    starting the candle making process

Everything went well and we had so much fun! Our instructor Lina was so helpful throughout out the entire process from givingout instructions, picking scents to helping us name our candles!

Went here to celebrate my friend's birthday and we had a ball! Upon entry, we are greeted by very enthusiastic team members who tell us how our experience will begin. You start by choosing the vessel for your candle, some are included in the original price and others are an additional cost. Once you head to the back, there are a plethora of scents from you to choose from for your oil. You can choose up to two. After receiving your welcome beverage, the workers then bring you your oil and you can mix and adjust until you get the scent that is perfect for you. You are then brought coconut wax and once it gets below 180 degrees, you pour your oil in. There are adornments that are optional to place on the top of your candle. Finally, you name your candle (might be a good idea to think of this beforehand, it took me awhile :)) You do have to wait a few hours for the candles to cure before you can pick them up so we went for lunch in the area before heading back to our beautifully wrapped candles. Mine came out smelling absolutely phenomenal and I am very happy with the out come!!!

This was a cool idea for a group activity! I went here with friends for a quick early evening activity and it was fun. We booked an online reservation for a 7pm friday session of create your own candle the day of. You choose two scents when making the candles and have the option of choosing different covers and candle holders for a few dollars extra. It's also a BYOB of wine or you can get a complimentary glass of wine from them. I suggest bringing your own if you're particular about the type of wine you drink. The class lasted maybe an hour or 2 but the candle needs to sit for a while to cure so we had to come back another day to pick up the candle. They hold the candle for you for 30 days so you have plenty of time to pick it up. The business owner's daughter ran the class and she was such a great teacher! It's such a cute idea and I would do it again.

The parking was good! The check in was pretty fast and easy to follow but the seating was off. I feel like they over booked or didn't know who was a part of a group so they should have separate seating. The scent options were nice and had a good amount of scents to choose from. I feel like the environment was nice, well decorated and neat. I would book again maybe at an earlier time during the week when it's less crowded. The amount of people in the room made it hard to hear the instructions given from beginning to end. Also because some people picked the same scents we had to wait to get started until they were available from another person. They did bring them to us so we didn't have to hunt them down. I think it was a good price for the experience, I just wish the set up was executed better.

This is not the actual location we were at. We were at the one located on Westheimer, and I didn'tfind it on Yelp. This is a really good spot. It was nicely clean and set up well. The instructors were kind and made sure we made the candles safely. We were supposed to have an apron, but they didn't have any in stock. Some of the scents were very light and didn't smell like they were named. The handle on the wax container I had was a bit broken. They should remove that one so it won't drop and the hot wax won't drip out. We had a great time.

We had a blast creating our special candles. It was a first date for me and there are no regrets. Great service and the instructions were clear and simple. It will be a memorable experience for sure, and a cool little candle that I can display and burn.

We came in late (due to the limited parking) so I missed the name of our instructor but she was friendly and knowledgeable. I believe it's about $55-60 per person and each person gets to make two 7oz candles. Personalized touches Include: scent choice and naming the candle. The scents here are great! It was fun exploring all the different notes and profiles. The class is about an hour and everything is provided. As a "student" you get to melt down your wax, smell/ pick your scents, mix scents, pour wax, mix the candle, add your wick, and label your candle. The process is really fast. The longest part is waiting for your candle to cool down/ dry. We were given an estimate between 3.5-4 hours. So plan your day around the area or come in the following day for pick up. Overall, we had a great time and I would recommend this to anyone who is interested. Perfect for solo date, girls night, date night, etc.

Upon entering, I noticed a short Caucasian man near the Alabama Street entrance. At first, he looked like a regular shopper, but I quickly recognized him as the owner from previous store publications. What unsettled me immediately was seeing him peering into my Target bag, as if trying to assess what I had purchased. Perhaps he didn't realize I was watching him while he was watching me. As I walked through the store, the sense of being surveilled intensified. Every time I turned around, the owner was directly behind me. I also observed him on the phone, and shortly after, a man in a yellow shirt and khaki pants began following me as well. When I moved, he moved. When I paused, he pretended to rearrange items on the shelf. The behavior was blatantly obvious and deeply uncomfortable. To ensure I wasn't imagining things, I intentionally changed directions yet both men continued mirroring my movements. When I finally confronted one of them and asked, "Sir, are you following me?" he nervously replied, "No, no, no," even though the truth was painfully clear. This message is directed to the owner: Racial profiling your customers is unacceptable, demeaning, and profoundly unprofessional. I have patronized this store many times, and to be treated this way is not only insulting it is disappointing beyond words. PS: People of color spend money too.

I've never been to a place where I wanted at least one of everything. The best part was how nicely wrapped each item was as part of the service when checking out. The store clerk took great care to show the value. The gentleman running the shop was a pleasure. I truly enjoyed the experience. Even gave a chocolate Hersheys kiss in a small bag along with the stores business card. This is customer service at its finest. I would want my operation running as nicely as this beautiful shop. Truly unique items with a variety of sections. Great for gifts.....and splurging on some self items. I saved the receipt purposely to write a review. It took me some time as I visited in September but have thought of the place over a dozen times since visiting. I do not write reviews often but this place deserves a hands down praise. The cashiers name on the receipt is Sysadmin so I am not sure how to thank the amazing clerk. 9/24/24 11:59 AM. I wish they had a shop like this near me. Pleased to see that I can order online!
