I walked in and the male standing at the front door didn't greet me. No one did. I headed to Ogee to look at something and a woman was telling a customer why she shouldn't buy one of their products. Strange. After wandering for a good long time I was finally greeted. I like the products many of them I use daily. After viewing them I left. I can order on line. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They have a wonderful assortment of perfumes and colognes, including limited edition seasonal releases. Prices are a bit high for my taste, but comparable to other similar stores. You can also have various make up treatments done here, including eyebrow waxing, facials, and make up prep for a formal event. read more

This was my first experience going into Bluemercury because they are the only physical store that seems to sell the brand that I was looking for. It is safe to say that I will not be visiting this store again. Thank god they have other stores in the Houston area. The employees at this store are utterly rude, and it seems as though I was not the only person left with this impression. When I was in the store alone, it was fine as they asked me if I was doing alright... that all ended when a white woman entered the store looking at more expensive products than myself. In the middle of me asking a worker a question, she left me standing to go follow the other woman to help instead (even though she showed no sign of needing assistance while I had to go up for help). I was absolutely baffled by this interaction. I guess the other worker in the store noticed I still had a question that had yet to be answered and helped me instead (she was trying to help, but it seemed like she would rather be doing something else). On top of this experience, the exact item I was looking for wasn't in the store so I had to spend even more money to get the larger size. I am disappointed that I had to pay double the price to a store that was this awful. Overall, Bluemercury as a company has many brands for you to select from that I liked to see... however you can catch me at another store enjoying the only facet of the store that I liked. read more

First time there today and both employees were very nice and helpful to me. They let me try samples of the products I was interested in before spending so much money incase it didn't work for me. Would 100% come again. read more

I had received some make up for Christmas that I needed to exchange.... was not greeted well, passed on to someone else, and never given any direction without seeking it. The staff seemed extremely distracted and uninterested in the customers, and even checking out was with a lack of attention at best. Not sure what the problem is, but would not return for future purchases. read more

Went in to have eyebrows waxed with my daughter before prom. She walked out in tears after the lady removed way too much eyebrow. Did a terrible job on both of us! She said she was so tired! She should have gone home and canceled our appointment instead of doing a horrible job. Wasted $90. Hoping my daughters eyebrows return! Will never go back. read more

By far the BEST facial I've ever had! Elizabeth is not only the most knowledgeable facialist I've been to, but she is also one of the sweetest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She took time to explain each step of the facial process and told me a little bit about each of the products she used. She made sure I was comfortable and relaxed, making my hour-long facial seem like it lasted an entire afternoon. She didn't try to push any products on me either, which I really appreciated because many facialists have coaxed me into buying expensive products that I never end up using or liking. I cannot say enough great things about Elizabeth, and the rest of the Bluemercury employees for that matter. I am telling everyone I know to go see her because she really is the best! read more

I love the store and love that they carry skinceuticals products and I've shopped at this store for the last 2 years or so. The staff has changed over the years but most recently the esthetician that use to work there is now gone. I was absolutely disappointed when I had my appointment in July and come to find out she was no longer with the company. I would give this place a 5 but given my last experience there .. The sales Reps are very knowledgable in the products. They Are friendly and not pushy. The products are high quality brands and worth the money you pay. This place is incredible. It's been open for nearly a year, and I live about 2 blocks away. I went in for the first time this week to purchase a Christmas gift certificate for my aunt, and I left loaded down with high end samples, some gorgeous Nest Christmas candles for myself, and a beautifully wrapped gift certificate for my aunt. I had a really informative chat with their aesthetician, Elizabeth, and her prices aren't cheap, but well in line with what you'd expect from a spa this beautiful in this area. She recommended some great treatments for my skin that I'm planning to schedule soon. In addition to the spa services, the store carries Darphin (one of the deluxe samples I received was their Stimulskin Plus Serumask, and after applying it on the first night, it was basically like waking up with someone else's MUCH younger face), Kiehl's, Laura Mercier, Trish McEvoy, Molton Brown, Nars, Nest, Skinceuticals, etc. Fantastic selection of high end beauty brands and makeup. But what really sets them apart is their customer service. I was in there on Christmas Eve, and instead of being annoyed at working on a holiday, every girl in the store was pleasant, well informed, and eager to go above and beyond to provide a great customer experience. It's so nice to know I don't have to go into a department store anymore to get some of my favorite brands. I will definitely be back! read more
