go and defiantly avoid. Customer service by the older woman is terrible. She is rude and no thank you. I'm sure they don't care about that since it seems to be the only beauty supply in area. So I'm sure they feel people will always come. Well not me and my friends and business associates in the area. Avoid and go elsewhere, even if it's out of your way. read more

There are Several Beauty Empire's but this is, by far, the Best One. There is a Security Guard on duty for those who have Sticky Fingers or those who love 5/10 finger discounts. They have a very wide selection of products and even have Discount Boxes, with 50% off Hair/Wigs in them. Their prices are very reasonable and affordable. I am very indecisive and become a little overwhelmed when a store is huge, has great products/prices, and I want to buy everything I see, So it takes me a while to choose items. Never have I been followed around in this store because I'm taking too long and they think I'm going to steal something. I Absolutely Love This Store!!!! Now if I could just persuade the owner to open a store in Stafford or Sugarland because We need one and We would truly appreciate it. Plus it would save me Gas Money but until then I will continue to drive to and patronize this business. Thank You Beauty Empire. read more

I went to the beauty empire on Westheimer on the 27th at night. I made a purchase of 348 dollars and the Chinese guy was so pleasant and told me I'm welcome back any day , he also gave me a free Jamaican castor oil.that night I realized the spanx I bought was way to small and couldn't get pass my thigh and it was stated xl. So I rushed back the next day but immediately Miguel saw me he said ,'no return '! Looking at me as if I was a nobody and then he says next customer..he didn't even care to listen to me . He said it was stated in my receipt but I handed him the receipt and that part was out which was their mistake..After trying to explain myself over and over again he made a call to the owner and she said I could change .. Guess what?? When he gave me the 3xl he opened the pack and it was xl inside then he took another pack and it was cream inside instead of black and they say you are not allowed to open the pack ...after everything I asked Miguel for my receipt he said I gave it back to you right there I opened my bag and brought out everything he still insisted he gave me and said ,"next customer" after attending to some customers and he noticed i was just standing looking at him, he went to check on the shelf and found it and said," you too much problem" and handed over my receipt to me .I was so embarrassed to think i also wanted to make more purchase..to also think I am 9months pregnant going through such disrespect from the store manager was a shame ..Miguel should be replaced he is bad news and plain rude ..I would have said I was never going to return but the owners are amazing just the Miguel store manager that needs anger management. read more

I have been here a while back and had a very bad experience. Black lady at the front was very nice but her other ladies were not patient and either didin't know much about hair or acted like they didn't know. But today OMG this new lady they have Starr she was an angel. She was just as nice as the other black lady from last time (I guess she was off today didn't see her) and she educated me so much on hair wigs and hair products. I just love this beauty supply and the new lady Starr. She was the best ever. The store was neat and when I asked for wigs i saw online she went right to them with no problem. I buy hair every week and this is my new hair store. Great service from Ms. Starr and very educated about hair and products. Now all they need is a person doing these lace wig and it will be a one stop shop. read more

Was treated quite rudely when returning hair that I did not realize was the wrong color. I opened the package but did not use the hair. They let me exchange it but not without major attitude and chastising. I was told that there can be absolutely no altering of the package. My question is , How can you know it's the wrong color without opening it? I have patronized this store for the last 2 years and have always spent a good deal of money in this store. I was in a hurry and getting ready for a funeral. The shop is helpful until you need to make a return. I will not be coming back. read more
